Very helpful video, though I noticed this is supposed to be a “GMT” watch which should feature a 24 hour bezel since the idea is to keep multiple time zones. You used a 60 minute bezel that is meant to monitor diving time and decompression stops on a “Submariner” watch.

Keep in mind this is a no-return path... I have 10 self made custom watches so far, and now I'm even customizing the dials!
Some I use very regularly on my every-day rotation, especially the titanium ones. This is a great hobby.

I recently modded a pvd stealth watch myself. I swapped the day and date wheels on the nh36a movement from white to black and installed a better dial with subtle lume and used a dark grey handset to make the watch legible while keeping the stealth theme. The watch initially came with a dial that didn’t have any lume and the white day and date wheels didn’t match the stealthy look. It came out great!

i know some of your viewers have picked up on the bezel being wrong for the batman but the bracelet is also wrong the batgirl has the jubilee bracelet and the batman has the oyster bracelet but like your videos thanks

You probably violated at least 20 rules of watch modding when you assemble all the components, but who cares really lol. One friendly note, you can use the same tool to push back in the pins of the bracelet, that you used to push them out.
Yes I know! But it’s a realistic and quick assembly of a watch for beginners, by a beginner.
I’ve made another video where I use finger condoms, lubricate the rubber seals and use the dust blower etc for a higher quality build. I just need to edit the video.

I see others exactly said the same thing: wrong bezel for GMT. Or wrong dial! Or both! If your dial has markers for it, you can actually track 3 timezones...

@@WaveyWatches nothing wrong perse. Just saying there are dials with GMT indicators as well: combined with a GMT bezel you can track 3 timezones!

I think I said in one of my other videos. I would not recommend swimming with this unless you have done tests with it. I don’t think it is worth the risk.
But if you do it to a high standard and test it, it would be fine.

You don't have GMT (24H) numbers on the bezel which is ok but you don't have Numbers on the dial either, therefore you can't use the GMT function. So why a GMT movement and not a regular one? Appreciate your enthusiasm!
I have already ordered the correct bezel. I didn’t realise the dial needed to be GMT also… I will see if I can order them to fix the issue ! I assumed that the dial which says GMT that it would be okay

Yes they are reliable and good. I have been told they are Seiko movements without the logos

Its all your fault... now I have an order from ali on the way🤣🤣. Any reminders/tips for a first timer? I ordered all the tools & parts needed etc. any tricks that make it easier??
That’s amazing. I think my genuine advice would but watch multiple videos of the process and take your time. The hands will be really hard the first time but that’s okay, if you bend them just bend them back.
I will make a tool video soon. But a rubber ball, movement holder , tweezers, rodico (blue tac) and the hand pusher tool are absolutely needed
@@WaveyWatches so for the tools the only one I didnt feel necessary was the rubber ball. I got everything else though. And from your videos of how easy you make installing the hands on look. I figured its one of the easier parts🤣

What function does the blue needle (the first one you place) have?
It called a GMT watch, that is the GMT hand, Greenwich Mean Time, it allows you to track two time zones at once. If you are on holiday, you have family or business in another country and you want to know what time it is there aswell as your own countries time zone

yes just order a 36mm case and all of the parts will fit into the same way as a 38 or 40mm case

Honestly, Im seeing more and more fakes of various rolexes on different people I meet. This is to me just as much a rip off as if it said Rolex on the face of it. The best thing that can happen from this is that it deflates the value of rolex watches.
And what is the legality of using the Seiko brand as a substitute for making a rolex replica? Isnt that just as illegal? Obviously this isnt a Seiko watch.
