HEY JOHN COOL T-SHIRT von dutch was that pinstriper guy right he worked with ed bigdaddy roth for a while i think? i have two passions guitars [ of course ] and the lowbrow art that was started by ed BD roth the whole souped up racer being driven by some crazy monster like RATFINK I LOVE THAT STUFF!
You have company , Seghorn did a 12 combo shoot out all cranked brutally loud and the Supro Black Magick won ! All his demos are cranked demos , I like that but as you know some get to muddy at 10 so he adjust the volume amp a little bit ! I can not find the Rebel 20 amp cranked up video for the National Anthem with single coils and 1/12" cabinet , I never heard power tube Overdrive with the harmonics like that in my whole life until I watched that video ! Power tube OD was so thick the lower harmonics sounded magical and you could hear the midrange vibes not the highs so much !
Absolutely great review! It shows fully potential of this amp when you plug into the right guitar, 'cause I think, the Black Magick was designed especially for the Telecaster, even I don't disqualified the Les Pauls or the Strats. Anyway, this is the solution for everyone who' s looking for the unique, vintage sound, without hundreds of pedals trying to create all of this in one "box" 😊
Here's a question a lot of your listeners I think would like to hear John, what's your favorite amp that you play through? Do you have a favorite manufacturer is there a favorite amp of yours? Personally I'm a Dr Z fan to the end! So out of the doctor's line which amp in particular is your favorite? I hope you can't find the time to answer these questions! Thanks again and keep up the good work man! Oh by the way I'm just not vibing off these supro amps. I don't know what it is about them but I'm really not digging the break up so much and the clean tones just aren't hitting me. It's just me though I know there's a lot of cats that really dig these amps and they've been around a long time!
Demo and amp is killing it! Supro is knocking em out with the new old sounds. I have a Supro ax that is sweet! Needed a set up but...these amps sound nice! I want the new blues king I think it’s called?
He used a super Beatle amp through Rickenbacker cabs for the first & second albums. But the Supro was used for solos & any overdubs that needed their own sonic space. Jimmy can’t tell you what amp was used for whole lotta love because it was just there in the studio & he couldn’t Quite get the tone he was after with what he had with him. It’s thought to be a Vox.
Amp sounds fucking wonderful. I am more a metal player but I love the explosive and expressive class A amps more than what is typical of metal players dig. Ues, you will add a distortion pedal in front. Who cares? Parallel wired class A makes for some very Loud, very efficient at its power consumption wattage rating. They often scare away shitty guitar players because of how transparent and detailed your playing becomes, but goddamn. In the right hands you can coax so much nuance and emotion from that early "open ended" circuitry design. My father gave me a Kalamazoo model 1 when I was 9 years old and with 10 inch speaker pushing 5 watts when cranked it fucking screams, lows stay fairly tight and overall sounds punchy as fuck. If your drummer can play tactfully and has good dynamic control that amp can hang just fine, but again, dynamic control not something metal players focus on much but a lot of guitar players don't know metal and the spirits that inspire what is truly fucking metal must possess you through ones heart and not ones head. Gain is less effective if you want to whip an audience into violence you can do it with an amp like this once you can play like Pai Mae would play if Kill Bill was Tarantino focusing on the Baddest ass blonde guitar God David Caridean shot twice, once in the cervix, with a meat pistol, twice with a regular pistol. I now must contemplate good sonic analogies for the five point palm exploding heart technique that she most likely needs an amp like this to prevail. Don't think so? Think 6505's and dual recs are untouchable when it comes to metal I humbly but confidently know I can cut just about anyone's titties off with karate like Supro and Orange produce on the rocker 30. You better ax somebody!
Best Demo ive seen on the Supro Black Magick yet...
And as always John , you play Outstanding.
Thank you for another great gear Demo ...
Dude, you always have so much fun playing. Such a joy to watch. Thanks for another great video \,,/
Played one about five times, and both channels dimed and the tone at 75% is pure bliss.
Awesome review, some killer tones with the Tele and Supro.
Great playing and review John!!
The amp turned up and the overdrive on made the Galaxy S7 speaker blow air out!!!!

That's a fantastic looking tele
Wow John! great hair dude!Superb guitar playing as always...
I've played all the new Supro amps at my local store and I have to say the Black Magick wins!

This tone is great, but it's even better in person! I can't wait to buy one.
Superb tone!

John, you are awesome as always!
5:43, can you play in little clubs at that level?
This compared to the 1600 Supreme?... I'm really digging the sound of the tubes on this BlackMagic.
Awesome playing John 👌
its always a treat wach your reviews!!

B bender on the tele? Sounds fantastic dude!!
Doesn't get any better when John is on fire
Probably to coolest amp overdrive I ever heard.
Always dig your reviews John!! What is the B string knob??
It’s a Parsons/White B bender, cool tool, even cooler story.
6:49 channel 1 is definitely best for Zeppelin tones.
It's an amazing sounding amp. I wish it was more flexible with more features.
Supro's don't and never have had lots of features.
pedal board
@@universalmanchild dont need
John got a haircut! Looks awesome dude
great Tele, great amp!!!
Hey John. I just wanted to let you know that my cat was absolutely in love with your playing. She usually leaves when I play. Hmph.
I like the Paul Gilbert inspired pink background.
6:08 was utterly priceless.
Love the look on his face after the feedback. Like a kid who snuck a fart in study hall.
Dude, I love your videos.
you have very awsome attitude and personality. You should be In movies.
PAGE TONE.
Your the Coolest John. Love watching you play...its a loud 25 watts though at leat my supro 1600 Supreme 25 watts is super loud.....but sounds so 👍
John you should really do Audiobooks your voice tho.
Fantastic sounding amp, unfortunately, a bit pricey, but isn't everything good pricey these days?
You should be playing “communication” not “dazed”
Did I hear cypress hill
So we know now that Page actually used a Vox Super Beetle. I bet Supro is pissed now after he finally said what was actually used on the first album.

But the real question that everyone wants to know; Does it go to up 11?
Awesome 👌
get a violin bow and an Echoplex
you rock mate
they don'y make it anymore
Yeah they do. I just bought one.
Everything but the name.
Congrats on the partial recovery of the hairdresser. Tell them to stay sober...it will get better soon.

BS
only good for clean tones and light crunch, not versatile at all
Terrible demonstration wouldn’t buy it
