MK1 TT Boost Gauge Upgrade With OSIR Parts!!

  • It is finally time to upgrade the boost gauge setup on the TT. This was the first part I ever put on this car and I had no idea how far this project would come since I installed the original. My old setup never really "fit" the build, so it was only a matter of time before I found a better setup. I think this new OSIR setup not only looks better, but fits the unique style of the TT's interior.
    This may just be my favorite interior mod that I've done to this car!
    Thank you for watching!

    Might be a little late, and kind of pricey. But if you want a solution without gauges in the vents check out the FIS-control unit. Gives a lot of control and sensor input for the money 😄

    Hey, Hunter, I watch your channel often. I have a 2002 TT Quattro Roadster 225 with the Baseball Optic leather interior. I’m thinking about installing gauges in the same area as you cleanly and creatively did here, with the A3 OSIR pod. It looks perfectly integrated, and it of course leaves intact the air vents, which to me is important to keep the factory appearance, not to mention to preserve all the air flow. Anyway, can you please tell me why you didn’t use the 12-volt wiring from the cigarette lighter, which is already right there (and is already fused) to power the boost gauge? Couldn’t that wiring be tapped into instead of going all the way over to the fuse box area?

  • @joseberdecia4187

    Hello Hunter, can you provide info on the actual boost gauge that you installed? I like the color (light blue) not to shinny, also like how it looks on the car. I got a 2002 Audi TT convertible and that's one of the things I want to do to the car. Thanks, the video is a great tool. Appreciate you making it for the rest of us.

    Hey Hunter, what did you do with the 12v power socket since that is right by the ashtray, lastly what kind of peak boost are you getting with your current setup? Awesome video as always, great part was that ignition power and constant power location I never knew!

    • @HunterDirection
      @HunterDirection  2 года назад +1

      That's a great question. I am planning on wiring that 12v outlet into the small cubby under where the ashtray used to be. (Where the fuel hatch button is) You can remove that part from the ashtray itself. I've got to go get the stuff to extend the wiring still. Glad you found the video helpful. My tuner has the car set to peak around ~20psi depending on weather and conditions. Thank you for the continued support!
