- Deadpool and Spider-Man go on a double date together. Deadpool sets Spidey up with a succubus (literally) Jenny; Deadpool tricks Lady Thor into coming. Thor forces the two of them to dance shirtless to punish Deadpool’s trickery; Deadpool & Spidey bond in that moment. But nevertheless, Deadpool kills Spidey’s “boss” Peter Parker. When he realizes Peter didn’t make it to hell and didn’t deserve to die, he kills himself to take Peter from Limbo back into the world of the living.

I kind of felt bad for the wife’s cousin. That would have made for an interesting romance plot in Spider-Man comics if he started rubbing off on her. I could see an emotional death as she sacrifices herself to save him, and unwanted by hell she is relegated to Limbo, which brings further storylines. Anyway, this was a fun comic.
Idk if he started rubbing off on her, she might catch cancer like MJ in that Old Man Parker run.

it's been established that the spidey sense doesn't work on people Peter trusts, and he had a pretty high opinion of Deadpool at the time.
For that matter, he SAW the gun, and he has superhuman reflexes.
Ordinary people have ducked away from guns successfully -- it should be automatic for Spidey, who's had more guns pointed at him than he's had haircuts.

Basically when Jane becomes Lady Thor, she turns into an Asgardian, and therefore isn't actually speaking English, she's speaking Asgardian and it's being translated by the Allspeak. It was a running joke in her first appearance, where she'd try to say something normal and it would come out all archaic and would confuse the heck out of her.

Like, the second Donald Blake left the Avengers and Thor transformed into a full time Asgardian, there could only be one Thor, and others empowered by aspects of Thor but with different names, like Beta Ray Bill and several others.
Hammer or not, none of that mattered. Thor is Thor. But then there was this one comic that was peak stupidity where Thor says he's no longer Thor, just 'the Odinson' and that Jane was Thor. Wow what a braindead writer.

Huh? This worked out pretty well. It wouldn't be a story without problems. The issue with current ASM stuff is that it's especially cruel, weirdly contrived, and continually worsening instead of setting up problems for the hero to *solve*.

I believe one of the chapters during this same run of the spider-man/Deadpool comics actually addressed why he doesn't. IIRC Deadpool coaxed Spider-Man into taking off his mask but when Peter did he didn't have a face from Deadpool's prospective. I believe Deadpool then made a fourth wall breaking comment about how the writers themselves are preventing him from knowing Spider-Man's identity as it wasn't the time.
