Wow best skx ever. I love it how you’ve keep the upgraded skx dial so it can never be deemed a ‘fake’ mm300. Clearly a salute to probably the two greatest modern seikos
Heimdallr makes an skx with a marine master dial and handset. Ceramic bezel insert, sapphire crystal, Seiko nh35, great lume. Got mine for $136 shipped. The coupon is "news15".
But then it wouldn’t be an entry ISO diver, lol. A Marine Master represents the epitome of Seiko professional dive watches and is something to aspire to.
such an attractive build! Everything ties in so well together especially with the limited edition handset! Seiko needs to learn from your designs significantly
Now that's probably my favourite watch you've done. Classy and practical - like you say it's what Seiko should have done. Very tempted to send you an email...
Your OCD is a definite positive attribute when it comes to your craft. Your attention to detail is impeccable! Wishing you great success and all the best that life has to offer my friend.
I really appreciate all your videos, I just replaced the bezel and insert on my SRP and I am stoked on the results! I sent a shoutout on my Instagram story.
I could watch these videos all day, I’m just starting out tinkering with my Seikos, waiting for a ceramic lumed bezel insert to try changing it myself by following one of his videos- inspirational
As usual, looks fantastic. What I wonder about is whether the 4R would need more frequent servicing or adjustment compared to a 6R or 8R, given that it would take more effort to get into this one.
I thought you couldn't put a regular movement into a mono-block case because you need access to the other side of the movement to disassemble the watch (release the stem?). Not true?
A very handsome, smart-looking, tastefully-appointed watch. I like the trim on the hour markers, the hands, the day-date window, all of which are like little accents that give the watch a very clean, precise, crisp, quality look. Also, you swapped out the day-date wheels for dark backgrounds matching the dial, which is much more harmonious and aesthetically complementary with the watch dial overall, and avoids having a light colored background day-date feature jump out in a garrish or obtrusive way. So the watch has this design integrity and balance as a nice piece of jewelry on one's wrist but is also fully functional as a time piece, dive watch, and day-date reminder. (Purists might object to day-date on a watch, but in these Covid days where weekdays and weekends all run together, it's good to know the day of the week and month.)
Amazing build. Everything looks so harmonious, and that shade of gray on the dial is lovely. Incredible lume - the chapter ring and bezel align like a stargate.
Awesome! I just purchased the mmr200 (SPB187) and am disappointed with the lume, bezel rotation, and even (surprise surprise) the alignment! Bezel is extremely tight to turn.
You should show some before and after footage in these modding videos, you start off straight up with the build, show how the normal watch looks like in the beginning and at the end do some quick before and after comparison footage. Someone like myself who's just starting to get into watches would appreciate it.
There is no base watch used so the before and after would just show a bunch of scattered parts, then a completed watch. The components of this build were each individually sourced.
Great work. Though I think the bezel colour and dial colour sort of clash. Not a fan of those shinny ceramic bezels without the lume pip. I think a ceramic bezel looks best if the dial is a deep colour matching it. Though I prefer muted dials with a nice steel bezel.
I keep rewatching this and think, “how can you remove the movement once the stem is in”. This case has not removal caseback. I thought the NH36 movement needs to press down a ‘pin’ to release the stem. That means you can’t remove the stem+crown, and you can’t get the movement out. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Hi mate, What do you charge to go over and reassemble an already modded skx? Got one I’m happy with the design, just not to happy with my build quality. Thanks mate
I like it a lot, but I would adore it if it complemented the matte dial with a wachtmaster-like bezel, engraved polished markers over a matte background
Made my day Eric! This is the exact look I was missing in your creations. My favorite build video. I hesitate to contact you as it might be already sold :(
Can you install the crystal to the crystal holder before it goes on the case or should it be done once the holder is on the case? Also, this is a great video, will there be anymore MM300 build videos coming? Thanks from the UK
You can see watching Erik's videos he is a perfectionist. Just watch how often he uses Rodico to clean up after installing a part. He has stated he is OCD. So if he detected the slightest speck in that front loader MM case he would remove the threaded plug on the back of the case and VERY carefully, a pound at a time increase air pressure so as to push the crystal up out of the case. Not without some prime colorful language before hand tho I'm sure. In this video he stated it would be a "nightmare" to complete the build with a movement that was not working properly. He thinks ahead. And holds himself to a high standard. That is pretty plain for all to see.
hey lume shot im trying to learn more about modding i have an skx 007 but what im mainly trying stuff with is an invicta sadly the crown and stick connected to it broke and i have no idea what its called and were to get an replacement the invicta has a seiko movement so thought maybe u could help me out
Hi mate, great video, got me hooked on this case now. How would you remove the Crown if you wanted to change the movement as the lever to release it is on the underneath? Thanks Lee
Wow best skx ever. I love it how you’ve keep the upgraded skx dial so it can never be deemed a ‘fake’ mm300. Clearly a salute to probably the two greatest modern seikos
An homage to both perhaps?
This must be the Rodico’s favorite channel.
Every 10 seconds I see a piece of Rodico hopping on various parts of the watch.
A simple and elegant mod but all subtlety went out the window when you presented the lume shot . . . WOW!
Bravo!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
It’s honestly frustrating that Seiko just won’t make them like these

They would but cost ya $2800
@Keaton Dye I don't think the bezel is OEM spec. I wanted to change the bezel also but I haven't tried because of what others were saying.
I want the excellent glass like fish eye curved shape
Like the Nija tuna 300m diver watch
But then it wouldn’t be an entry ISO diver, lol. A Marine Master represents the epitome of Seiko professional dive watches and is something to aspire to.
She's a beauty. Can we get a list of CT part numbers for this build? Maybe in the description?
such an attractive build! Everything ties in so well together especially with the limited edition handset! Seiko needs to learn from your designs significantly
Such meticulous care and workmanship! Excellent camera work!
You need to blow up, channel seriously under rated!
Interesting piece. Enjoyed it. Wear your pieces in good health. Regards.

I am recognizing your attention to detail and your skill set. Great work.
Gosh, I love this! I didn't expect to, but I do! Will be reaching out soon.
Excellent work on the SKX mod looks killer 🔥🔥 also your RUclips videos are top notch. 💪Professional work all around
Beautiful build! That is a very unique timepiece!
This build is suuuuuuper cleeeean. Kanji date is the icing on the cake.
I really appreciate all your videos, I just replaced the bezel and insert on my SRP and I am stoked on the results! I sent a shoutout on my Instagram story.

Wow, blown away. I am a huge Seiko fan but absolutely hate mods, until I saw this. I own a mm300 but this is a true knockout.
Nice Video! Very professional. What is that tool you used for cleaning the Indexes at 2:00?
Have you happened to find this out yet? I'm looking for one also

This lad sends SEIKOs current designer team to trash 💪
Basically, you built your own watch and, then, gave the credit to Seiko. Very generous. I'm jealous !
That's a really nice mod. Also thanks for explaining the MM case difference compared to SKXs and others.
Amazing build. Everything looks so harmonious, and that shade of gray on the dial is lovely. Incredible lume - the chapter ring and bezel align like a stargate.

I really like the build walk through. Very educational
I am curious. If the movement should need to come out, how is the crown and stem extracted?
Beautiful. I like how you left it on Tuesday. Because it is hot like fire.
THIS is how you mod. All pieces complementary for a cohesive design.
Maigaad that is an awesome build. I love the lumed day/date and chapter ring. Wowzers!
Great build! What's the hatch on the back of the case for?
How do you service the movement if needed? Isn't the stem release located at the back of the movement?
Nice one! Wondered if you could point me in the direction of the small cleaning tool you use (looks like a glass-tipped rod?) -Thanks!
Question… how would you remove the crystal since you cant access it from the back??
What size Bezel insert does this accepts ? i assume its not a skx007 Insert?
Amazing work as always! What is the gel-like substance you have on the end of a stick to clean the hands please?
This channel is pure gold!
I need too rewrite my wish list to farther Christmas. Honest I've been good.
how would you remove the crystal after putting it in? To service the movement for example?

Hi mate,
What do you charge to go over and reassemble an already modded skx?
Got one I’m happy with the design, just not to happy with my build quality.
Thanks mate
Great video. Any chance you can plz share what product you use to clean the hands? Thanks
How much if I order from you? Jay
Great looking watch and video of the build process. Saw your work over on Peter McKinnon's channel.
That bezel looks smaller than OEM MM bezel. Is it an SKX bezel?
Great work as always! How would you remove the movement (for service) without access to the crown stem lever?
The stem is special, I believe.
beauty. can't take 44mm cases tho. will have to see if you can do something like that with a smaller case.
Namokimods has done a 41-42mm case with the shape of mm300. I hope lume shot will make a mod
Wait, if it’s only front load, then it can’t be serviced? Cause the stem release mechanism is on the watchmaker side and u can’t access it?
What’s being used for cleaning - the white stick with green transparent blob at end?
How do you remove the movement in a case like this. Since it is trapped under the crystal... not sure how that'll work.
I like it a lot, but I would adore it if it complemented the matte dial with a wachtmaster-like bezel, engraved polished markers over a matte background
Wow.. is it iso certified?
Excellent choice of case, absolutely beautiful. Your gifted with your dexterity
looks great but my question is how to get inside if its front-loaded case?
Could you please tell me where you got that black carbon patterned strap?? Thanks in advance!
So satisfying to watch! Amazing work!
How do you remove the glass for a monoblock case?
Hi, Thank you for sharing this stunning job. However how can you dismantle the stem, once it's inserted?
Amazing, Man! Hail from Brazil!
Made my day Eric! This is the exact look I was missing in your creations. My favorite build video. I hesitate to contact you as it might be already sold :(
I wonder if there exists blue version of skx171 dial, I want to create similar mode to this but in SKX case and in blue-red colors ?
How much you want for the Sumo ? I have to much cash and im running out of places to put it..i have to spend it..how much sporty ?
So seeing that this is an SKX to MM mod, does that also mean you could put the internals from a 5kx, thus increasing the WR of the 5kx?
Can you install the crystal to the crystal holder before it goes on the case or should it be done once the holder is on the case? Also, this is a great video, will there be anymore MM300 build videos coming? Thanks from the UK
Where and how do you find all your parts?
Love the build, have you considered doing a 6159-7001/SLA025 gilt version?
What would something like that cost?
Hi. Where is the strap from? I have a CT710 build too but unsure what strap to buy
My question to you - Are the black day date wheels OEM Seiko? What are their part numbers?
I have watched a few of your videos. Could we have some more discussion on the parts. Maybe some links to the parts. Love your work
Does this case come in black?
Alot of these Seiko mod watches are really sharp. That's being said, you can get one hell of a watch for the price of a mod watch.
Which movement should I use if I want to use the original sbdx001 dial and hands?
Is there a bracelet for this case?
How come some days/dates are a bit misaligned in the date window on some SKXs? I think it's a pretty common QC issue, but why does it happen? Thanks!
How do you take out the crown in case you need to service the movement?
What If you have to take it apart since everything is installed through the front?
Hi where did you get the lumed signed crown??
Hey Eric, how do you remove the stem as you don’t have access to the back of the movement?
I think that's what the nut( screw you idiot 🙄 ) in the bottom is for. 2:51 to 3:05
Interesting. Thanks!
There's a screw on the back that allows you to reach the crown release.
Thanks!
Another enjoyable video. What tool do you use to clean the dials with? It looks like a liquid tip
Do you do the water resistance testing?
Wonderfull watch! I particularly like the dial, which one is it?
nice build! now question is, after setting in the crystal and you see a dirt inside? what will you do next?
You can see watching Erik's videos he is a perfectionist. Just watch how often he uses Rodico to clean up after installing a part. He has stated he is OCD. Hello, I have a SKX781 orange monster gen 1 and I've had it for while and was curious if you had any mods for it or would do a video on it
Nice work. One question if you don't mind, what is the hands ref?
Thanks
Hi. I have a question. What if I want to take out the crown
What is the name of the hands and where can I buy them?
This one is gorgeous, congrats !
How do you get the movement out if its frontloaded? if you need to service / swap the movement?
I have a 6r15 from a sumo, wanting to try this in a mm300 conversion case. Would this fit?
hey lume shot im trying to learn more about modding i have an skx 007 but what im mainly trying stuff with is an invicta sadly the crown and stick connected to it broke and i have no idea what its called and were to get an replacement the invicta has a seiko movement so thought maybe u could help me out
Man I wish SKX013 would get the same love with modparts
How much for the watch thanks
Hi mate, great video, got me hooked on this case now. How would you remove the Crown if you wanted to change the movement as the lever to release it is on the underneath? Thanks Lee
It's ok, I got the guide from CT and the little screw on the back allows you access to the crown release lever. Thanks Lee
Where did you source the insert from?
