      @verbalkint4052 2 месяца назад +10

      They had to “alert” him to take his DNA via subpoena. They got his first sample via a discarded item. Once that matched they were then able to request the subpoena for a “better sample” to make absolutely sure. To obtain it, they can’t exactly knock him out and just take it. So he’s gonna be aware of what’s going on, especially since he can’t decline. And they can’t “detain him” for the length of time it takes (days or weeks) to test the new sample. That’d be against anybody’s rights.

    • @verbalkint4052
      @verbalkint4052 2 месяца назад

      @@bensantellano Did you not watch or listen the news report? They did follow him and obtain a discarded DNA sample. But those can often not be as complete resulting in a partial DNA match (less markers). So once they confirmed a partial match with the discarded (possibly tainted DNA) they had to get a subpoena to force the suspect to submit an untainted and more complete DNA sample - which in this case was a cheek swab taken by law enforcement. They can’t hold the suspect in custody indefinitely waiting for the new results to come back.

    • @verbalkint4052
      @verbalkint4052 2 месяца назад +4

      @@GNMi79 They had to alert him when they handed him a subpoena forcing him to submit a new DNA sample. They can’t just use and rely upon the initial DNA because it was captured from a discarded item that could have been contaminated in some way (it was likely pulled from a trash receptacle) and/or it might not have produced a complete DNA profile with all possible markers.
      While the first sample was a match (likely a partial match) they need to confirm using a more complete DNA sample that couldn’t have been contaminated in any way. Without the “official” DNA sample later captured by authorities- the suspect would likely walk as any defense attorney worth their weight would get the first result tossed out due to the likelihood of contamination.

      Technology and the law. The US Armed Forces MIA office also does DNA and dental testing. It's worse for the US military because it sometimes takes decades, and they have to be 99.99% sure to ID a body. This requires getting permission from potential family members and they take longer due to privacy reasons. In law, you have to get court documents to prove and dis-prove a legal argument. Getting a DNA test to a judge is like looking for a virgin at the Playboy mansion. They take weeks to months for them to even look at it based on the many cases they have scheduled for the entire year. Plus the AG's the past 30 years said no.

    Being a child sexual abuse survivor victim and holding my secret for 40years I have been thru the gamut of the ramifications for many decades. Now I’m 51yo and I have decided to sue and have a Supreme Court case now. These were are if still alive idk married men some with kids and I so wanna name and shame them all! They were my high school teachers. But I have patience and karma never forgets! I forgive them as I don’t want this to deteriorate myself even further BUT I will never ever forget! It started when I was about 10yo what makes it worse is before that a family member a female my grandma had molested myself when I was a toddler. She even did it to my cousin and was caught by her daughter in law my auntie. She has passed in 90 but the damage is lifelong. It was my dads mum and it has created a grift of some sort coz he thinks I blame him as it was his mum. My grandma. I don’t blame him at all. I love my Dad. But he’s very traditional and my mums more modern. He just doesn’t get it. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ what else to do. There’s a lot of distance. My point here is those teachers just like this rapist killer in this video don’t deserve anonymity. Anyways ❤from Australia. Adults need to leave kids alone! End of! I’m 51yo and I’m living proof of what happens afterwards it’s untreated childhood trauma. It’s lead to suicide attempts suicidal ideation drug addictions particularly meth abuse for over 25yrs to cope. I still battle it. It’s my go to esp on hard days. Don’t judge unless this has happened to you You don’t know wtf another person has been thru. I almost ended in a mental ward via my psychiatrist anti depressants anti psychotics. Made me worse I was seeing myself hanging. But I can’t do that to my family especially my mum. ❤to y’all

    Those 3 guys that got wrongfully convicted need to get paid $$$ the one who's dead his family should get paid and they need a huge public apology. The cops and prosecutor that put the 3 men in jail should be out of a job and all their other cases need to be looked at. The guy who killed himself that did this to Dana he did the public a favor but they need to release his name. Terrible situation.

      “ justice was served?” An innocent man died behind bars ~ in a place where all the dumb criminals think they are cleaning up the justice system? Imagine all the attacks he received from fellow inmates trying to prove themselves because the system lets them act out on such individuals? If the system jumps the gun so do the prisoners.
