Isopropyl alcohol used to make these disinfectant wipes is effective in killing germs and fighting viruses. Keep your home clean and safe. These homemade wipes are an IMPROVED version and more effective than a previous wipes video I made a year ago. You should have disinfecting wipes part of your prepper pantry.

When she started off in a clean kitchen , at that moment I knew she was someone I could listen to.
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome way to make your own wipes to clean and sterilize our door knobs, car steering wheels or anything else we might touch so. It was very helpful and I really enjoyed the video I watched it from the beginning to the end and you gave me a lot of great information and I couldn’t believe all those paper towels fit
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! I am glad it was helpful!
I never thought of cutting a role of paper towels in half - I found what you did as for putting the paper towels in a container real interesting - you can use baking soda also to disinfect - when you use it in a garden it kills fungus or disenfect's the soil - Baking soda is a alkaline, - bacteria and fungus's are acid based when they consume sodium bicarbonate it sets off a chimecal reaction and they foam up from the inside and explode - that's how baking kills bacteria and fungus that's why they can't survive in an alkaline envirment - there were some videos on RUclips were they demenstrated puting bacteria on slides that had been wiped with baking soda and water, under a microscope with a camera on it - after a minute or so you could see the mold and bacteria explode - the show was on gardening and how to control garden mold - when I had a garden I used ashes instead it does the same thing
Thanks, Sidney. I always enjoy hearing from you!
@@sandysteinbrook at times I'll post statements then take them down a couple of days latter - some of what I say is not for every one - also I'm probably stepping on toes at times - so I post them a short time and delete them - if something I said catches your eye you can file it - I've done that a few times on this channel
I bought micro fiber shop type towls. Cut in half. Roll into a continuous roll. Put down into the old wipe container but a plastic coffee can works fine. Pour the mixture over and soak. Been using this for a year.
Great tip! Micro fiber shop towels are very strong. Thanks for commenting so others can read this too.
Very practical and informative. Thanks!👍
Thank you!
Thanks for showing this. I do think the store bought ones will sell out quickly again if things escalate like we think. Good video!
Nice! Going to make these
Super easy and no major chemicals in it that we can't pronounce.
this is really helpful thankyou for sharing this with us:) wishing you goodhealth wellbeing and happiness
The alcohol wipes work great!
What would you use for a to-go container went out in public like at the grocery store or just to have on hand when out in public
Disinfecting wipes sold out last year and may again this year. Know how to make disinfectant wipes at home.
This is a great idea Sandy! I’m sure that disinfectant wipes will be sold out again in no time! It’s a good time to stock up on the 91% rubbing alcohol from Walmart while they have it on the shelves! I just wanted to tell you I received my 4 pack of the small lanterns you showed in another video…they give off a lot of light!! Today, NJ was hit with a ton of rain and we lost power for 5 hours…these lanterns came in so handy! Thank you so much for giving us such great suggestions on getting prepared!!! 😘 Janel in NJ
@@sldjme, rubbing alcohol makes a great cleaner even for everyday cleaning. Just going in to regular flu and cold season would cause disinfectant wipes to disappear, but with Covid ramping up again, I can see stores running out again.
I like your idea Sandy but what I'm going to do is buy a plastic sprayer and pump, and apart it like you would on a lawn but in the kitchen and house.
You're going big time. :).
Yup no more zone defense I'm playing man to man now....lloll....
key is to borrow tidbits from everyone everywhere and every place,
...notice how The ultra rich always stay way out in front, middle class mostly reactionary.
"apart" - ?
@@marlene-rr2ih yeah call cnn I typed apart....
...these f critics dude in my prepper village that I hope to one day build rule number 1 no critics allowed.....lloll...
I think they were trying to understand what word you meant to type? Because apart doesn’t fit in the sentence right.. so ur comment doesn’t make sense. What word is it supposed to be? Do you mean “spray”?
This was an awesome and helpful video! Thank u!!❤
Scotts blue shop towels are much better than kitchen type towels.
Thank you for sharing this!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
Great idea! 💡
I love your nails in this video!! Did you paint the tips white yourself or is this a salon mani/dip? Would love to see a diy nail video if you did yours!
Thank you! I painted them myself. I am a budget kind of girl. I have a gel kit with the light so I can do it at home. Buying the kit was the price of going for one salon visit. Well worth the money.
😍 making this!
Thanks for watching!
How do you make Lavender disinfectant wipes with simple ingredients
How about peroxide ?
Peroxide is an excellent cleaner and disinfectant also.
Love it. 👍🏼
Oh good! I am glad this was helpful!
I keep the floor wipe container and put paper into the container without cutting them half
Good idea! Thanks for sharing.
Oh ya! Could use them as swifter wet rags to disinfect as long as you use microfiber instead of regular paper towels!!
Does this not leave a film?
They do not. The alcohol dries clear. I use these regularly to wipe off all of our phones and electronics.
It does not. It’s the same exact thing as the wipes you buy in stores and they leave no film either.
I just received my triple aaa rechargable batteries, and a solar aaa re charger .
So I'm running a flash light now to see how long it lasts. Then I'm recharging them with the sun see what happens.
Let me know how it turns out. I am interested to see how long it will last as well.
@@sandysteinbrook yeah the problem is they come with one charge already so I have to run the flash light till it's out so
So far it's lasted the whole afternoon
Small flash light with 3 triple batteries .
So first I want to find it how long it lasts prob 12 hours. Then when they are out. Re charge them with the solar charger in the morning. It's cheap so it doesn't show when the batteries are fully charged. But I'm going to charge them for 6 hours.
Then I'm going to run them again....lloll.....on Monday,...see how
Long it lasts, that one battery is equal to 500 triple a batteries so long as you keep charging.
Which in a major shtf Sanario
I would say is prob 2 years,
I'll know by tuesday.
@@sandysteinbrook ok so the first part of the experiment is over the rayvac aaa rechargeables batteries that you get brand new with one charge already from the manufacturer went 15 hours in the flashlight.
Now part two I'm recharging them with the solar panel,
Then wanna see how long they go with the solar charge.
@@raybon7939 , 15 hours is pretty good! I will be interested to see how long it takes to charge by solar panel, and then if they still last 15 hours
The battery says 500 charges so thats one year and one half, but if you add on the three hours that's like a little more but the if subtract some failure that's a little less,
So it's one year and a half.
Now the second part is stalled cuase it's a cloudy day here today cuase of that storm,
But sparatic the charge right now,
But it is charging. But I only get sun till 12
Then I have to change it to the other side at 4 p.m. to get more
I figure
Charge it into lunch tommorow
Should give it afull charge.
Then I'll test them on Wednesday. See if it goes 15 .
But really 8 hours is fine. As it would be just the eve that light would be needed.
How many cups is that better homes container? Bc the link you have for it on the description is a different one. I really like the better homes one
So, the Better HOmes one I got at Walmart. It says 1.8L on the bottom.
@@sandysteinbrook thank you for replying!!♥️
But theese rip and fall apart nothing like a wipe great idea thoe
You would need to use either baby wipes or microfiber paper towels instead of regular ones. My local harbor freight has the blue ones for 49 cents each! Then they don’t rip or shred.:.
I'm also boiling eggs in my sun pro solar oven right now.....lloll....
I boiled 4 eggs in the sun pro only
Two were eatable. The rest were too watery. Water had to be included in every meal cuase it's an evacuated tube.
But I'm pretty sure it can cook potatoe skins, and prob beans, and rice /.
Less waste, use Microfiber cloth’s instead of paper towel
good tip. Thanks!
I am going to use baby wipes. I feel like those would work great too
@@sandysteinbrook
Can it remove oil stains as well
I just put alcohol in a cheap little spray bottle from dollar tree and just spray and wipe.
Smart way of doing things!
