This is a MUST TRY. I’m having a hard time finding disinfectant anywhere. I have all the ingredients except the essential oil. I’ll find that easily. Thanks 🙏
Very nice. Well presented. I will have to try this i have 2 bottles of 91% alcohol. I've only been using to make spray hand sanitizer. I will try this recipe and top off the remaining portion of the bottle with alcohol. I would do that if I had a little space left over in the bottle like you at the end.
I saw a very short You Tube vid the other day that was put out by the CDC. At the end of it the man said to change out bleach every 2-3 weeks. See, I believe that 24 hours rule is for hospitals and nursing home settings. ruclips.net/video/XUfXl5bw7xY/видео.html
If i was her neighbor i would get her mixture, and load it into an aerosol can. It will preserve better that way. I have a commercial, hospital grade Virucidal/ Sanitizer and i have been doing this. Some people have bought this from me at 2 dollars per can.
@@lvstream720 How do we give someone a *Heart Click*? Can you help? AND How does one load the mixtures into an & aerosol *can*? I want to CLEAN the AIR of Air-Borne Aerosol Particles. Cleaning "surfaces" information is EVERYWHERE! :)
@the Mobile Player "she" talks fast? LOL, Have you EVER seen some of the other RUclips Videos? I'd swear (if it wasn't against my Faith) that there was a FIRE a-comin' somewhere off Camera, that we just don't see! LOL
I was wondering that too. Seems if you spray it in the air things are going to get wet. Maybe use a continuous spray bottle, those produce a fine mist. ??
bluehorizon Depends on the oil. Some oils have antibacterial & antivirual properties and thus add to the sterilization of the spray. Some oils are just for smell...to help cover the alcohol smell. 🙂
Why not use even LESS water [if ANY at all], so as not to DILUTE the ACTIVE Ingredient Disinfectants [Vinegar & the Alcohol). After-All, NEITHER are TOXIC Chemicals. & Why are there WIPES EVERYWHERE, & *AEROSOL SPRAYS* for the AIR-borne Viral- AEROSOL particles NO-WHERE? Which I think is MORE important, because one can just use FULL STREGNTH Alcohol to "Wipe" things down! DUH!
Meredith Johnson It's the end concentration of the alcohol that's important. As an easy example, let's imagine alcohol of 100% concentration. And you also have water. If you add to a spray bottle 1 cup of this alcohol and 1 cup of water, the alcohol concentration is diluted down by the water - it's now only at 50% concentration in the water/alcohol solution created. Which is below the effective level for killing off the germs. Think of everything being added to the alcohol as diluting it. You don't want to dilute it down so much it's ineffective. Now if you start with alcohol solution of only 91%, then you can't add as much to that alcohol solution as you could 100%. Likewise 70% alcohol solution can handle even less dilution. It's important to END with at least 60%, if not preferably 70%, alcohol concentration. Ironically it turns out you don't want 100% alcohol as it dries too fast to be effective. If you have 70% to start with, consider using that straight - it's ready to go :)
I believe the alcohol also helps with how the water sprays out. Vinegar also has disinfecting properties but idk about the percent needed. So i like this recipe cos it has both alcohol & vinegar in it
I have OCD, and I can't think for myself when it comes to germs anymore. So I need help, specifically from someone who _doesn't_ have OCD yet understands sanitation. Your non-OCD realism may break through my intru sive iIIusion. But I have to warn you, this conversation will get awkward: I'm talking about number 2. I don't show my face on RUclips and that's the only reason I'm comfortable enough to express my personal concerns. As awkward as it sounds, I need to ask a sanitation question.
This is so relevant and NEEDED right now. Love how easy you made it!
You did a great job. You spoke clearly and slow enough to follow along.

Kinda late, but you dont need the essential oils, im assuming its just for the fragrance
Wow 😳 this was super easy and cheap.. I’m actually gotta do this.. I can’t find Lysol anywhere anyways 🤷🏽♀️
I just got some from sharingpluslove.com.
Blair Ainsley how much?
@@marthaperez424 lightly higher than the market price but not too much.
Martha Perez $42 for 2 cans 😳😳😳 too expensive 🙈
Same here. Literally all of the stores within a 5 mile radius of me have been completely out for weeks. And that includes the off brands too.
Thank you Aja. I have been using your formula for a couple of months now. My little now knows the next step in the formula from all that we make it.
Nice! I’d just as using a dark glass bottle to reserve the essential oils💕
yesss, this is so important! I am always stocked up on my theives cleaners, but i know many people are struggling to get cleaning supplies right now!
Thank you great job on the video. You made it looks so easy . Everyone stay safe and healthy 🙏

This is awesome. Thank you! Also, if you add about a tablespoon of hydrogene proxide it will add a little bit more of a disinfectant :)
Can we use this on upholstery or fabrics. I usually buy lysol aersol for that purpose no bleach stains.
What temp should the water be?
Thank you for great information
What is Doteres Onguard? Never heard of it
Where do you buy your essential oils?
Awesome Content 🙂
I have a question if you put 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol on a surface is it good for 24 hours
What alcohol brand is that so that I can find online and buy pls?
I don't have oil what can I substitute for the oils
Thank you for sharing enjoyed watching
Such good info-as soon as I can get some alcohol if I’m doing this!!
Thank you!
Wow thank you for sharing I can’t find anywhere Lysol spray
Amazon
What’s the expiration for this spray ? Hopefully with this mixture it’s effective for a while unlike the bleach mixture that only lasts for 24 hours

What if you can only find 70% isopropyl? Less water, more alcohol? Or are you in fail territory no matter what?
Gonna try this, thank you!
Can't understand what the second oil is. I heard lemon but I didn't catch what the second oil is. Can someone please tell me?
Doterra’s Onguard is the 2nd oil

I added alittle more isopropyl alcohol is that ok?
Amber Baldwin...yes! I have done that also. 🌷
Can it be used for air or just on surfaces?
I was wondering that too. Seems if you spray it in the air things are going to get wet. Maybe use a continuous spray bottle, those produce a fine mist. ??
Yes. I have a spray bottle that sprays very fine mist. It’s works just fine. Dries in no time.
Is this safe to use on wood (church pews)?
Jane Carrico Yes!! I have used it on all surfaces (our wood table being one of them). Works perfectly! No harm done. 🌷
Can I skip the essential oil ?what is the purpose to put the essential oil in ?
So it can have a pleasant fragrance... 💐

LOL, well maybe it's because "essential oils" are....wait for it...ESSENTIAL! One MUST have them!

You watered-down the alcohol so its not going to be disinfecting anymore
Essential oils=Karen’s
yes it will. The alcohol content is high enough. All cleaners that contain alcohol also contain water.
@@NC_SUGAR Not if it's below 60-65% alcohol content. She said 1 and 1/4 cups of water and 1/4 cup of alcohol, that like less than 20% alcohol content

No

Depends on the oil. Some oils have antibacterial & antivirual properties and thus add to the sterilization of the spray. Some oils are just for smell...to help cover the alcohol smell. 🙂
I only have 50 or 70 percent alcohol is that enough?
70 is enough but you cannot add anything to it or it will diminish the 70%. So you have to use it straight. No vinegar or water
If I can’t get the 91% of alcohol, can I use the 70% instead
Yes
You can used 3percent peroxide too

This isn't enough Alcohol ratio for it to be a disinfectant spray. It needs to be over 60% alcohol at the end of it.
She's said 91% or higher!
