They are awsome. not only do they sell everything, but you just summed them up. They give info they don't have to give. For free. They rock, and I'll be buying parts from them when i get properly started.
Thanks! I just got mine and I am double checking online how to build it. One thing, is not necessary to lubricate the crown stem before inserting it into the movement? Thanks for your help and video!
Thank you very much, and I will try it soon. I have a question please, what is the measurement equation between the movement size and the case size? Cause you used 35mm movement into 38mm case
Hey. This case is made specifically for seiko 7S or NH series movements, and dials at 28.5mm size, any case from Namoki mods will fit a standard seiko automatic movement
@@svkwatches Thank you for your reply. I'm a beginner, and I thought I'd try building a watch myself. So i went on eBay to get what it takes to do so, and my question is, if I buy a 35mm quartz movement and dial, what should be the size of the case so it fits inside it? In your video it is 3mm bigger but as you mentioned it is made specifically foe seiko
@@haleywinkler1414 I can’t help much with that one - the namokimods watchmaking kits have everything you need though, it will otherwise be quite hard to find the right case for a quartz movement with just the diameter - you’d also need the right crown, the right case thickness etc
is this watchmaking kit suitable for other builds? interested in buying the kit just for the tools. Will the tools that are provided in this kit be sufficient enough to build other watch mods? Thanks
Yes of course it’s transferable to other watch builds, especially helpful for mods from NamokiMods and the like though. I will be releasing my own design mod soon - which type of watch are you interested in building?
I don’t mind with this one, I think they have some similar dials with date too though, or ideals could use an nh38 movement and remove the “ghost date”
The watch built here is now for sale! svkwatches.ae/products/namoki-blackout-field-38mm
This is exactly the kind of how to video I was looking for.

They just sell everything for 4x price compared to other places
Great video, just helped me go through my first namoki kit build. Thanks
Good informative video, Simon. Thanks for upload.
Just got to resize the crown stem now...
Ty
great video tku for sharing. Namoki provid you with video instructions once you buy a diy set?
No but you can use my videos to help, I have done a couple and will be doing new tutorials on some more of their kits

I have never done this, never had an issue without, hope the build goes well!
@@svkwatches thank you
It really seems like they should have included the movement holder in the kit if it was such a vital part of the process...
There is a basic clamp style one - I just prefer the simpler printed one I have

Hi does this mean we actually can't build a watch purely from just the items provided in the DIY kit? We still have to buy a movement holder?
You can, there’s a movement holder (vice type) included - I just prefer using my own for the video
Thank you so much, when will kit be on sale ?
I think they mentioned October to me, but if you sign up Namoki will let you know!
What the name of the 35mm donor watch mentioned at the end?
Snk063j5
Do you have a link to the movement holder file that I can print? Thanks!
I found that one on thingiverse, can’t seem to find the file anymore there but there some other types on that site, I’m sure all will work ok
are the movements time graphed already?
They did sell some regulated movements, not sure if this is one, running sweet anyway!
Great looking dial! Total bummer they didn’t add the date window
