I have changed completely to bridgestone. I use the tour BXS. It feels great with wedges, seems long off a driver. Thank you for reviewing the bridgestone. Most things are titleist orientated.
I've been using the BXS this year. I've had no issues with scuffs and durability. Really stable in the wind which is just as well because where I play the trees grow sideways. I switched from ZStar xv because the BXS feels a little better. I've found a couple of Titleist Avx balls recently which I really enjoyed using. I'd quite happily use them.
I have used these balls all summer and even with the discouraging scuff marks I have played 36+ holes and seen no issues or performance drop, off only cosmetic. by far best ball I've ever used.
I have used the BX Tour for the past year and a half. I have tested every kind of ball and found the BX to be the best! Lowest Driver spin while maintaining great spin around the greens! I think 2022 will bring a new BX series ball--can't wait!!
All the Bridgestone Tour -B balls are great performers. I've tried them all and they all seem to do what they say "on the tin," as y'all Brits say. But they do all scuff very easily, too. As another comment said, it would be an interesting video if you compared two or three balls within one manufacturer's lineup. A premium urethane offering the cheaper ionomer balls. Say, the Bridgestone e12 Contact vs. the B-RXS vs. the B-X. You did a great video a couple years back comparing the Titleist TruFeel to the ProV1 on the course, and I thought it was very informative and (as always) entertaining. Keep up the great work, James and Chris!
I am currently playing with the Srixon AD333. I just recently changed to this ball after seening a review on youtube. I love the feel, I get decent distance and spin around the greens. Paid about 19.00 US dollars at Walmart. I really like the feel of the Kirkland ball from Costco but I lose distance with it.
Great video…. I don’t know if I agree with Bridgestone saying this is for 105 mph or more swing speed….. I’ve been playing this ball for almost 2 years and I love it…. Gives me everything I need and it’s a couple dollars less than Pro V1…. Go and test this no matter what your driver swing speed because I won’t swing near 105 mph
I use Bridgestone Tour B Rx, about £34 a dozen. Brilliant balls I've used Bridgestones for a few years now. I do agree that the covers do scuff more easily than some but they are still worth it.
My Golf Spy’s ball test this year is a really good read. I know they did a podcast as well. Worth the watch if you really want to know which ball out there is good for you.
The Bridgestone tour BX is one of the balls I use. Its a lower spin lower flight firm ball that is nice around the greens. I'm currently comparing this ball to the Vice pro plus. Great review.
I game the Callaway chrome soft because the feel around the green is incredible. I played with the Bridgestone tour b xs golf ball and it feels amazing as well. It may be slightly longer off the tee for me and I may change when my chrome softs run out.
I've played the Tour B330S since 2010ish, my SP would be 101-105. The B should be for Brembo they have some stopping power on approach and around the greens. Also found them to be good in the wind.
How much do I like Chris. He takes dour to a new level. I've been using Bridgestone Tour B RXS for over a year and not about to change anytime soon. Great video guys.
Standard swing speed of 100-105. Can get upto 115 if i try and kill the ball... I normally play srixon distance because they are cheap for when I inevitably hit them in places I can't find them.
my golf spy recently talked about this. Summary yes scuff and mud does affect flight. It curves away from the damage/mud due to "aerodynamic interferrence". So if you have to play a damaged ball, make sure its in line with target, unless you have a massive slice then put it on the right.
What balls would you like to see?? I'd like to see you guys try the Wilson duo professional and staff model Bridgestone tour b xs, rx rxs and e12 Contacts Srixons z star and z star xv Tp5 and tp5x Prov1 and prov1X and avx Chrome soft X and chrome soft Xxio 11 Vice pro and vice pro plus A video comparison of all of the premium golf balls at once. Comparing Feel, spin numbers, distance and durability. With driver, 7 iron, wedge and putter. A honest rating of all the balls out of 10 in each category.
It’s funny, I bought some Tour B-XS to try and gave some to my friend to compare against his beloved Pro V1X. My swing speed is about 85mph, but I’ve played 3 solid rounds with them. I don’t feel they spin any better around the green, but have noticed short iron and full wedge shots stop better. My friend said they did not spin as well around the green and felt he was getting a lower trajectory on full shots. His SS is in the 105-110 range. He did not care for them. Go figure.
I changed over to Bridgestone balls at the beginning of this year due to price compared to the pro v1x and I think they are great value for money plus they are one of the best balls I have played with can't understand why you don't see more golfers playing with them to be honest
Does the box say these balls should give you “more distance” while “still providing feel around the greens” (Like the packaging of practically every golf ball)?! I like the use of “extreme” and “explosive”!
Yeah standard ball marketing however these balls are really good, to be honest Bridgestones have always IMO been better than Titleist, massively underrated!
In a hit against the on the box marketing, the recent MyGolfSpy ball test actually found that for mid (~100) and slow (~85) swing speeds the X/XS models were longer off the driver than the supposedly low swing speed RX/RXS models. And it was actually the RX model that was the longest off the tee for high (~115) swing speeds (actually the third longest tested). The slow swing speed RX/RXS models were the two longest balls tested overall off irons for both mid and slow swing speeds so the marketing might have it correct there.
I have found Bridgestone premium balls to have less side spin that Titleist and Titleist style balls such as Snell and Vice. I have played them for years since hte original Bridgestone Tour models were out 10 years a go or such. Great golf balls.
When I first tried the Tour B X, the same thing with getting a scuff on it. It is a long ball, from what I experienced, but the main con is durability.
Sadly in the UK it is difficult to buy Bridgestone golf clubs. They are top quality and favoured in the far East. The best Driver I ever had was a J45. That ball should not have scuffed after 2 hits..
with my specs and questions answered on Bridgestones ball recommend site i got recommended the E12 contact for my game and handicap. Waiting on when I've ran out to get a box and try them out.
You will love the e12 Contact. As long or longer than the B RX, a little softer, and provides enough spin to hold the greens. All at a nice cost savings. Been using it since it came out.
Have liked the performance of Bridgestone balls for a long time, but its a shame about their "new" logo... I use the Titleist logo to align my putts, and would need to change this up with the Bridgestone's.
Great video boys, a pitch mark repairer wouldn't go a miss. I see pros on the tv using tees to repair pitch marks, surely they should be setting an example. 👍
Hi James They are great balls used them for the last year! Try rubbing two Bridgestone golf balls together and do the same with a pro v1 you won’t believe what happens Ps please teach Chris how to repair pitch marks lifting the turn is a no no
I play the Bridgestone tour bxs ball James best ball I've ever used try them even more spin around the greens and my swing speed with driver is 114.8 mph on average was fitted at tour x golf
More ball manufacturers really should put the recommended designed swing speed for that specific ball on the marketing and the box. But they won't because they don't want to limit the people who'll buy them thinking it will make them spin it like a tour player.
Well, I was sold until the scuffs. I am around 110 with driver, and had always wondered if their fitting was for driver or irons as well. I certainly don't swing an iron at 110.
Just picked up a sleeve of the e6, really enjoying them for my 90 mph speed. If you're over here in Oz, recommend Long Reef in Sydney, nice links course with great views, and Cypress Lakes up in wine country in the Hunter Valley about 2 hours north of Sydney. There's also a nice course there designed by Greg Norman (The Vintage) but a bit too technical for me. Give us a shout if you're over.
James, is it ball speed or club head speed? You started with driver club head speed but just before your 2nd shot you said ball speed!. I look for a lot of things, ok, not true, I do look for a lot of golf balls once I’ve hit the bl**dy things😂. Seriously, like Chris, I like a nice soft ball around the greens that spin, as he said, that’s where the hole is, what happens off the tee is going to happen no matter what, you may gain a few yards with a Pro-V1 or Chrome Soft but not too much over say a Srixon soft feel which are much better value. Having said that, I do use the Pro-V in competitions.
I think more golf balls need swing speed info as it’s got to help high handicap players using wrong and more expensive balls! I always liked Bridgestone balls always went well!
What do I look for in a golf ball…………………… it’s condition!!! Never paid a penny for a ball, I did buy a UV torch for £15 to hunt them down 3 or 4 times a year😉 Normally a few hundred per hunt.
“HOWS IT NOT GONE IN” 😂
I have changed completely to bridgestone. I use the tour BXS. It feels great with wedges, seems long off a driver. Thank you for reviewing the bridgestone. Most things are titleist orientated.
Same here I use many different types of balls but I love the Tour BXS the best. It’s expensive so I save them for important matches
So pleased you have reviewed a Bridgestone ball James and you couldn’t have asked for a better start to a ball review than that
Personally, I use the Bridgestone Tour B XS, its been one of the best balls I’ve used and probably keep it in the bag. Not sure of my swing speed.
I play the RXS, fits in with my driver speed under 100 - feels awesome on that ball for me as well.. worth trying for us slower swingers..
I have used these balls all summer and even with the discouraging scuff marks I have played 36+ holes and seen no issues or performance drop, off only cosmetic. by far best ball I've ever used.

I really like the Bridgestones but as you saw the scuff easily and I had to replace the after 9 holes versus my Pro V1s going several rounds.

Chris might need a lesson on fixing pitch marks on the green. Shocking.
🏖
I agree, push don’t pry👍
Did a lot more than our members do !!
PGA professional... I gasped when I saw that. Clearly didn't caddy as a kid.
Yup.
The Bridgestone tour BX is one of the balls I use. Its a lower spin lower flight firm ball that is nice around the greens. I'm currently comparing this ball to the Vice pro plus. Great review.
Love the Bridgestone Tour B XS ! Gained about 10 yards per drive and feel like I can actually control the ball around the greens.
I game the Callaway chrome soft because the feel around the green is incredible. I played with the Bridgestone tour b xs golf ball and it feels amazing as well. It may be slightly longer off the tee for me and I may change when my chrome softs run out.
Chris you made me cringe when I saw you lifting up on the ball mark repair.
I've played the Tour B330S since 2010ish, my SP would be 101-105. The B should be for Brembo they have some stopping power on approach and around the greens. Also found them to be good in the wind.
I have played Bridgestone the under 105 for several years and love them!
I'm currently using the bxs and absolutely love them, feel great on and around the greens and still getting great distance too
How much do I like Chris.
I’d take the swing speed recommendations with a grain of salt as my golf spy tested these balls and they came in number one for mid swing speeds
Question I’ve not seen answered -perhaps you can look into it: Does an older / scuffed ball perform any worse than a new ball?
my golf spy recently talked about this. Summary yes scuff and mud does affect flight. It curves away from the damage/mud due to "aerodynamic interferrence". So if you have to play a damaged ball, make sure its in line with target, unless you have a massive slice then put it on the right.

I'd like to see you guys try the

Bridgestone tour b xs, rx rxs and e12

Srixons z star and z star xv

Prov1 and prov1X and avx
Chrome soft X and chrome soft

Would like to see some ball testing and comparisons from single brands eg Srixon - AD333, Q Star & Z Star
As of late the qstar divid have been getting my dollars. Been digging the two colors, you can’t see your balls spin. It’s neat
I have found Bridgestone premium balls to have less side spin that Titleist and Titleist style balls such as Snell and Vice. I have played them for years since hte original Bridgestone Tour models were out 10 years a go or such. Great golf balls.

“That was delightful”
“Eh well when you’ve got it, you’ve got it”
🤣🤣🤣
@James Robinson Golf
Will you be trying the new Titleist RCT ball for trackman?
Sadly in the UK it is difficult to buy Bridgestone golf clubs. They are top quality and favoured in the far East. The best Driver I ever had was a J45.
That ball should not have scuffed after 2 hits..

I've played this Bridgestone Tour X and have always found it does not go as far as a Pro V1X or even the Vice Pro Plus. my driver swing speed is 120.
James mate...no way is it shorts weather......
I really enjoy Bridgestone golf balls, decent price too!
Was always something off with any golf ball I’ve played, until I switched to Bridgestone I play the RXS one
I have been playing the Seed golf ball and like the results, shipping to the States is the big part of the cost.
I play Vice pro. And they are really worth the money. €2,89 soft feeling around the greens.
Seed 01 or 02 great balls at 1/2 the price. Also the durability is excellent !
I have a 90 MPH swing speed, so I have to stay away from hard balls. I use a Pro V 1 or Pro V 1 x. Explosive chip in !!
I love the Titleist AVX. Perfect for me for whatever reason.
Great video boys, a pitch mark repairer wouldn't go a miss. I see pros on the tv using tees to repair pitch marks, surely they should be setting an example. 👍
For the last couple years I been playing the e12 under 105 brut they stopped making it. Combined the two. The contact
I love the tour b xs. But I must admit I got a box of vice pro plus and it may be my favorite ball I’ve ever played
Chris reckoned James’ favourite word was ‘versatile’; I rather think it’s ‘delightful’ 😎
Ive used bridgestone balls for the best part of the last year and the only ball ive used that comes close or me is vice pro or the tp5
Hi James
They are great balls used them for the last year!
Try rubbing two Bridgestone golf balls together and do the same with a pro v1 you won’t believe what happens
Ps please teach Chris how to repair pitch marks lifting the turn is a no no
The moment I saw the dimples I knew what they were. Tour B X is the best ball I've ever played....just bought another box:)
I use this ball and my driver speed is only 100mph. Flys half a club longer than the BXS in my case, which is also a good ball
This really needs a comparison to the Bridgestone Tour B XS (The Tiger Woods ball)!
I play the Bridgestone tour bxs ball James best ball I've ever used try them even more spin around the greens and my swing speed with driver is 114.8 mph on average was fitted at tour x golf
Favorite videos when you guys play!
I want to try the RXS since my driver speed is not as fast. Right now I play the Srixon Q star tour
Love this ball, played it since 2018 and no desire to change (play the tour b xs)
Srixon Z Star is my absolute go to!
More ball manufacturers really should put the recommended designed swing speed for that specific ball on the marketing and the box.
But they won't because they don't want to limit the people who'll buy them thinking it will make them spin it like a tour player.
90mph with driver. Whatcha recommend ball wise?
Well, I was sold until the scuffs. I am around 110 with driver, and had always wondered if their fitting was for driver or irons as well. I certainly don't swing an iron at 110.
Nobody that swings their driver at 110 swings their irons at 110 as well.
@@USEC3 I'm aware....
Over the years I have lots of Bridgestone balls and enjoyed losing them.....enjoying the banter!
I've used Bridgestones for a while. They are easily my favorite, and I always play better with them.
Love your content would love to play if your ever in australia!
Defo! When you guys re open!
👍🏽👍🏽
Some great courses in and around sydney and country NSW
Just picked up a sleeve of the e6, really enjoying them for my 90 mph speed. If you're over here in Oz, recommend Long Reef in Sydney, nice links course with great views, and Cypress Lakes up in wine country in the Hunter Valley about 2 hours north of Sydney. Would love to see a rewie of the new vice pro Zorro ball!
James, is it ball speed or club head speed? You started with driver club head speed but just before your 2nd shot you said ball speed!. Is it softer than titelist pro v1?
Would you test it against the tour b rx
I’ve used Bridgestone since the start of this year and decided your bxs over tour bx as it performed better for me and felt better than your b x
My driver speed is 105 mph. Haven't tried this Bridgestone ball. I play Pro V1 and Pro V1X.
Guess you decided to keep gaming the SIM2 after all== ya know what they say, "Let's do it. And let's do it now!" 💥👊😃
Up until now, I didn't know Chris had a channel, do you have a link (would have been good in the description?)
Great to see the boys back talking balls again 👍
Honma TW X.......Test
"I've had extreme control". Chris at his best.
Would love to see a review of the new (old Nike) RZN balls!
Try the forb 3 piece and 5 piece balls
Cheers
Where is the link for his channel
Is there a link to his channel somewhere?
Yep already a member of the Bridgestone family.
My swing speed is 80mph, I use Callaway Supersoft & Q star Tour...
The scuff may of been from your dirty wedge Robbo so maybe a test where you actually clean your grooves is in order 😂😂
Dirt doesn’t cause a scuff mate.
I use this ball the spin on the greens is amazing
What do I look for in a golf ball…………………… it’s condition!!! Never paid a penny for a ball, I did buy a UV torch for £15 to hunt them down 3 or 4 times a year😉 Normally a few hundred per hunt.
Have to be the best value for money ball on the market. A full £10 per dozen less than pro v1 and just as good
Interesting they are branding openly as “for faster swing speeds.” Isn’t that what “Tour” or “Pro” balls have always been engineered for?
Anyone have the link to Chris's channel?
great video as always :)
It would be really nice if you could link to the other video, or at least to the other channel.
Bridgestone balls are awesome
Snell mtb black or the x my perfect ball
Hah! Just found one today, so now I get to try it!
chris needs a lesson on how to repair a divot...
I play the cheapest urethane ball I can find (Kirkland) as I don’t feel so bad when I lose them, which is quite often.😳
Yes! Perfect ball for most ! Only performance issue is distance with longer clubs.
my enthusiasm is through the roof...😎
