+hear fan I think because purple is made of blue and red, which are two of the base colors, its almost always affected for people who are partially colorblind.
Purple seems to be the most amazing color to people who have used these glasses. I think this is awesome. I can't imagine the experience of seeing color for the first time but I bet it's mind blowing.
+Blake Richa93 purple is at the highest end of the visible light spectrum before ultraviolet, i can imagine that to someone who is blue blind that would be intense. it's the highest energy color.
linasuperdina well they Arnt fake but i think most peapole Are overeacting they dont give your colour back they cant make new cromas in your eye but they can help you diffreanicate them so lets say your red is ornange it will be brighter and pop out more so it becomes more red
He is so freaking adorable. His reactions, so filled with wonder.... the way he looked at his own skin and realized his nails were pinkish and how he wanted to see his gf's eyes. Ahhhh, too cute - I'm dying!!
+Dori C Did he just find out black people are actually brown?... And look at how he is checking out the color of his own hands and arms :D I`m getting my new glasses by friday!
This is totally AMAZING! The person that developed this deserves A LOT of credit! Must be a truly joyful moment in your Life when you put these on! Also thanks for this video! Cheers
I love these EnChroma videos! I especially love everyone's shared reaction to purple. It is strange to think a color that is so common is so special to people who are seeing it clearly for the first time. Cheers to your colorful new world, and just a heads up, you might get more hits if you change the 'I' to an 'O' in the word enchroma in your video title. Thanks for sharing!
i'm twelve and i found out i am color blind just a few weeks ago after taking a test. I have the protanopia type and im getting my EnChoma glasses in 4 weeks! Wish me luck!!
Nice couple. Have long, happy, and colorful lives. EDIT: I find myself coming back to this video every once in a while. Just very nice people. Nice to see the gentleman experience color for the first time.
This is the best video of any I've seen of someone trying those glasses for the first time. He is so enthusiastic about seeing all the colors; I really enjoyed this video.
This is amazing. You have never ever seen lime green and the second you see it you say "that green is ridiculous" which is pretty much what everybody says about lime green. That's why few people paint their cars/houses lime green, because it's ridiculous somehow. And you reached that conclusion in 3 seconds after you first saw the color. The human brain is amazing.
"That is a clash if I've ever seen one." fantastic. blue & yellow being on the opposite side of the spectrum. :D As an artist, I find this absolutely wonderful!
When he looked at his hands as if he were seeing them for the first time, the reality of how we take the littlest things for granted could never have been clearer.
I'm colorblind (red-green), but I'm not sure if I'd want these or not. I'm content with seeing the colors I do now, but I know if I tried the glasses, I'd never be able to live without them.
A buddy at work tried them on for about 15 seconds, and quickly handed them back to me. Said it was too much to handle, and didn't like it, LOL! He couldn't see blue.
I have 7 subscribers Well just speaking for myself living with glasses is something you get used to very quickly. If I don't put mine on I'm so nearsighted I wouldn't know who was coming towards me until they were a foot away. It's funny cause sometimes I forget that wearing glasses would actually be annoying for some people.
we take so much for granted .....being able to see colors is one of them. This video made me so happy and I'm so happy for him that he can experience seeing colors now. Those glasses are pretty amazing. Are they expensive? Thank you for sharing this video :)
I am getting so much joy from watching these! I just wish my son could have a pair so his his video games could come to life in colors! Everything else too! You really don't know how much is missing to those afflicted until you watch these.
An ophthalmologist told me that his professional org. is lobbying insurance companies to cover these under their "life enhancement" clauses, or something like that. Good luck, I hope your son can get some soon!
Thanks so much Salice McCool! Now they may start being covered by insurance, it may take a few years but as long as they are looking into it gives me hope! Thanks again!
+Nancy Reisiger Rice You're more than welcome! I should have mentioned that I meant health vs vision insurance; the latter doesn't reimburse very much. The company is lobbying for coverage, as well, which of course makes sense, business-wise.
Not knowing that someone was seeing colors for the first time, I would totally think dude was tripping on some fine LSD. I imagine it's actually a bit like that, experiencing colors for the first time. Something that you have such a limited frame of reference of suddenly becoming extremely defined. It must be overwhelming.
Haven't done lsd but I've done mushrooms and it's kinda like seeing colors the first time. Everything pops out and colors seem so rich. I'd like to see a video of a colorblind person eating mushrooms and then try on the glasses while peaking.
Blue has been my favorite color but after all these videos, purple is actually becoming my favorite color. Suddenly purple seems like such an amazing and special color. I'm not colorblind so I may not ever be able to experience exactly how it feels to see purple for the first ever time (although part of me wishes I could know how that feels - I can't even imagine seeing a color for the first ever time) but suddenly purple seems so much more vibrant and beautiful.
People with heart problems, insomnia, or difficulty breathing should not wear EnChroma glasses in Las Vegas. Side effects could include heart attack, dizziness, or fainting. Ask your doctor if EnChroma glasses are right for you.
I love the exploration of a new world that comes with these kinds of videos. It's like revisiting a game you got bored of, with a new friend that's experiencing it for the first time. Gives you a fresh look into an old favorite.
Well, I had videos of me opening the box and reading the instructions before I went to Lowe's to try them on, but I thought that'd be boring. If you want me to make an extended cut of the whole thing I can. :) Here: ruclips.net/video/LTmIQeU5SN4/видео.htmlsi=b6RaNZik6XFmhtFi
I was a little surprised that the glasses worked indoors, as well. I thought you needed a different kind for that? Maybe it was the fluorescent lights? [I figured out you weren't at a Home Desperate as soon as an employee talked to you. ; ) ]
+Justinio2 Which type of color blind are you ? I am classified as a strong deutans. I have difficulty especially to distinguish between light green and yellow. I would like to order some glasses, but in a few month, it is going to be winter where I live and there is gonna be snow outside. Do you think they would work inside as well ?
I think the amazing thing for me is watching these people develop a sudden appreciation of nature. I saw one of these videos where the man's family bought him children's color books and surrounded him with balloons and such, but what really drew his attention was a tree outside of the restaurant across the street, because it had red and green in it. He just stood at the window looking at the tree. I don't know why watching these videos make me so happy. I'm just happy for these people and each time it makes me appreciate color more.
This is a great video! I'm so glad you're able to have this experience. Seeing how excited you are at something most people take for granted makes me feel very blessed.
"It comes with a cleaning cloth!" *uses tee shirt* On some real stuff though, congratulations! this really opened my eyes to see how much I take certain things for granted- like seeing beautiful colors every day. I'm so happy for you!
It was really exciting to see you discover new colors for the first time and to see them more brightly and clearly for the first time. I don't know if that was your mom or what, but i think there was a need to make a distinction (i'm an art director, so i work w/ colors) that green isn't a lime green, but a "neon green" due to fluorescent inks. Many of those vacuum cleaners you looked at also had marvelous new dyes and pigments added to the plastics that were not there even just a few years ago, as to make them more attractive to consumers. I'm sure they had metallics and other snazzy things to also make them alluring. What it might do to make our landfills more toxic, idk... but anyway you get the picture. Those are even "new colors" that you wouldn't have seen a few years ago, and even fluorescents could be considered relatively modern and they do "excite the eye" in a way I'm not entirely sure of - not an expert on optics. Anyway, I'm super happy for you!
Very gorgeous :-). I have been watching these videos all day over Thanksgiving vacation and your reaction is one of my favorites. It's amazing what we take for granted every single day, something as beautiful as color. Great video :-), are they still working well for you?
Yeah, I saw one of those. It's actually kind of pathetic and sad. The person I saw didn't believe just because he doesn't have them. Goes to show how "logical" someone can really be.
well LSD can create even weirder effects where one sense is received through another sense, like feeling colours or seeing sounds, which can also occur naturally in some people. It's called synaesthesia.
I watched this last night and today I went to the garden department at Lowe's, and saw the same sign he sees at 7:34 ("1 Year Guarantee On Every Plant"), and remembered that he's told the background color is navy blue.

Imagine if there were people around, they might of thought you were place here from another planet. lol. Now i am very curious to get a pair to see what the world really looks like. Thanks for the vid!
It must be like tripping for them. To see familiar things suddenly seem different. And it's weird how they really love purple. I guess it's because it's the lowest wavelength in visible light.
I was wondering if you live in Colorado Springs. That looks like the Lowes close to my house on Power and Constitution. I just ordered some for my son and are waiting for them to come in. I would love to get to talk with you about them. Thanks so much if you do.
Purple always seems to fascinate them
+hear fan I think because purple is made of blue and red, which are two of the base colors, its almost always affected for people who are partially colorblind.
+hear fan every peroson i have seen react to thes has been like wtf is that purple
+hear fan Imagine what they saw before, seeing something different is amazing.
Yeah because i usually see purple as a blue. Same as navy blue
+hear fan If i'll ever see purple as everyone thats not colorblind is i think i will also be. For me its just blue.
Purple seems to be the most amazing color to people who have used these glasses. I think this is awesome. I can't imagine the experience of seeing color for the first time but I bet it's mind blowing.
+Blake Richa93 Purple is a really underrated color in general
+Blake Richa93 purple is at the highest end of the visible light spectrum before ultraviolet, i can imagine that to someone who is blue blind that would be intense. it's the highest energy color.
It's cause they can't see the red in the purple
Wait till he sees the sunset.
+Lazy Spark i think if he's blue color blind he probably could already see the reds of a sunset
+dan428 so, the down? .-.
I'm pretty sure those sunglasses correct red-green mild color blindness.
Maxime Cloutier there are different glasses for different colour blindnesses.
the thing I love most about these videos is the person looking into others eyes realising how freaking pretty they are
same
linasuperdina well they Arnt fake but i think most peapole Are overeacting they dont give your colour back they cant make new cromas in your eye but they can help you diffreanicate them so lets say your red is ornange it will be brighter and pop out more so it becomes more red

I am colorblind and never knew finger nails are pink.
it depends on how strong they're supplied with blood. When it's hot, they're pinker than when you feel normal :)
true😂
your fingernails aren't pink, it's the skin underneath them :P
VancouverCanucksRock - yeah thank you. That was needed! 😒
"Oh! So now you KNOW I'm black!" omg XD

Hey, two teenagers are peacefully altering their minds, can you use violence to destroy their futures and imprison them with old rapists for a decade?
hes like 30
In the video, he said he was 28 at that time.
You went hardcore..first time in a garden center! Color explosions. SO glad for you
"This is a different purple" jesus these glasses are amazing. Great technology.
the black guy was just thinking "wow, that guy is REALLY impressed by our selection of vacuum cleaners."
I think the girl filming worked there and they filmed this during her break. So the black guy was her co-worker.
This is the best video of any I've seen of someone trying those glasses for the first time. He is so enthusiastic about seeing all the colors; I really enjoyed this video.

happy for both of u guys.have a nice life
awwwwww I love that you suddenly had to look at her eyes to know what colour they are! That was so sweet.
I can only imagine when christmas decorations were up ... :)
This man has more discipline that the others. I think that he might do well by studying a box of Crayola Crayons.

This was awesome, I'm red green colorblind but just mild, its really nice to watch people seeing colors properly.
I was a little surprised that the glasses worked indoors, as well. I thought you needed a different kind for that? Maybe it was the fluorescent lights? [I figured out you weren't at a Home Desperate as soon as an employee talked to you. ; ) ]

also it is worth it
Can these come in contacts lens.?That would be very practical.
I'm sure they will. Would be great to wear them at work!

i think ecroma is working on making contacts

i've watched few of these tonight...yours is by far the best. I love how interested you were in checking out everything!
They are always so happy to see purple! And mist don't now pink.
That Lowe's guy was so sweet I almost cried. This video is so dense with wonderful moments. Oh my goodness.
This video is amazing dude. I'm very happy for you. Now I'm gonna shop for Enchroma glasses for my nephew.
I hope some day i gett these glasses i really want to see color.
This is a great video! I'm so glad you're able to have this experience. Seeing how excited you are at something most people take for granted makes me feel very blessed.
Love it. The guy is going to paint the whole house purple.
That was probably the perfect place for this.
You can tell I'm black now? 😂😂😂
Pretty awesome, if you haven't done so yet, go see a colorful childrens movie in any HD Theater. I so apreciate all the beautiful colors in them.
Wow - the paint aisle! Brilliant for Enchroma reveal!
awwww one of the first things he wanted to see was his GF's eyes, I'm crying
I love this guy!
This keeps reaffirming that purple is friggin AWESOME!
This was fantastic, thank you for sharing this personel experience
It's funny how he went to a flower store to try them and instead was mesmerized by the pallets full of bags of fertilizer xD
"It comes with a cleaning cloth!" *uses tee shirt*
On some real stuff though, congratulations! this really opened my eyes to see how much I take certain things for granted- like seeing beautiful colors every day. I'm so happy for you!
I now have more appreciation for navy blue and purple😂
Hayden Toltzmann u don’t know hard it is to differentiate between purple and blue for us colorblind, I wish I could appreciate too.

I love their reaction to purple . its so Cute !
Loves the purple! Purple would be really nice to see if you had never seen it.
Oh, you picked the perfect place to try them on! 💖💕
Wow, there's already someone claiming it's fake... It clearly real.
Yeah, I saw one of those. It's actually kind of pathetic and sad. The person I saw didn't believe just because he doesn't have them. Goes to show how "logical" someone can really be.
It seems they never saw purple color before in all videos I watched.
So glad for you guys.
"my nails are pink"
how many of you looked at your nails after he said that? i did.
Every person on LSD ever
Exactly my thought!!
pretty much
well LSD can create even weirder effects where one sense is received through another sense, like feeling colours or seeing sounds, which can also occur naturally in some people. It's called synaesthesia.
Okay at 11:50 a one direction song Diana was playing in the store and that's all I could pay attention to. Really cool video though!
I'm not colorblind but it is amazing watching someone see new colors for the first time and ask what they are. It must be surreal.
Loved that one of the things he did was look at the color of her eyes.
Love his reaction. I think purple is his new favorite color.
I work at Lowe's. I've worked in the garden centre for years. This is a very special EnChroma video for me!
Will you do a follow-up video to show what it's like after a couple of of months of using them please?
How nice that he was able to do this when he was surrounded by so many flowers!
Can't wait to hear what playing video games looks like! I'd image having a full spectrum of color would help.
Finally being able to see fifty shades of green
They are working really well for him.
This is amazing really I love watching these videos
I love watching these Enchroma videos.
This video is great!!! The only way it gets any better is if at around1:55 you start playing the back to the future theme.

It must be like tripping for them. To see familiar things suddenly seem different. And it's weird how they really love purple. I guess it's because it's the lowest wavelength in visible light.
And I'm sitting here bugging out at the camera's shifting white balance when you get to the paint section, lol! 0_0
