      At 14:53 did you mean "Black Americans" instead of "Black Africans"?

    • @The1987Kid
      @The1987Kid Месяц назад

      I have to address something you said, please do not refer to black Americans as “black africans” we are not african, we have been in this country for half a millennia, we cease to be african centuries ago, not all of us came in the 1800s as slaves or as immigrants, my roots go back to the colonial period, and you also make it an emphasis on black American’s white ancestry due to if being from rape, but I don’t hear the same thing about hispanics who are an admixture group who had slavery on in their countries, black Americans as an admixture group are no different from puerto ricans or dominicans, you use a liberal UN immigrant perspective of black Americans, the term “african-American” relatively speaking new, we did not as a group vote in on that designation of who we are, maybe you should talk to black Americans and not 1st or 2nd generation Americans or Canadians from the caribbean or africa who have no roots here.

      @@OculusUniversaleyou caught that to? Black Americans are not african, this guy likes ti push this africanization of multigenerational black Americans, they also like to say our white ancestry was solely by rape with no nuanced perspectives, not all of us come from slaves, I’m descended from free negroes who were called mulattos in Virginia, Alabama and Georgia, he’s a canadian trying to articulate black American history

He’s not Japanese, he’s not a scientist, he didn’t manufacture ivermectin, he had basically nothing to do with the miracle of ivermectin. @@Nooticus Right? Thanks! BTW, I don't use Matt's last name or go by Mrs., but it's fun that you remember who I am. Another BTW: I write and talk about child abuse issues a lot more than Matt does. My blog addresses the topic often, and I've *just* started a TikTok channel that does and will do the same. I should be releasing a new video about it tomorrow. I'll put it here on RUclips too - if I can figure out how!

      @@Nooticus No worries. I actually thought, "Who's Mrs. Baker?" All my life, I've known I would never be a Mrs and never take anyone else's name. Since doing my genealogy and learning that my Jewish family is the only one in the world to have that name, it seems more important, especially knowing that at leat 75+ in my Yasven family were murdered in the Holocaust.
      I have already often written about child abuse in my blog, Sublime Mercies. I don't write much these days, but the blog has done and is still doing very well. I'm trying videos. We'll see how it goes.

    I hear a lot of people talk about how much they hate the industrial revolution, but at the very least I wish people would understand how the advancements in farming technology led to the release of many slaves around the world. I cannot prove it would not have happened with less technology, but the reality we live in shows that the better technologies used in farming, the less intensive, repetitive manual labor is needed. Under-developed regions of the world still use large amounts of man power to work farms, that in America would be farmed more efficiently with modern machinery. Slave or slave-like practices (indentured servitude, debt slavery, extortion etc.) are still used today to extract labor from people.
