      Thanks so much Vivian! I don't know if I could handle all that humidity in FL.

    Low right part of the tree has a higher value than in the photo.:)

      If I wanted my painting to look just like the photo, I would not have sat outside and painted in the freezing cold. ;)

    Hi! I sat up till 2pm last night watching your video. I love this tree! You are so talented and inspiring. I can't wait to try it. My trees have greatly improved from watching you paint. You consistently bring the tree to life with such a feeling of realism that I feel I'm seeing it in person. I really need to get out there and start freezing my butt off too! Ps- I'm getting ready to order some more paint. I need to order some knives - what size is your poor broken knife?

      @JasonTako  2 года назад +1

      So glad the videos are helping. Yes, get out and paint. It's challenging but well worth the experience. My knife is the smallest they make, I think around 1.25 inches.

    What are you mixing the paint with to thin it? In the container on the right.

    Hi، I have seen your demo of your painting, it's incredible, I love the way you paint and I hv learned a lot from your tutorials.
    Basically I paint in acrylic and have recently painted a historical mosque of 16th century but there something missing in that picture may color temperature or focal point or color combination, I will appreciate your comments and advises to make this piece more interesting,
    So please guide how I can show you the picture of my painting for some valuable advises from you,
    Thanks and bye

    Gorgeous and very helpful! May I ask, why do you call it a sketch and not a painting?

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Dennis! I call it a sketch for two reasons. The first is because a sketch isn't just something you do with a pencil, it can be done with paint as well. Second and most importantly, I'm only gathering information and not intending to create a finished piece of work. Thinking of it as a sketch takes the pressure off and gives me the freedom to capture the information I need in the short amount of time I have.
