You have SUCH fantastic content. Inspired by you, I started making these signs to (hopefully!) add to my booth. You make it look so easy!! 😆. I like the Vaseline the best but I think I will use all four just to give my signs some real elbow-grease added patina!!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I need to try this. When making chalk paint (not chalk board paint) and wanted to make black chalk paint I ran into a problem.
I can only buy white latex paint. To make it another colour I can add something (a toning colour). That they have also in black. But white + black is never more than
dark grey.
If you buy a tester of black paint and make into chalk paint you shouldn't have a problem. It doesn't lighten the color too much

I have a little workshop outside that works great to create in. The metal table we think was a parts washer but its perfect to contain my messes in. We found it at a yard sale!!

Question... When you make the white and colored chalk paint you mixed the plaster of paris with water then added to the paint, but this you didnt use water. Is that the difference in chalk paint and chalkboard paint? Or can you eliminate the water in the white and colored paint as well? Do they both come out the same? It would be cool to have a pink chalkboards! lol
It is two different recipes. If you want pink chalkboard paint then sub black paint for pink . Thanks for watching Kimberly

Why do you put the chalk in n at the end? Do you have to?
You don't have too but when you go to wipe your lettering off if won't come off that well
Chalkboards in the 50’s and 60’s was a green. These are really Vintage do you happen to be familiar with this color.
Yes!! You could make that colour into chalk board paint easy by just changing the black paint to that green
