43:45... How come woudns don't count for the Planing tactic card? The whole point of wounds filling your hand is that they cound towards your hand limit...
Just some advice about the green screen overlay: If you increase the distance between the glass and the underneath green surface you will have less green spill and therefore sharper edges. 3-5 cm should be enough.
Gaming Rules! Ah, I understand. If you would like to get crisp edges, you could put something that’s stable and 3-5 cm high in each corner of that green background and then a sheet of glass on top. The edges in Rahdos overlay are fyzzy because there is green color reflecting from the greenscreen to fingers and card. This would solve that. If you ever need to play with components that are any shade of green just replace the greenscreen with another color and change to that color in your editing software.
Braevalar’s getting a lot of play time recently. Ricky, yourself and I have all taken them for a spin 🥰 glad to see since they’re usually somewhat shunned.
Could you explain the magic familiars and how the mana payment works. You place 1 mana on the card when you bye it. But next round. Do you loose the one you placed or do you switch it. It says exchange on the card. And could you use tokens or just crystals.
I notice you are playing with a setup for 2 players (2+2 mana dice and 2+2 unit cards on offer). Elsewhere on the internet I’m reading that a dummy player does not count as a player, so solo setup would be 3 mana dice and 3 units. Was your setup unique to the scenario, or just some of that rust you mentioned?
I am new to MK and as a solo player does the core version just offer the one solo conquest? Does every solo player keep on replaying the same mission? Thx
There are different ‘scenarios’ to choose from, as in different setups with different victory conditions. However, I’ve only been playing solo conquest so far and I’m enjoying the hell out of it.
Early on looked like you thought you were playing Euthia with the multi move/actions. I bought the Ultimate when it cam out not actually realising that the Frontiers I had received for my bday the previous year was actually the ‘same’ game. I enjoy both BUT the Frontiers just doesn’t seem correct especially playing Federation. Will look forward to your response to the Frontiers ? on Wednesday
I dont understand what the dummy deck is for other than acting as a timer. Is it just a timer? Is there a way to actually win or lose the game playing solo? Why cant you dedicate the dummy player to hunting you? place a mini for them on the board and use the 3 cards drawn to move towards and battle your Mage Knight. ??? I dont own the game and would like to buy it so Ive been watching playthrough videos. Your video is very informative, thank you. Or does solo play always result in a win with you looking up how well you won??? I havent seen any solo gameplay were the player lost the game.
Technically, you "win" if you manage to defeat all the cities in time, but either way you add up your points. You just get more of them if you defeat the cities. You are right that the dummy player is mainly a timer. Without it, you could play very optimally and wait for the perfect moment.
There is just no way of knowing the depth of this game in a promo playthrough. It’s not suited to this play style. Have a look at Rick Royals play who knows how to play this game.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. What is a "promo playthrough". And what do you mean by "It's not suited to this play style"? What isn't? The game? I did apologise for being a little rusty on the game and I already referenced that this was not a tutorial video and pointed people at Ricky's how to play series at the start.
Mage Knight is literally the best solo game
Very enjoyable watch Paul!
Great game. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great video! Very cool to see the scenario.

Thanks. This was my first time using this method.
When you say "glass". There was no glass. Just a sheet of green card.

you mean He is shunned.
@@yavivanov6650 yes, they in the singular pronoun - as in Braevalar.

Where can I find this scenario?
Blood Ritual really is a terrific card.

It was based on the scenario. Thanks for watching

How do I download this mod on Steam? Enjoyed your game!
It's been a while, but I think the mod is still up there.
Hm, how many different Solo scenarios are there in Ultimate Edition ?
Unfortunately, not many of the scenarios printed have official solo modes, but they can all be played solo with some tweaks.

Yeah, I think my rustyness showed early on but it all came back to me in the end. I hope I answered the question on Frontiers well enough :)
