    They are our streets and bridges not theirs and we already paid for them

      The only people it really hit are those in Jersey. Not their streets or bridges.

    So taxing for driving on roads paid for by tax dollars. Where is next, parts of Queens, Bronx, or any highway in NYC.

    People should boycott going into New York City. Do not go into New York City for anything. Do not go to Broadway plays, no shopping , no events starting with Easter Sunday. It is a war on cars coming into New York City. This war on cars has been brewing for a long time. An absolute shame and I am so fed up with New York City. Everybody should move. Do not patronize any businesses in Manhattan. We have to show them that we are serious. Do not go into Manhattan (below 60th Street) for anything. That means no concerts even if they are free, do not go!

    Agree with her 100 percent. And most international cities that run this type of program have near perfect train systems that actually reach the suburbs. So it’s easy for citizens to stop driving. The focus here should be to create the environment where car owners no longer need to own cars instead of simply penalizing them when in fact the reality doesn’t allow them to rely entirely on trains.

      And even penalizing them, that money is never going to be put to good use. I don’t trust politicians / officials using $$$ appropriately.

      Relying on trains and subways for the rest of your life? Thank goodness I will NEVER live in a city, creates some form of mental illness to depend entirely on the government for everything you need.

    Usually people who suffer for a lot of congestions like the ones in New Jersey and New York they actually the only way to make it they'll feel better is by moving

    What money is worth that that you can park anywhere even when this car is there for free you're not charged for parking and you have all kinds of stores near you and wait a minute you can go fishing anywhere if you want you can get a fishing license today and go fishing you can't do that in New York City or take time out like in the old days and just don't go to work you can't do that why would anyone in the hell of the world live there you know why with their greed and their selfishness that they don't know where to put it

    so she's saying "CP might pollute the highway disconected from the population center a bit more so instead lets keep polluting the heavily populated area" make it make sense.

      This will increase pollution in the outer boroughs. The south bronx which has the worst pollution rates in the city will see even more pollution. The aif purifiers that the MTA want to implement won't be fully effective according to recent studies. This will not benefit all New Yorkers. I hope the lawsuits succeed

      @@atrailmckinley4786 Why would this increase SB pollution?

    • @atrailmckinley4786
      @atrailmckinley4786 Месяц назад +2

      @faywhite7886 Because traffic will shift to the South Bronx as people will try to avoid paying the toll. It is in the MTA's own environmental assessment. More Trucks will also run on the Cross Bronx because of this. This will only make pollution worse so this clearly is not good for the environment. This is environmental injustice
