Thank you for doing another Mage Knight video. As always I love the attention that are put into the details making it easier to follow along. Here are the things I saw which can hopefully improve the video. 1. It was not clarified in the video, but the differences between Graveyard/Necropolis and Glade/Hidden Valley is that: A.) It is night time during combat just like dungeons/tombs. B.) You do not remove a wound at the end of your turn or get gold mana during the day after you clear out the enemies. You only get a black mana if it is night. C.) Conquering a graveyard gives you a spell instead of an artifact. 2. At 34:21, we used the -1 armor/-1 attack effect of Howl of the Pack. For Co-op skills in solo the second effect can only be used on the turn after the first effect is used. 3. We get 1 influence for the 1 shield token at the neutral city. 4. At 1:26:38, we paid 2 influence to activate the Heroes even though we do not have to. An assault is only when we need to pay movement to move into a location to attack. 5. At 1:33:48, we do get fire attack 4 against arcane immunity. Arcane immunity works on non-attack/block effects such as 'Destroy target', 'Target does not attack', 'Reduce target armor', and 'Target loses resistance/fortification'. This is another excellent video. I can't express how much I appreciate Mage Knight content as it is my favorite game.
Thank you SO MUCH for all of this!! 1. Take a look at page 21 of the Ultimate Edition rulebook, it states "The Hidden Valley Location acts like a Magical Glade. The Move cost of the Hidden Valley is 2." So unless there is something else telling me it is not a normal Glade that is why I assumed it was one? 2. Holy Moly I did not know that at all! Thanks for that! 3. Did I do that wrong? 4. Oh doi!! 5. Thanks for confirming this one!! I will make notes!
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks for responding! 1. You are correct in how Hidden Valley and the glade works. #1 is to let the viewers know the differences between graveyards/necropolis vs glades/hidden valley. The video didn't have any graveyards and the necropolis was conquered on the last turn so the differences were never showcased. 3. I don't think the 1 influence from the city was applied. I could be wrong though because the amount of influence on that turn was a complete overkill anyways.
"If you're still watching". My dude, we're not leaving. Seriously the most entertaining playthroughs on RUclips, and two mage knight ones back to back? Thank you for doing this, from the bottom of my heart. For playthroughs on these solo games you and Ricky are the gold standard, and I can't thank you two enough for keeping at it.

Seriously, thank you for this playthrough. If there was a book of records for Mage Knight, you'd be in it for sure, right beside King Ricky :)
Colin, your Mage Knight (and LOTR) playthroughs are the best. Whenever I *want* to play a game, but lack the energy or brainpower, these playthroughs are the perfect alternative! I would love to see even more Mage Knight, as I understand that there are lots of different scenario types in some of the expansions (I only have Lost Legion).
Holy Moly this was great! This was the first MK video I've watched and without reading any material or rules I was able to follow along and absolutely enjoy the video. Your clear and enjoyable VO work let your personality and the game shine thru while keeping the video engaging and the material presentation a blast. I think I might have to find this edition and snag it.

You're becoming the Mage Knight King Colin, #1 source for learning the game on RUclips, dare I say overtaking Ricky Royal?! And the wide shot at the end with the terrain minis is amazing, I need to get me some of those!
Hahahahaaha no way Ricky is the king!! But I'll be the prince how about that haha!! Thanks for watching and yes I love love love that terrain it makes the game come alive on the table!

Wow....awesome playthrough of Mage Knight and a scenario that I hadn't seen played before. This was great to watch and I like the way you made the video with close up shots and talking through your strategy and narrated the whole playthrough. Definitely looking forward to watching your other MK videos and seeing if you can possibly continue your streak of rolling gold mana dice during the day.
Great video again! Your last Mage Knight video inspired me to get the game and I was able to jump right into the first scenario with minimal rules checking since your video explain everything so clearly. I still suck at the game, but once I get a bit better I definitely want to try out this scenario. I noticed you're not afraid of getting wounds whereas I avoided fights if I couldn't block everything 100% which made me underpowered by the end of the game.
That's awesome!! Don't be afraid of wounds you can get rid of them in so many ways! And if you aren't leveling enough the cities will be too hard! Good luck my friend!
I had trouble understanding how the Tezlak expansion worked and how difficult it looked, but, as always, your playthroughs show how simple the actual gameplay is. It’s also reassuring to see you kicking ass as a reminder that I can also be badass in MK. Btw, I won a full cooperative game last night with my partner. I played, Norowas, had like five units, and I ended up killing ten city enemies myself. It’s the most powerful I’ve felt in this game so far :)
Awesome video as always, you are my favorite board game content creator. Love your 3D minis as well. You painted them so well! At 15:08 you were talking about getting knocked out, and you mistakenly said you get knocked out when your wounds equal your handsize. That's only true for wounds that you gain from combat. Previous wounds in your hand do not count towards this knockout value. This video inspired me to try out this scenario last night and I barely won (score 120). I used Altem Mages to make all my attacks sieged and killed first avatar. Then I used Soul Harvester + sword of justice for 18 damage to help in the final battle. Artifacts are strong.
@@OneStopCoopShop Yea as I watched the video and I kept seeing you go for artifacts and I kept saying to myself "no way" but you did it. It was amazing, my favorite MK video playthough you did yet.

@@OneStopCoopShop I would rather spend the money on another game or 2
Walks into healing glade
Enemy: we see you!
Player: not till next turn to dont!
Hahaha! I know kind of weird. Like the shrines and dungeons and temples!
@@OneStopCoopShop it's like John Cena: You no see me!
Hahahah!!!!
@@freakyzed8467 lol
Awesome, love it!
Glad you like it!
Where are these tiles from? The ground tiles i mean the mountain the real Tower and so on? Did you 3d printing? Or is it some sort of Upgrade Kit?
Please Tell me thanks :*
Check the description the info is there!
I'm pretty sure you can only use explosive bolt during combat. It doesn't have the ''special card'' symbol
Thanks!
At 54:13 you could have just played Diplomacy on its own t gain block 2, right?
Yup if I had read the card HAHA!
35:07 Was that correct? the scull means double damage, so seems like that was not successful block.. do I miss anything ?
Double damage IF NOT blocked. Swiftness is what you are thinking of!
@@OneStopCoopShop ah, missing bits all the time, thanks
It's so easy to do that!!
Time to bust this out again!
Get that thing to the table!!! I know I will soon likely in February after my rush for work is done!
I finally gave in and ordered UE!
Yessssssss!! Solid choice!
Great job, love the game when i can find the time. lol
That is the hard part!
Great video!!
Thanks for watching!!
When it says in the solo section: non city core tiles: 2(DC and Elementalist leader tiles) does that mean that there are 2 map core non city tiles AND the faction dials or only the 2 faction dials
It is poorly worded! You get 2 non city core tiles plus the faction leader tokens!
@@OneStopCoopShop I tried a fanmade scenario called war of four, combines volkare with life and death
Ok I gotta look that up! Do you have a link?
@@OneStopCoopShop I’m pretty sure RUclips deleted my comment because it has a link (I can’t see it). Just search up mage knight war of four and it’s the first thing that comes up.
@@amansparekh Perfect will do! Yeah sometimes RUclips deletes comments with links sorry about that!
At 1:26:09 the Guardian Golems are physical resistent, didn't you have to reduce 3 damage first and then only spend 7 block?
You can use them to take a hit then activate them. You have to choose one or the other. If I let him take the hit he would get wounded. Activating him for his block two was better!
@@OneStopCoopShop Yeah you're right! Awesome video! I order UE for the extension even if I have the basic game. I will start this campaign today. My no 1 game by far!
That is awesome!! Enjoy it!!
This is my weekend viewing sorted, thank you Colin! I need to break this out again... My collection is changing to big board games (Mageknight, Gloomhaven, Gaia Project etc) and smaller games only (7 Wonders Duel, After the Virus, The Bloody Inn etc), no room for the middle of the road games! Hoping to add Cloudspire and Hoplo Victorum next year when they deliver. Have you tried Cloudspire or is that a Mike only game >_<
All the best
Yes you do! This is one that every time I pull it out, I wonder why I need other games hahaha! It is so much fun and hits me in the adventure and puzzle spot, not to mention you feel so clever when you make moves in this game! As for Cloudspire I have yet to play it, that is a Mike game. Enjoy my friend and as always thanks for watching!!
Cloudspire is one of the shining jewels in my collection. Spendy but I have easily gotten my money's worth. You won't be disappointed, especially if you like the higher quality production games that hold a special spot for me.
Nice!!
@@freakyzed8467 thanks, I was having an internal debate between Cloudspire and TMB, I think CP is ahead!
@@jackrutter9797 different playstyles but both are SUPER shiny. Too Many Bones tells the better internal story and is more character driven but Cloudspire is the better casual beer and pretzels game imo. Both are wonderful!
Please somebody tell me. Do the enemies in a magical Glade have opportunity attack?
I'm not sure what that even is. So I'd say no!
@@OneStopCoopShop I mean Provoke, hehehehee
Ahhhh! Yup confirm did not provoke!
@@OneStopCoopShop sorry I am new to this expansion. If you use a ice/fire shard to add ice/fire element to attack/block to an existing elemental attack... Does It becones cold fire?
That is a good question and I don't actually know that one!!
Where did you get that terrain? Looks nice.
Nevermind, see that you put it in the description. Thanks.
No problem I love it!!
Woohoo 🥳!!!!
Whoot!!
More please.
I just posted one a week or so ago!
Wait, istn't this the Mage Knight hating podcast? Why I never! :P Joking Aside when will we have a family feud 2v2 Podcast episode on MK? :)
Wait what?? Who hates mage knight on one stop?? Cause we know they are wrong ha!! You just tell me and I'll talk with them!!
@@OneStopCoopShop Well Steve had it as only 39 and Petere as only 54 on their coop game's list. Other's must really hate it . :P (Yes, I know it's because you all believe falsely that it's better solo than coop, I'm just joking :D ;) :P )
Hahaha!! That's right! I think it might be amazing coop if I had that time to play with people!
@@OneStopCoopShop I personally lack people, not time. :( But seriously, it's weird that the podcast doesn't have an episode on a game that was number one game for solo for many years and is now number 2. I understand the reason, but still...
I think I did a comparison pod between this and frontiers.....
How come the dragons are not fighting you even though you are adjacent to them?
They only fight you if you move from an adjacent space to another adjacent space. That's how rampaging enemies work!
@@OneStopCoopShop Omg thank you for your swift reply. I have started playing this game and I wanted to learn how to play so I have been binging your videos. No wonder I find the game very hard dealing with dragons at the same time with city enemies. Thank you.
1:30:18 not playing the banner?
Apparently not!
@@OneStopCoopShop You destroyed it to great effect later! My bad. Great play through!
Thanks so much for watching!
Im wrong or You ignore ice/fire/phisics armor of fraction leaders?
I'm not sure what you are asking?
@@OneStopCoopShop For example at 1:06:31 You attack with Catapults - 5 siege ice atack, and enemy have Ice defense what means your ice atack should be half-hearted.
oh. or im wrong, he have always the same armor at each level? i mean the whole fight he have armor 4 and fire resist? (Level 6).
I played different way :D Each time i consider next level armor.
@@Owczymon Ahh yeah in one attack you use the SAME stats. If I had not defeated him in one attack the next time I faced him his stats would have been different. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the Video. At ruclips.net/video/QlvenoERKCM/видео.html, I don't think the heroes needed to be activated by influence. This is just needed when entering fortified sites or to attack other players.
You've got it thanks for that! I have placed a subtitle so future viewers will know thanks!
You still play this game?
All the time!!
My friend that is awesome. I have so many games and this is the only one I keep going back too.
It's so good isn't it??!!
