    I hit myself with a bat for 2 weeks and after barely hitting a double g, I hit a high e over super C. Very effective

    Yo I just did this after a week of non-stop gigs and competitions for the winter and my chops were dying. Now I’m back where I was and I did it for about 8 minutes total and already am a comfortable half-step higher than I was (high D above staff). This actually works wtf thanks Blaise

    Quad C on an average day and a lot higher when I was young. Relaxation and breath support are really vital. Great attitude and energy on your vid. All the best Pops

    Hey Blaise how long did it take you to build your range? Like would you constantly add a couple new notes every couple of months? Or was there a big breakthrough in your range at some point?

      Kinda both. Once I got up to double G, I hit a wall that I couldn't go past. Then I embraced this hack and my range skyrocketed to double d.

    I could play the 2nd g above the staff since 8th grade. In my 40s, an instrument salesman talked me into trying a Schilke 14 4A mouthpiece and it boosted my range up a couple notes.

      Most get up to half an octave if not more. Try again with more emphasis on cold

    It's called the octave key, you hit a high note, then push the trumpet hard into your chops, like I said octave key

    I noticed at the beginning of the video your embouchure and mine are very similar. Which is very interesting because my band teacher says that my embouchure is incorrect and i should change it by not using as much lower lip and i'm not tensing my lips enough although i can pretty much only play like that.

    I prefer Classical, my top range is easily a double G, but i can squeak out Dub C's, i just won't count it until it's good.

    4:33 just like to clarify, the mute is not to make a brass instrument quieter. it is to change the timbre that the instrument makes.

    I can't choose what is better between jazz and classical. It really depends on if it is a good song. Some of both is great. Also, where does your statistics come from?

      Through testing with friends and subscribers. The average range increase was an additional 60% to their actual range.

      do you know dey way To PLAY high, you must first GET high. Just kidding. Practice with the lower notes and long tones. It takes a little while but if you don’t have a mouthpiece to speed up the process then it’s your only option. Or go outside. Because I just did and it works no joke.

    I unlocked my high high range around 8th to Freshman year. You have to build up that muscle and train your ears all at the same time. Then you have to practice until your good at it

    One time I was auditioning for high school band and I was doing scales. I was trying to go to a double g but could only play a bad high d. I could hit double c's at home but I knew that that would never happen at an audition so I just went for a g. The tension ruined my audition. My tone also sounded bad.

      No, it's a hack to build the muscle memory necessary to stay relaxed. Once you "figure it out" you'll be 100% gucci.
