Purple always seems to fascinate them
+hear fan I think because purple is made of blue and red, which are two of the base colors, its almost always affected for people who are partially colorblind.

Purple seems to be the most amazing color to people who have used these glasses. I think this is awesome. I can't imagine the experience of seeing color for the first time but I bet it's mind blowing.

+Blake Richa93 purple is at the highest end of the visible light spectrum before ultraviolet, i can imagine that to someone who is blue blind that would be intense. it's the highest energy color.

i'm twelve and i found out i am color blind just a few weeks ago after taking a test. I have the protanopia type and im getting my EnChoma glasses in 4 weeks! Wish me luck!!

linasuperdina well they Arnt fake but i think most peapole Are overeacting they dont give your colour back they cant make new cromas in your eye but they can help you diffreanicate them so lets say your red is ornange it will be brighter and pop out more so it becomes more red

I am colorblind and never knew finger nails are pink.
it depends on how strong they're supplied with blood. When it's hot, they're pinker than when you feel normal :)

Not knowing that someone was seeing colors for the first time, I would totally think dude was tripping on some fine LSD. I imagine it's actually a bit like that, experiencing colors for the first time. Something that you have such a limited frame of reference of suddenly becoming extremely defined. It must be overwhelming.
Haven't done lsd but I've done mushrooms and it's kinda like seeing colors the first time. Everything pops out and colors seem so rich. I'd like to see a video of a colorblind person eating mushrooms and then try on the glasses while peaking.

When he looked at his hands as if he were seeing them for the first time, the reality of how we take the littlest things for granted could never have been clearer.
I'm colorblind (red-green), but I'm not sure if I'd want these or not. I'm content with seeing the colors I do now, but I know if I tried the glasses, I'd never be able to live without them.
A buddy at work tried them on for about 15 seconds, and quickly handed them back to me. Said it was too much to handle, and didn't like it, LOL! He couldn't see blue.

I have 7 subscribers Well just speaking for myself living with glasses is something you get used to very quickly. If I don't put mine on I'm so nearsighted I wouldn't know who was coming towards me until they were a foot away. It's funny cause sometimes I forget that wearing glasses would actually be annoying for some people.

This is amazing. You have never ever seen lime green and the second you see it you say "that green is ridiculous" which is pretty much what everybody says about lime green. That's why few people paint their cars/houses lime green, because it's ridiculous somehow. And you reached that conclusion in 3 seconds after you first saw the color. The human brain is amazing.

This was awesome, I'm red green colorblind but just mild, its really nice to watch people seeing colors properly.
I was a little surprised that the glasses worked indoors, as well. I thought you needed a different kind for that? Maybe it was the fluorescent lights? [I figured out you weren't at a Home Desperate as soon as an employee talked to you. ; ) ]
+Justinio2 Which type of color blind are you ? I am classified as a strong deutans. I have difficulty especially to distinguish between light green and yellow. I would like to order some glasses, but in a few month, it is going to be winter where I live and there is gonna be snow outside. Do you think they would work inside as well ?

well LSD can create even weirder effects where one sense is received through another sense, like feeling colours or seeing sounds, which can also occur naturally in some people. It's called synaesthesia.
It's so humbling to watch someone experience the colors we take for granted for the first time. It's so amazing.
This is the best video of any I've seen of someone trying those glasses for the first time. He is so enthusiastic about seeing all the colors; I really enjoyed this video.
It's funny how he went to a flower store to try them and instead was mesmerized by the pallets full of bags of fertilizer xD

Should try them in Las Vegas. Should be overwhelming with the amount of colour there.

Blue has been my favorite color but after all these videos, purple is actually becoming my favorite color. Suddenly purple seems like such an amazing and special color. I'm not colorblind so I may not ever be able to experience exactly how it feels to see purple for the first ever time (although part of me wishes I could know how that feels - I can't even imagine seeing a color for the first ever time) but suddenly purple seems so much more vibrant and beautiful.
I think this is one of my favorite reactions. He’s just so inquisitive and discovers so much in such a short time.
This is a great video! I'm so glad you're able to have this experience. Seeing how excited you are at something most people take for granted makes me feel very blessed.

I am getting so much joy from watching these! I just wish my son could have a pair so his his video games could come to life in colors! Everything else too! You really don't know how much is missing to those afflicted until you watch these.

An ophthalmologist told me that his professional org. is lobbying insurance companies to cover these under their "life enhancement" clauses, or something like that. Good luck, I hope your son can get some soon!

You're more than welcome! I should have mentioned that I meant health vs vision insurance; the latter doesn't reimburse very much. The company is lobbying for coverage, as well, which of course makes sense, business-wise.

I think the amazing thing for me is watching these people develop a sudden appreciation of nature. I saw one of these videos where the man's family bought him children's color books and surrounded him with balloons and such, but what really drew his attention was a tree outside of the restaurant across the street, because it had red and green in it. He just stood at the window looking at the tree. I don't know why watching these videos make me so happy. I'm just happy for these people and each time it makes me appreciate color more.

After having watched several of these videos where color blind people first tried these glasses I have the urge to find someone who is color blind and take them to a Sherman Williams paint store, set them down in front of the color swatch display and give them the glasses.
