Question Cyle or anyone..... Should you remove some coolant before doing this job? We talked about a similar issue and a leak down test revealed air leaking into the crankcase. I answered my own question. Yes!!
You obviously have worked on just about every brand of utv and atv I would imagine. So, in your opinion, what brands tend to have the least amount of problems that aren't super expensive? I know it's possible to get a lemon in any brand and you can also luck up and get a chinese made utv that doesn't give you any problems. But because I am not that mechanically inclined, I want to minimize my risks and potential expenses. Thanks for the videos.
That's a really good question. I'm just glad that you understand that all manufacturers have issues. But a lot of the manufacturers that make the aftermarket UTV's have a lot more issues than the name brand manufacturers. I'm a huge fan of the Can-Am Mavericks and the Can-Am defenders. I love the Can-Am I've worked for Can-Am before and I think they're a great unit. Also Polaris makes a really good unit also. Now the major manufacturers are not as affordable as your aftermarket ones but again they do not have near as many problems as they do on the aftermarket. With the aftermarket one is very hard to find parts with the major manufacturers parts are readily available for many years. And also with the major manufacturers you have dealerships that will work on your units and that are close by. Most of the aftermarket units no one wants to touch because it's such a pain in the butt. And it's very hard to find a place that will honor the warranty or will do any type of work to your unit at all.
I just put a new transmission in my massimo 500 and and put it all back together. Now it’s running hot and do you think it could be out of time. Because it get hot really quick
Timing has just a little bit of plat in how hot you're unit runs. That usually come from the cooling system not being bleed properly are the water pump possibly failing.
Kyle, I have a axis 500 it revs high sometimes like 2000 rpm's and want go in gears unless is around 1.400 rpm's any idea why? I run into a problem with it not starting a few months and replaced the spark plug, injector, fuel filter, fuel pressure was 45. It's never been in water and only has 100 hrs on it clean machine. I finally replaced the TPS and it fired right up I reset the ECU from your video. In viewing your videos I think the valve clearance is off because it sometimes spits back when you kill it. Can you tell me what the exhaust and intake cleanance is?Thanks, Tim
Kyle I checked the timing and valve clearance it was ok set as you recommened. I ordered a new Chikia OEM Idle Air Control Valve that didn't help. I keep getting a high idle when I crank it about 2.8 you can kill it and sometimes it will go down to 1.5 but not always then when I kill it I get a big pressure ch chug from the engine. Do you think the timing chain is stretched or the crankshaft key partially shered.
Are you sure that cam lobes are not wore off your cam? Also did you do a ecu reset after you replace the IAC motor. If not you for sure need to do that.
@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 thank you. I tried one from Amazon with the nut welded on the end for help in installing and removing but found it leaking around the o-ring. Went back to an OEM from Lowes. Fingers crossed. Really enjoy the videos. Very helpful!
Are you putt8ng a tiny bit of oil on the oil filter bring before installing it?. That's how you are supposed to do it. If not it won't seal properly. Oil does 3 things for your engine, it's a lubricant, it seals & it cools.
Yeah I know. I realized that before I put the head on. Part of the reason I forgot to record myself putting the head on. Don't worry I went back & took it out. That would of been. That would of been catastrophic.
I emailed Kyle and he called me back, helped me out a bunch. I do like his videos

Hey time I believe the valve clearances are intake .005in & exhaust is .007 I know the older ones were .005 on both intake & exhaust.
Also check of air leaks. Double check cam timing also. Even tho it's new the do stretch the chain.
@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 Ok will check thanks for the info. Great Channel.

I’m having trouble getting the timing right. Is there any pics or tips u could give me?
Yeah shoot me an email at Limitlesspowersports78@gmail.com & I'll send you a pic of how to time it
After watching your vids on the rebuilds, what oil filter do you use after the rebuilds for the Hisun engines?
I used the oem filter. I think you might be able to use the k&n 204 are what ever it is for the rino & grizzly 660

@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 yes, I do oil the o-ring same as I do the gaskets on my other vehicle oil filters. Is it possible to over tighten?
Where was that thermal switch at?
It's on the radiator. Either the back right are left of the depending on the year of unit. Also the size depends on the year too
6:40-11:20 I was yelling at you, but you weren't listening !!! You left a rag in the bottom end. That you didn't remove. While installing the top end.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 Must have missed that with the camera angle. I was thinking, how is this thing even running?
No you didn't miss it with the camera angle. If you look look & listen closely at 9:07 you can see me pull it out & say let's get this out if hear.
Off topic but where is the speed sensor at? Can't find it
Most are on the rear diff.
