    Whenever we lose Willie Trigger should be buried with him. Two legends of country music.

    I would call it “nailing it”. There’s so much more to it than mere notes being played. Tone, touch, expression, experience. I’ve never heard anything like it.😊

    Willie Nelson has a style of playing that sounds like he's either out of tune or ahead of the melody's, but that's just his way. I wish I coukx still be like this at 88, he maybe a country singer but he lived a rock n roll life

    • @bido8176
      @bido8176 Год назад +3

      Yes it seems like hes a half step ahead many times but then always find a way to resolve the note back into the melody. Its very unique but works somehow.

    • @thomaslemon3971
      @thomaslemon3971 Год назад

      He has Willie phrasing. Lol. And the “out of tune” has more to do with Trigger having horrible intonation from being so beat up. But his ear for melody is much better than people give him credit for. His guitar hero was Django!

      Waylon Jennings once said about Willie Nelson: "He's a back-phaser, ain't got no rythm!" And I guess that is true. Willie Nelson by himself is great, at least I don't notice it then, but whenever he tries to do a duet with someone it sounds terrible. His timing is way off. He can never hit the notes at the same time as the one he is singing with.

    • @ed8944
      @ed8944  2 года назад +6

      Very high age makes your body decline, joints get more stiff and reactions slower, so pulling this off at 88 is quite impressive.
