Mike Commons there is 2 issues with that, usually the gauge holders are 52mm that’s 60mm. Secondly you will have to wire up and get additional sensors fitted for the other options. I recommend the stack gauge as good pedigree, clean look and super accurate. tidd.ly/2PnrSOL has a choice of white and black face
These Parrott Bros doesnt the amount of followers that they deserve. He's seriously the most informative and helpful RUclips resource especially for the 8N TT. I wish they could help me solve the sponge insulation issue that's blowing around when I use the aircon
Haha thanks for the kind words, the foam is the insulation gaskets found between each jon in the heating system, if you pull a vent forward you will see it wrapped around the end of each vent, or possibly not in your case, usually over the years the heat cycles wears the stickyness down and it comes loose and comes out the vents
Like what others have said - finally! A YT video showing how to dismantle these. My clip-on phone magnetic phone mount pushed the flimsy centre bar holding the vent flaps away making the vent pretty much useless. Couldn't for the life of me work out how to take it apart. You've just saved me around £10 for a replacement one off eBay and given me a small sense of achievement. TYVM :D (the tenner saved has half paid for and OEM Mounts one - name-dropped ya ;) )
colin bell they are brilliant. Because you sit so low in the tt it’s hard to find a good place for phones. Window is too short really end up blocking it
Brilliant video just what I was looking for! I've bought a vent off ebay and am going to fit a boost gauge but didn't want to destroy it working out how it comes apart... printed my own fitting ring so hope that fits thanks
If you are putting gauges you need the black surround piece the one that is attached to the top bezel otherwise the aluminum ring wont line up with the vent epoxy always works best!!!
at 10:48 you mentioned a vent ring. Is that an aftermarket item or did I miss something? I am going to mount a boost gauge in my TT and would like to mount it as you described. And to be clear, you said you were still able to use your phone mount?
Yes an aftermarket part that you add to hold the boost gauge. Links in video description. I would buy the Cloude 9 customs one as it fits the best. Yes you can still use phone mound after
What's the expected peak boost from a remapped car compared to standard? I've seen different opinions. I've seen 15psi standard and 18psi remapped is that about right?
Hi mate excellent video i found a liquid gauge race diagnostic from s3 8l!!your opinion about ?are there problems?because this company don't produce any more!!thanks!!
If you can get a liquid gauge and pin code they are awesome, they do everything you’d want pretty much. I wouldn’t worry too much as don’t really brake as far as I’m aware
Am getting my TT in a few weeks . Every one tells me to get the 225 bam ENGINE. Ok you got the 180bhp tjen the 225bhp. But what is the bam bit about. Plus witch one do i go for is there much in them
Mini on nitrous 105BHP to 205BHP the reason most aim for the Bam engine is that they have shown to be the best for tuning purposes, stronger engine, best set up, wide band ecu etc. 180 is smaller turbo, 225 is bigger turbo and can produce nearly 290bhp on stock turbo and stock engine with some subtle mods
@@TheParrottBros so go for the 225 bam TT tjen its a no brainer thank u . I will be running a 50 to 100 wet shot of nitrous as well just for fun.. u say it's got a wideband as well so i can tap into that to put a AF gauge to that . Or am I getting that bit wrong.
Mini on nitrous 105BHP to 205BHP Wideband or narrow band is just a reference to the voltage output of the sensor. Narrowband 0-1v. Wideband 0-5v. A wideband gives better resolution so they are better to tune with. As you are just monitoring afr via a standalone gauge and not using it for engine control (aka the ecu isn't monitoring the signal) it doent really matter. Most standalone gauges are wideband
@@TheParrottBros dam lol I am getting my TT in a few weeks. I have been told go for the 225bhp not the 180bhp. As it's got the bam ENGINE. What is the bam bit about . If u can help me.

So 1st Q lol Have you run nitrous on any of your cars. If not cool. If got lots more Q to come. I.e fuel psi into the fuel rail. I am sure they are 45psi .
Mini on nitrous 105BHP to 205BHP I’ve not actually. It’s not a common mod in England. Easier to do water meth injection. Stock fuel rail is 3bar, usually when mapped upgrade to 4bar.
@@TheParrottBros 3bar cool meens I can run a 1:2 ratio. Been doing nos for years . It's the cheapest way to add 50bhp to 1000bhp. Just got to pull the timing when spaying and get the air to fuel ratio correct I am old school so I check the spark plugs as well. That's y i asked about the windband ecu with is nice as I could get that to add the fuel. But i run a wet kit as it's safer . And your right in the uk nitrous is not big here. In the US its big. companies like nos /Nx/ cold fusion/ in the uk we use wizards of nitrous. Trev is the God of nos. But the meth & water kits r nice touch. it cools the chamber down inlet temperatures Down . and course allows you to advance That timing to get massive power. Had someone one time got a water methanol kit then the next day said to me don't produce no extra power. Wast of time 🤔😂he forgot to get it tuned and to advance the timing. I will be using a water and Med kit on top of the nitrous in the end. As nitrous u have to pull timing but with both kits u shod get away with pulling no timing when spraying. Sing about mess and water kits is that you must have them filled up all times because you tune the engine that way it's only you run out of of water and e85 you're knackered because your advanced timing is too far . But then goimg into things way to much . can the TT be tuned on HP tuners or EFI live. On the stock ecu. Look into the nitrous even if you only had a 50 shot you'll be amazed you can even use it just to take away the turbo lag so there's someone deletes turn off when it hits 10 PSI . Cool u take care my new friend
finally a video that shows how to get the fascia off - nice one
