Yes yes yes, they should definetly add food likes and dislikes like what we had in TS3 and maybe add a funcionality to the Foodie trait that makes your sim more sensitive to your food preferences, meaning if you eat food you like you get big buffs and bonuses and if you eat food you can't or don't want to eat, you will get nauseous and throw up.
Lactose Intolerance is not a 'like/dislike,' its an inability of your body to process milk (simplified). And a crap load of traits could easily be switched to likes and dislikes. It would be nice if they expanded how many traits the sims could have. 3 was fine, now its not.
@@daveward1329 finally someone who has commented who understands lactose intolerance. We might not always adhere to our bodies inability to process dairy products (and it ALWAYS comes back to bite us lol) but it's for sure not vegetarians who just choose that lifestyle.

A while back I participated in a survey over zoom where I got the impression they are trying to take more feedback from the community so I’ve been hopeful of things improving and imo this new pack and update really seem like a huge step forward in terms of providing content and gameplay and just useful quality of life tweaks
It sucks that they won't be able to swim in the ponds. I was looking forward to that, especially with my mermaid Sims. Ice-skating would have been really cool too. Still, the idea is really cool and I look forward to it.

I hope that they can update these features. Maybe they can add limitations such as swimming or ice skating won't be possible if the pond/lake is smaller than 3x3 tiles or something like that. But i hope the swimming can be more flexible since Sims swim in 1x1 pools anyway.

And the mages in Realm of Magic. I've been adding them to my group and then commanding them to "go here together". I still might do that, but it'll be so helpful to have a lock on feature!
I wish they would put at least family member’s (those who are in your family tree) birthdays on the calendar. When I’m in one household, I’d like to be able to see their families in other households, friends or even just all played households so we know when they’ll age up without leaving the current one being played
I know that you can change the settings so that only the house you are currently playing will age. The ages of the households won’t go through the age cycle unless you are playing with that household.
One thing I want is the limitation of clothing after you're done creating your sims in CAS, like in the sims 2, so you can shop for new clothes and that'll feel so relieving.. we don't really need every clothes to be unlocked don't we? We got just a few clothes which are locked, and I feel that's very unrealistic.. of course you can then cheat to unlock everything in CAS as well

They have added some baby hairs to the new hairs they’ve released, they’re just not able to be added separately. So they’re at least trying, but Idk if it would be hard to do with all the different hairs in game
I would love if they added disabilities like being blind or deaf, I think that could add really good interactions plus my computer doesn’t accept mods well (i add them and they just don’t appear) so I would love the addition.
Also make sure your script mods are directly in your mods folder. They can’t be in another folder within the mods folder, they have to be placed directly into the mods folder
I love how we can now see whose birthday is coming up in the calendar! Well, we'll be able to soon enough. Before(still currently now) you had to hover over the day to see who has a birthday coming.
I would love nail polishes 🙁and maybe a better pose set up for cas so when you want to upload to the gallery it give you a better close up of the sim ;)
im happy for the people who cant afford dlc are getting dlc for free, but as someone who spent money to get these features, it feels kinda annoying :/ these features shouldve been in the base game. i hope they'll update these packs with new features/features to replace the ones that are being made free, like the vegetarian trait

Yeah, the calendar and event planning are a pretty big selling point for Seasons. Feels like a slap in the face to give it away now, after they got our money. Or if you buy Seasons now, you're not getting the same value.
It's great for those who don't have those packs, but yeah, a bit annoying... I think it is good that they're adding more stuff to base game CAS, just wish it was more new, unseen stuff instead.
Let's hope that in the future, the Sims creators allow them to get their drivers licenses in base game and we can actually see them driving and the Sims can go on late night drives or road trips

And if they do start giving new hairs they need to update the regular base game hairs also they are bad like that curly one for example and the pigtails like make them a little longer! And add eyelashes already! We seriously need them how it comes to a point where most of the eye presets don't have lashes like give us the ability to add eyelashes ourselves and bodyhair!

Tbh I know it’s frustrating to people the fact that it’s taken so long for some of these packs and features to come to the game after so long, but can we please just appreciate the fact it’s happening? Like we are getting it now. We can enjoy the features and I’m sure their is lots of other exciting things to look forward too now their stepping it up.
I have really mixed feelings about them adding DLC stuff as free basegame updates. It's like, nice to have them, but others paid for the features we get for free. If maybe they were base game features from the start, I'd be happier with it.

I get those might just be minor features but people still payed for the packs wich they were included in. Honestly I think all the expansion packs are so expensive which is what makes this a problem. Personally I can't afford to buy expansion packs so I enjoy them adding these things, but I understand. Maybe if all expansion packs were much much cheaper everyone would be happy! So expensive for no reason in my opinion lol
Growing up in the south, cooking as a family was always one of my favorite things so I'm glad they're including that in the game. Some of my best memories are preparing holidays meals in the kitchen with my mom, my grandmother, and my sisters.
This is so frustrating. They are stripping the expansion packs people paid for of their content and putting it in the basegame. Why can't they make new content? The features we got from City Living are all coming to basegame!!! The pants? Basegame. The trait? Basegame. Next the singing skill will be added?
To be fair... very few can really buy ALL of the expansion packs, at least I can't. They are extremely expensive even on sale (in my opinion). Everyone knows the base game doesn't give much excitement to a regular player that knows what they are missing out on when it comes to expansion packs. I love the fact they are giving base game more content! I understand your anger about taking things from expansion packs, but really, all of these packs should either be free (pretty much base game) or so so so much cheaper. They really are money trolling, and always have been!

I like the lock camera thingy, just wish that all walls stayed up when locking on a sim outside...it breaks the immersion when the walls are not up and you can't lock on the sim at the same time.
same, like it's good that people without the expensions can now enjoy those features but it also sucks if you've payed for it since the expensions aren't cheap. Oh those water effects... So wonderful! And I made a pond once. It was a good pond. It's just that I had to make it with pool tools and as a direct result it looked completely wrong as a pond.

@@greeneyesgirl467 I'm glad that the features added from expensions are pretty small but it still belonged to a pack that people actually spent their money on so seeing it being added to a base game for free does make you at least a little bit frustrated since the packs aren't cheap. Like they could've atleast made a whole new trade or design for the bed instead of stealing something from an already existing pack just because it might be a little bit easier.
OMG yes finally someone whose said this! i play on ps4 and im stuck on the easy slopes with a sim thats maxed out in snowboarding. the tricks just get boring after a while

I love this update, the only thing I'm really 'angry' about is that people with the base game also get the calendar. Fun and all for them but people with Season paid for that feature I while back, ofcourse they're not going to have everything we can do with seasons but it feels unfair imo.
If they included full weather in the base game I’d be upset but I’m personally not pressed about them getting a calendar we got 3 or 4 years ago. It probably would have been better if they’d just made it a base game update from the jump tho because this type of thing does get people upset

It’s just the calendar though, none of the other features. Someone with base game only will see their birthday on there, nothing else. The main parts of the seasons pack are the festivals, weather, and build/buy items - no one is getting that for free. It’s just an organisational tool. I do agree about the trait though 👀 it should’ve been base game at the start, but since it was already in a pack they shouldn’t give it for free now. Instead of adding vegetarian and lactose intolerant, they should’ve just added one new “vegan” trait and some new recipes without eggs and milk

I think vegetarian and lactose intolerant should be likes and dislikes and they shoud've added other types of allergies and diets like vegan and gluten allergy. All in a food or diet category in likes and dislikes.

Idk why but I got the idea of, when someone from your family members had passed away, it will appear in the calendar too like "in memoriam of ...."

And if they do start giving new hairs they need to update the regular base game hairs also they are bad like that curly one for example and the pigtails like make them a little longer! And add eyelashes already! We seriously need them how it comes to a point where most of the eye presets don't have lashes like give us the ability to add eyelashes ourselves and bodyhair!
Well, eyelashes would be great, but you can download some cc, there are alpha and maxis match eyelashes so you can choose

Tbh I know it’s frustrating to people the fact that it’s taken so long for some of these packs and features to come to the game after so long, but can we please just appreciate the fact it’s happening? Like we are getting it now. We can enjoy the features and I’m sure their is lots of other exciting things to look forward too now their stepping it up.
I have really mixed feelings about them adding DLC stuff as free basegame updates. It's like, nice to have them, but others paid for the features we get for free.
If maybe they were base game features from the start, I'd be happier with it.

I get those might just be minor features but people still payed for the packs wich they were included in. So it's pretty frustrating to see that something you've payed for is coming to the game for free. Like they could've atleast make new designs or make a new basegame trait instead of just grabbing one from expensions

Honestly I think all the expansion packs are so expensive which is what makes this a problem. Personally I can't afford to buy expansion packs so I enjoy them adding these things, but I understand. Maybe if all expansion packs were much much cheaper everyone would be happy! So expensive for no reason in my opinion lol
Growing up in the south, cooking as a family was always one of my favorite things so I'm glad they're including that in the game. Some of my best memories are preparing holidays meals in the kitchen with my mom, my grandmother, and my sisters.
This is so frustrating. They are stripping the expansion packs people paid for of their content and putting it in the basegame. Why can't they make new content? The features we got from City Living are all coming to basegame!!! The pants? Basegame. The trait? Basegame. Next the singing skill will be added?
To be fair... very few can really buy ALL of the expansion packs, at least I can't. They are extremely expensive even on sale (in my opinion). Everyone knows the base game doesn't give much excitement to a regular player that knows what they are missing out on when it comes to expansion packs. I love the fact they are giving base game more content! I understand your anger about taking things from expansion packs, but really, all of these packs should either be free (pretty much base game) or so so so much cheaper. They really are money trolling, and always have been!

They have the budget and we know it, but everything just goes into more DLC while the older ones that less people buy are getting smaller and smaller

I like the lock camera thingy, just wish that all walls stayed up when locking on a sim outside...it breaks the immersion when the walls are not up and you can't lock on the sim at the same time.

Oh those water effects... So wonderful! And I made a pond once. It was a good pond. It's just that I had to make it with pool tools and as a direct result it looked completely wrong as a pond.

i think that trait is such a necessity though, it should have been in the base game in the first place. i’m glad that it’s in the base game now since it’s not really a special feature to the pack. can’t believe they charged people to get a trait as simple as vegetarianism.

The focus the camera tool is so useful!!! I was literally complaining about this while playing 2 days ago, especially when you invite a Sim on your big lot sometimes you can’t find them
All I can say the sims 4 has a long way to go but if they continue this then I think there heading in the right detection

@@greeneyesgirl467 I'm glad that the features added from expensions are pretty small but it still belonged to a pack that people actually spent their money on so seeing it being added to a base game for free does make you at least a little bit frustrated since the packs aren't cheap. Like they could've atleast made a whole new trade or design for the bed instead of stealing something from an already existing pack just because it might be a little bit easier.

OMG yes finally someone whose said this! i play on ps4 and im stuck on the easy slopes with a sim thats maxed out in snowboarding. the tricks just get boring after a while

I love this update, the only thing I'm really 'angry' about is that people with the base game also get the calendar. Fun and all for them but people with Season paid for that feature I while back, ofcourse they're not going to have everything we can do with seasons but it feels unfair imo.

It’s just the calendar though, none of the other features. Someone with base game only will see their birthday on there, nothing else. The main parts of the seasons pack are the festivals, weather, and build/buy items - no one is getting that for free. It’s just an organisational tool.
I do agree about the trait though 👀 it should’ve been base game at the start, but since it was already in a pack they shouldn’t give it for free now. Instead of adding vegetarian and lactose intolerant, they should’ve just added one new “vegan” trait and some new recipes without eggs and milk
