Great video! For the TTs with the steering wheel on the left side: Don't remove the glovebox. The rubber access point is above the throttle pedal, so you'll be able to do all the wiring from the drivers side.
Having some difficulties finding the hose coming off the inlet manifold, this hose is not in the same place as yours Will try again tomorrow and update this comment with my hose location. Might be useful for someone else.
Great job mate. So handy having a grommet hole in the bulkhead to feed stuff like that through. Its almost like they knew people would retro fit stuff! Surprising there is not more behind the vents to block off/reroute for the air supply. My naiviety showing up here. I would expect the car when idling that it would sit at zero PSI until you put your foot down and engage the turbo rather than running at negative. nice work!
Cheers mate defo a good place to run the vac line well handy and not too much happening behind the vent gauge only sits on 0 with engine off as nothing is happening when on idle there is vacuum and on boost there is positive pressure 👍🏻
I thought I'd already liked this .. but yet again another fantastic video 👌 I do like the idea that the guage is a direct analogue feed and will always show as a failsafe of the map sensor
Good work fella, like your boost gauge on my MK2 the instructions suggested tapping into the fuel system!!!... mental, good to see you have done it the safe way
Done this + oil pressure. The hole to access the engine bay is not on the same place on the LHD. Mine is near the brake fluid box. Unless I did’nt see another behind the cabine filter ? Anyway, nice and easy job mate !
i see an adaptor with a rubber gromit on eBay that holds it in place , how have you managed to snug fit it in the hole without using a rubber gromit and adaptor
Anyway to ‘easily ‘ run it on the other side of the car? I want my gauge at the lower dash, right above my throttle leg, and braced to the center console strut with an L-bracket. Great vid man and I’ll split off where you said in the bay!
Nice, good looking gauge that - fits the TT well. You did well installing that under the waterfall cover without taking the air filter out! I had to when I did mine, couldn't get access otherwise 😆 Shame it's slightly out at default, fingers crossed thats easily resolved. Did I see that boost to nearly 25 though? Seems high!
Cheers mate was a straight forward fit, and the gauge looks good but yeah a shame its not on the 0 I see if it sorts itself out and speak to new south about it.yeah spiked at 25psi it has a stage 2 revo map on it which I don't like(came on the car) but I get a proper map put on it
@@CarChris82 Ah yeah I guess with a stage 2 it will be higher - amazed it ran okay before you got it without all the supporting mods you've added since. It's turned into a really tidy little TT now, excellent work 👌🏻
@benofthenorthuk i believe it had the stage 2 map because it got turbo back system with sports cat but now i put the other bits on its a proper stage 2 set up .but I want a different map for sure
Shit, I did what you did on my 225, but there were 2 lines coming up and I cut the wrong hose!??? There were two coming up and assumed they all came from the same source. Didn’t do the fuel pressure regulator. Now to replace that line. Weird that your car only showed 1 line, but mine has two. Please help! Lol
Replying back here to see if I can get some quick help on this (and further clarity). I am getting turbo leak basically where the turbo is, so i might be using the right line, but pulled on it too much when establishing the T connection...could it be that simple? Also my cabin filter was pretty damp when I turned it over (if that makes any difference..still newbey here be easy lol).
@@CarChris82 almost done with the install, and going to reroute the vacuum line on the driver side to have more room..I definitely think the line is kinked around the firewall..so going up the hole above the gas pedal this time, not the glove box..thanks for replying Chris! I love your vids and attitude!

Great video mate, like the clean and simple gauge too
cheers mate👍 that's exactly what I was looking for like a bit oem+ sort of look
You got the parrottbros seal of approval! Haha now I'm for sure watching 👍

Thanks mate and definitely a good failsafe aswell as looking good at the same time 👍
Good work fella, like your boost gauge on my MK2 the instructions suggested tapping into the fuel system!!!... mental, good to see you have done it the safe way
Cheers mate 👍 they all seem to say tap into the fuel system but as we know that's not ideal and if you have a vac leak can cause a big problem
That looked like a lot of fiddly work, well done...I'm glad i don't need one!
Cheers mate 👍 it wasn't to bad to do but needed to be done right 👍
Very good video mate, and i liked that you didn't tap into fuel pressure line. Cheers 👊🏽
Very nice guide again Chris
Cheers buddy 👍
Thanks great video will help massively with my install
No worries mate glad the vid helps that why I film what I'm doing 👍
Great video.
Good video, helped allot buddy!
Cheers mate glad the vids are helping 👍
Great content mate 👌
Thanks buddy 👍🏻

Belle vidéo 👌 😉

@@CarChris82 👍 😉 TT
Done this on every tt iv had great video
Got to be done mate👍🏻cheers buddy
@@CarChris82 I allways used 60mm gauges fits perfect But you losses the full heater vent as but most people like the 52 mam
great video. i’m planning on doing mine sometime soon, what size fuse did you use?
Niiiiice
Cheers mate 👍
Hey mate can I run a wire from the same place instead of going directly through the firewall to get to the battery???to install a sub and amplifier
If your wire can fit through there I’m sure it would be fine
Can you read the boost from the obd port? Or is that only on newer cars
i see an adaptor with a rubber gromit on eBay that holds it in place , how have you managed to snug fit it in the hole without using a rubber gromit and adaptor
Have you watched the vid it shows me using an adapter to fit the gauge in the vent 😅 🤣

Do you have to glue the bezel back on, or can it click back in?
Yes put a little glue on
Hey mate ! Nice video.. If i don’t want the light of the jauge i don’t have to do the electric wires ?
Just plug it to the motor ? Thanks
Yes mate thats right 👍🏻
What diverter valve are you using? If Forge, are you using Green or Yellow spring?
Yes mate forge with yellow spring I have a vid on it 👍🏻
I assume this will be almost exactly the same for an A3 8p?
Definitely the same on a 8L I may fit one to my mk2 tt which will be the same as a 8p
Hi mate what mm vac line did you use? And what meters did you buy 3?
The vac line all came with the gauge mate 👍🏻
What intake filter is that
Large proram with b5 tip i have a vid on fitting it so you will see it there 👍🏻
Mate great video I'm assuming you disconnected the battery?
😉
Cheers mate its only the ignition live and ignition was off so not live 👍🏻

Any line from the inlet manifold will show a vacuum at idle.mine has 2 lines one that goes to the n249 and the other to the fpr
