They might be! The version of the game that Kayla has only has base game and Cottage Living, so they probably have some lot challenges from Jungle Adventure and City Living too. (And whatever other packs came with negative lot traits)
I really hope they do! Not being able to remove the mouse holes, pipes, fuse box or the dead body outline on the floor in the apartments is one of the things that irritates me most. I don’t want to play with it sometimes. I know there’s cheats/mods for it but I’d rather it just be optional like all the other lot traits

you can get bit by giant hornets in mt komorebi, which gives you a moodlet so it's possible they will add a "bit by mosquitos" moodlet and you can buy like alleviating cream or whatever
@@janelle_beans I have a bumblebee one from Bakie on MTS. I've never found a butterfly one though. You can use the butterflies caught in Granite Falls. Size down the container and the insects still show. They don't fly about though. :(

I LOVE that they added cooking together to the game, because I'm done with my sims going to eat other things when a meal is being prepared by another sim. I'm going to have all my family members cook together, so that when the meal is done, they won't go to the fridge while it's being prepared, they'll finally eat what I have them make!
My grandma LOVES frogs and she's always had a pond in her back garden since my mum was a kid. This update makes me really want to build my grandmas house, pond and tadpoles included. (fyi she's had her pond redone recently and currently has no tadpoles but has bought 3 newts for her pond so now has 3 newts named after 3 of my cousins (they helped her add them to the pond))
God I hope they included the San Myshuno's and Mt. Komorebi's festivals in the calendar, I sometimes wanna go to the Spice Festival but it's all so sudden I can't because I can't plan ahead
It would be lovely to know especially about the Spice festival. That's my favorite one and I usually try to send my Sims. But it would be so helpful to have a clue about *when* it was going to happen so we could plan ahead (as you said.)
And the ones from Island Living too. It's been 2 years and I've only ever been to one of them because I don't know when and where the others are. I don't even know how many there are or what they are. I might not know them if I saw them

I'm kinda sick of kids only having basic skills like tbh if they build up fitness they should carry it to teenage years same with fishing, knitting, piano, cooking. It makes no sense that they have only 5 and only if they conplete it fully they get some sort of reward
I'm pretty sure if you get to level 5 on their social skill they can practice speech and they gain the charisma skill so I think they can do things like that with the other 4 skills as well
@@anieacody7078 This - and also kids can earn reward traits from their aspirations (physically gifted, mentally gifted, and so on) that make them build related skills more quickly so it’s really like they get quite a head start from their efforts as a child.

Okay so picture this: A small cottage house in Windenburg with a pond beside it filled with ducks, dragonflies and lily pads. Behind the house, there’s trees that canopy around a small “secret garden” with lots of flowers, fairy lights and fireflies. I need this patch now so I can live this dream.

My grandson has been sitting on the counter helping me cook since he was about 1. Now he is 8 and can cook simple things with some adult supervision. And his knife skills are better than mine. My son's best friend is a chef and he thinks my grandson will be an amazing chef!
Maybe a few sets of simple recipes and they have to have a high enough mental skill. So like the first things they can learn to cook being just salads, and then things like pancakes or grilled cheese or scrambled eggs, and maybe they can learn to bake cookies but nothing more complicated than that.
It doesn't look like they've done it this way, since kids cooking is related to the mental skill, but it would be neat if sims who had cooked a certain amount as kids would be less likely to set fires when they aged up.

I’m interested to see what the food quality is like when you get two sims with big differences in cooking skill make a dish together. Will the inexperience of one sim lower the quality even if the other sim has mastered the cooking skill?
I seriously almost NEVER play as a child sim. But this is the first time Im planning a playthrough and will utilize a child, just bc it will be fun to cook with grandma. Knit / crochet on the porch with her. Help the family with gardening and caring for the animals. I will actually have more reasons to invest playthrough time during the children stage 😁
i also really hope that the sims team fixed the glitch when you place plants on uneven terrain…..bc i really want to line ponds with plants and not have them place above the land. but overall ahhh!!! ponds!!!!! they’re so awesome!!!!!!!!!
Making lot challenges separate gives me hope that they might do that with cas traits at some point, so vegetarian doesn't have to be one of my three defining characteristics
They have pools and rivers and a ocean now so is a pond really elevating the experience. You could maybe make a pool the around it a pond, leave a couple edges available for the pool, change the water colours add some pizzazz and voila, pond
they will add vegan and it will be the ONLY defining characteristic... and your sim will tell everyone they meet, your goal is to keep them from murdering you in your sleep lmfao.
Yeah- though they'd need way more traits, they rarely add any. I'd kind of like a customizable "culture" tool in the style of clubs or holidays with a later pack so I can define which of my Sims honor certain holidays or eat certain things. That way I could make Kwanzaa or Hanukkah but only have some Sims celebrate it

If you complete the main skills they can gain other skills.
If you max there kid skills they will start developing those skills. Like if you max social they will start working on thier charisma

I'd kind of like a customizable "culture" tool in the style of clubs or holidays with a later pack so I can define which of my Sims honor certain holidays or eat certain things. That way I could make Kwanzaa or Hanukkah but only have some Sims celebrate it

Ponds! Finally! I missed them! In Sims 3 it was in the base game, but not in the Sims 4? In a 7 years old game? Damn...
The sims 3 look like potatoes and most of the content was in the store. Id rather wait seven years for a pond than play with carbs

Given the way the pond tool is built, of course you can't swim in it. That would be a nightmare to program.

Oooo what if they added "Chores"? So you could assign family members to water the plants, clean counters, scrub toilets, etc. It could go on the calendar and it would be an option just like "do homework".
