My new born is 5 days old and she could lift her head out of the womb. She also recognized my wife and I’s voices right away which was amazing. She calms down as soon as she hears one of us speak. She also loves black and white pictures and stripes. She is meeting her milestones so fast compared to our first child. We are so amazed.
Same. My daughter did all of this before the end of the first week. Her cord stump fell off at the end of day 5. Perfectly healed, no need to clean with alcohol at all.
As a first time Dad I appreciate seeing videos like these to help give reassurance! Easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but my girlfriend and I work well as a team and share the load with Ava as much as we can!
Im the father of a 12yr old son whom I love very very much, and with him having non-verbal Autism, I desperately, hopefully and praying to see normal signs of development with my second 5 week old son.

My daughter recognized her brother's (3) voice right away and would turn to him. Guess it helps he liked talking ton her in my tummy.

My baby is now 6 weeks old he is doing all of what you mentioned and also rolled over on his back before he was a month old during tummy time. He keep doing this whenever he is on his tummy

Our baby is 1 month and 3 days now! Thanks for this video. I can see all the milestones you mentioned. As for me and how I am doing, I’m struggling with eating enough. I focus so much on baby girl that I forget to eat and take care of myself. Working on that though.
Hey Mama , I feel you . Please remember to take care of yourself . If you have an instant pot or something to make your oatmeal in advance so you only microwave and add frozen berries ! Great to give you energy without doing much. You got this ! I’m have a 3 weeks old baby and breastfeeding. It’s crucial to remember about myself . Healthy mom healthy baby ❤

I'm in a similar boat. My little one is 4weeks and 1day today, and I was actually worried about the quivering she does with her little arms and legs, so watching this has really set my mind at ease, just knowing it's part of her development. I feel really bad for always thinking that being a stay at home parent was a breeze in the past. I'm so sorry for ever thinking that, because it's exhausting both physically and mentally 😅

Awesome video, it really helps to have a reference that I can compare my baby’s development to. Everything seems to be very similar, except maybe for a bit too much of jerking and flexing, my baby feels tens a lot and can hold his head up when on tummy for a couple of seconds. It’s not like he never relaxes, but I think I’m gonna check that
Some jerking is totally normal! It’s just if they’re doing it a LOT that it’s a cause for concern!
Mine also its a quiet mover so scary sometimes need to hold properly otherwise might fall down 😯

Nice video! What is the best time of the day to practise tummy time and looking at those cards? Before diaper change, after? Before feeding or after? Our boy sleeps for 3 to 4 hours, then we change his diaper and feed him. He then falls asleep after some cuddling time. I have no idea when we should do tummy time and visual excercises.

Thank you for sharing this video. My newborn is 17 days old, and recently she's exhibiting signs of vomiting after feeding, sometimes high-pitched coughing as well right after latching. I'm doing full breastfeeding and wondering if it's because of a faster milk flow that's causing her to exhibit these signs recently. But the vomiting / spit out is somehow quite worrying at times, I tried to burp her as well but it takes really long and sometimes she doesn't burp. Any thoughts on this? Weight gain is alright though.

Hello, may I ask you if this startle reflex means baby should wake and start crying too? My baby just jerks and startles but most of the time she keeps sleeping, sometimes partly open her eyes, "checks the situation" and keeps sleeping and sometimes slowly wakes up. Most of the time she keeps sleeping though. Is that how it should work? Thank you very much.

I have a question thats been bothering me: my daughter absolutely hates being on her back, swaddled or not, cries hysterically every time she's on her back, and she always prefers tummy time (whether laying in her bassinet or on mine or my husband's chest). Is that normal and if not, how do i curb that so she sleeps properly?

I appreciate this video. My son was in the NICU for 4/26-5/17 3 weeks )and he turned 1 month this Tuesday 5/24 so this helped me feel at ease that’s he’s doing fine. The doctors says he’s doing fine. I just get paranoid as a new mom.
Sounds like he’s doing great! And remember too, it’s by adjusted age for milestones! My first was a NICU grad too. I hope you’re recovering from that trauma; NICU life is so hard.
