    in my case, I worked with a Chinese Company on the MM300 watch case and a Seiko dial SL 35 . And guess what , the dial was made for an ETA 2824-2 . The end result is that I owned now a MM300 with a genuine ETA 2824-2 movement. Accuracy is COSC standards !

      Does the ETA fit perfectly, or is some type of "shim" needed?

      @@mitchellsmith2099 I'm honestly kind of at a crossroads between buying it and not. Kinda got this mentality where I really want something and then don't buy it because I "don't need it" which is true but I also really wanted the classic look of the 007 without having to pay double what it's worth and getting the original. Either way, enjoy the watch!

    Your process is invaluable as I'm prepping to do my first custom build. Love that MM300 case vs others, just a bit disappointed with bracelet options, though Strapcode has one that'll do. UPDATE: I ordered the Namoki MM300 case, but the MM300 bracelets from Strapcode & the one from AliExpress that matched the stock Seiko would not fit that Namoki case. So I just ordered the Namoki one, so another 2 weeks of waiting now. Cheers!

      @@ItsAnotherWatch So I am in it now, e-thing went great, the hands, chap ring, bezel and insert went on fine, though the second hand was a challenge, but aside from the bracelet probs the crystal keeps crushing the gaskets (funny how the Namoki gaskets have that little kick-in edge at the bottom), AND in the USA any additional parts take more than 2 weeks. I'm beginning to think this MM300 case was a mistake? Wish I could contact you for personal advise, but have worked with SVK on other projects so maybe he could help me out? Cheers!

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  Месяц назад

      @@wrthrash Unfortunately Crystal setting for me is the thing I'm not great at. My recommendation would be is to go on AliExpress and order a bunch of crystal gaskets since you can get 10 for cheap. Here's a link: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004098563832.html
      The listing says: 31.5 x 1.4 x 0.35mm for SKX007. I've never actually measured the gaskets, but I assume this is correct.
      Just make sure that you're crystal is the correct side up (if its a flat edgeless crystal might be tough to tell so try flipping it over and seeing if it goes in any better, but if its a domed or sloped edge then ignore this). Try and rest it on top as flat as you can get it before pressing it down.
      I don't really have much advice for getting it right since I usually just set it on top and press it in hoping for the best. But at least you can have several attempts if you buy a bunch of gaskets to practice with until it goes in properly.
      Sorry I couldn't be more help.

    Remove bezel inserts in 5 minutes with no damage. Get lighter fluid like a zippo uses and you just need enough to put the watch face down and it eats the adhesive away great. I have soaked every part I can and examine under magnification and it doesn’t hurt anything except adhesive tape.

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  Год назад +1

      Unfortunately there's no consistent place to get them, Seiko OEM dials are something you have to search around for, looking at Seiko models and then identifying the model number, then searching that number, for example "SPB185 dial" and then seeing what pops up, you can also search Seiko OEM dial on AliExpress to find some. Its just about digging until you find what you're looking for.

    Hi mate, love watching your videos (subscribed)......QUESTION though, you started the build with an NH36 it looked like the crown was at the 3 o'clock position but the case crown position is at 4 o'clock did you adapt the dial to suit this variation and when you do this does the date line up?

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  3 года назад

      I removed the dial feet, allowing me to manually align to the 3.8 O'clock position. The Date wheel aligns at both 3 and 3.8 O clock so it doesn't need to be changed, but the DAY wheel on an NH36 would need to be changed to a 3.8 Aligned one to line up properly. The dial it self doesn't need any other modification other than removing the feet and attaching it with dial dots.

    Question : how to place the crystal gasket correctly?

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  2 года назад +1

      The crystal gasket should have a lip on the bottom of it (sticking outwards slightly on the bottom inner side of it) make sure you put the gasket in the case with this at the bottom. Once you push the gasket in all the way around it should sit where it needs to be, and the crystal will press in and sit on that bottom lip.

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  2 года назад

      Yes it does, you just need to make sure you buy the caseback that is for the 7s26 with its black spacer, rather than the taller caseback that's made for the NH36 and the grey spacer. Namokimods have labels on their product page for casebacks that say if its for 7s26 or NH36.

    What is your trick on putting the second hand that easily on?

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  2 года назад +1

      I pick up the end of it with a piece of rodico and kneel on the floor to have my eye level looking at the movement from the side. I hold the second hand over roughly where the pin is and gently move it against the side of the pin until it moves above the pin and slightly catches, then I press it down lightly so its on there. Then I press it full down onto the pin. I find that aligning it with the pin from the side is easier because you can see when it hits the side of it, and when it slides up onto the middle of it. Doing it top down makes it difficult to see if the hand is actually going onto the pin, or being pushed down beside it.
