- Just weeks before congestion pricing is supposed to go into effect, we are starting to get a clearer picture of how drivers will be tolled in Brooklyn and Queensboro bridges. It turns out that not every route is created equal. FOX 5 NY’s Chris Welch breaks down some of the details that commuters need to know.

I love in Lower East Side and do grocery shopping in brooklyn because the groceries are cheaper there.... and yes we will get charged... they also put up camera on Williamsburg Bridge too!

The only thing the MTA will adjust is increasing the fare in 2025 citing “budget adjustments and the need to improve other aspects of transportation”

Sorry but that’s a real money grab for exiting the 59th Street Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s not convenient for everyone to take the upper roadway depending on their destination in Manhattan. This whole congestion pricing initiative is a money grab. It’s disgraceful. And I feel it’s going to hurt a lot of people who can least afford it. What about people who take Ubers or taxis to go to to doctor appointments in Manhattan?
So if going on the northbound side is ok, why dont they make it a two way cause ima be driving the wrong way try to stop me

If you use the north Exit to FDR you are fine. If you use the south Exit you must pay to get to WSH. In Addition, if you use the top ramp on the 59th street bridge you will not pay. All other entries you must pay. Even going back over the bridge you must pay because the entrance is smacked in the Zone. They really planned this one to ensure EVERYONE WILL PAY.
After the pandemic, the mayor begged companies to bring employees back to the office, and now they complaining about congestion!!!
We in New York City must comply with Bridge and congestion pricing. New Yorkers always vote for the same type of politicians.

With many businesses now being remote, little need to drive into NYC. Much of the financial industry has moved on with most operations being done from elsewhere. For those who stay, one has to wonder why. NYC doesn't offer the value proposition it did back in the pre-2000 era.
