We all know it's not a fake watch in that sense. It's fake as in it's imitating a customized Rolex milgauss. Replica/counterfeit/knock off whatever. No need to mince words, just call it for what it is and isn't. He acknowledged it as well, so what's there to argue?
We also know it's hand assembled so that makes it more special.

I can promise you every watchmaker and watch enthousiast will enjoy this video. Watches are a work or art, but the most important thing is how the watch makes you feel. 5 years from now you'll look at this watch and it will remind you of all the great memories you've made along the way with this watch on your wrist. The fact that you've put it together yourself is already a great memory in itself.

Great build, really incredible what you can do for £100-£200! Really very little material difference between these SeikoMod builds and watches 10-20x the retail price; I’ve built a few myself.

Just FYI you don't stop advancing the time when the date wheel STARTS rotating, you're supposed to stop advancing once the date wheel snaps into the next position, the date wheel starts to rotate around the 11pm position, not really a big deal, it just means that the date on your watch isn't going to snap into the proper date until about 1am but most people are asleep around that time and wouldn't be awake to notice.. just noticed you realized and fixed it😅
either way I have no doubt you will enjoy this watch, its your first build and will always hold sentimental value, beautiful build

I have paused multiple of your videos to try and work out what you're wearing haha, nice job. Most adventurous I've gotten is modding my SKX013

Just when I've considered building an AliWatch myself. Elliot you inspire me, this was a great watch (watch?) and honestly, you could make an entire spinoff channel of just this and I'd eat it for breakfast.

Although I am not particularly interested in watches, I really enjoyed it! I had to “watch” it all. (I’ll get me coat)

I really had no idea there was a mountain of wristwatch components out there packaged and sold individually for those of us who are passionate about precision mechanics and the compact marvels on our wrists. Maybe I'll also try buying tools and components to install one for myself to experience. Thank you Elliot Coll for letting me know about this, I hope the channel continues to grow!

Nice work! I've been doing this for a while and it's honestly so much fun. If you want to get freaky with it you can take the train bridge off of the movement and paint it with automotive paint to add some colour. You can also buy custom rotors and movement bridges to spice things up if you have a clear caseback

Assembling a watch is pretty fun and surprisingly easy to do as long as your movement is all together its all just drop in and bolt-on.
