Funny how the families always seem to expect the person to react strongly to the balloons but they don't......it's natures colors that gets them the most.
Wow. So ein schönes Moment. Wie schön ist eure Familie. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie ist es farbenblind zu sein. Gottes Segen! Greetings from Germany, God bless you all, thanks for sharing. 🎉🎈
The Enchroma glasses were invented by accident by someone trying to make lenses for surgeons using lasers. By coincidence his friend was colour blind and when he tried them on he noticed some orange road cones that he couldn't see before. I really like that story!
I'm only one minute into this and already I'm crying when everybody says it's for all of us! That just resonates with pure love! Because when you're happy I'm happy! You're very wonderful family!
That was so beautiful to watch, the joy on his face from something the rest of us just take for granted, and how grateful he was, bless you Garrett and have a life full of colour !
It must be incredibly overwhelming to begin with. Just occasionally, when the light is really clear and pure, I get a glimpse of what he's seeing. Its like seeing things through fresh eyes. God bless this delightful family
I love the slow reactive people the impressions they are sinking slowly in are the most precious. Their natural discretion and fortitude are admirable. Very moving.
This beautiful young man with such a beautiful loving family and circle of friends seeing color for the first time has made my day. Thank you to the remarkable Holloway family for sharing that moment. It truly is the simple things and The Holloways prove it!
I love watching these. There always seems to be a silent pause right after they put the glasses on. It’s like some sense of awe comes over each person.
He really didn’t know how to describe some of the colors he was seeing. He’d just say to us “what is that?” Also another really cool moment happened a few days later when he saw a McDonalds for the first time😉 he was like wow McDonalds really has a lot going on! 😢 I thought of how many times we’ve been to McDonalds even as a child and he’s never seen it like we’ve seen it till now and he’s 24! Thank you Jesus!
Carol Holloway this is so beautiful , the gift of Color , people take it for granted all the time this makes me so happy to watch , best gift you could have ever given him . Am sure even movies as an experience completely changed , God bless your family 🌈 .
@gararufa helium - we are all made different in His image. The message is about how WE take colors for granted. If we get a cold, that's why we have doctors.
I am so sorry for your loss... Some people who have had near death say that after we pass, we are "whole"... If it is true, your husband has Technicolour vision on another plane! Who knows!!! Take care!!!
I like how on all of these the white people say you're gonna find out I'm black.. (not really) the part I actually like is when the color blind person ignores it and is just taking in sight for the first time.
For years my father thought he was red/green colorblind because both his uncles were severely colorblind, but it just turned out that his cataracts were interfering with his eye's cones. He had the cataracts removed and it cleared his sight up. For shits and giggles I took the Enchroma's Color Blind Test tonight and I scored a perfect Normal Vision. I can't imagine being even slightly color blind. But I'm glad that science has finally found a fix for mild color deficient people. I also understand that they are able to fix a certain kind of deficiency with red tinted contact lenses.
im glad he made that black person joke, because I wanted to also XD. But these videos are usually so emotional, i didn't want to be an ass. I'm black btw, so don't trip
It reminds me of The Wizard of OZ when Dorothy opened the door to Munchkin Land... Very moving. I thank God for the technology that makes this possible. I am overjoyed beyond words. I myself can't see certain shades of brown. I am very lucky. It wasn't bad enough to keep me out of the service. I have often wondered myself if I have been missing out on something. Maybe some different colored people might look different to me. Even with my slight impairment it sounds very exciting.
Some colors he has never seen and didn’t know how to describe. The more her wore them the more he saw. And no colorblind people only see in black and white. The more sunshine there is the more you can see and it was cloudy.
Beg to differ on 'no colorblind people only see in black and white' because my dad only sees in grayscale (achromatopsia) and so did my high school guidance counselor, Mr. Mills.
Hi Carol, Vladimir here with NTD Television. Rella? Never heard that name before. To a dog to. Well hope he loves seeing snow, A diamond in some light. Seeing all the colors. A real rainbow and an some Aurora. More than 1 type. Hope you can get to see one one day. :-)
Or intra-ocular lenses. I just had cataract surgery done which also corrected near and far sightedness - they implanted intra-ocular lenses in my eyeballs. I also didn't realize that cataracts affect the way people see color. I always saw the full spectrum of colors but with the cataract everything started to look dull and dingy and I never even realized it until I had the surgery. It was like taking off dirty sunglasses. The biggest difference for me was the color white! I couldn't wait to get home to see my bedsheets. They were gleaming! I was getting ready to buy new ones because I thought they had gotten old and dingy.
I would like to see someone who is going to get their glasses with a shocking surprise . Someone bragging about their new awesome glasses and telling the person who they are really for to try theses new awesome glasses they just bought . Then when they try them on you get to see what they think about them . Just build up the hype to the point where they hate the glasses until the moment when they try them on . That way there is a true wtf moment .
There is a pamphlet that is included which says read first and it strongly suggest that you not flip the glasses back and forth so that your eyes and your brain adjust quickly. it's unfortunate that it seems everyone else read that pamphlet but you
Patricia Hopey we didn’t open his Christmas gift. We enjoyed the journey of discovery and there has been nothing unfortunate about the blessing of being able to see.
This color blind people, are they black and white only or partial color blind and yea, how does he know to name colors? And how much are this glasses? Happy for u, guy.
there are different types of colorblindness. The majority are red/green colorblind, which is usually those who try the enchroma glasses. That means their eyes are weak to seeing reds and greens. They usually can see blue, yellow, white, black and some basic green and red, but that's it. Reds and oranges are usually faded red/brown. Greens are usually one type of green or yellow. They don't know much about purples or oranges since you need red to see those colors. Enchroma glass's filter the red/green lightwaves so they are easier to see by people with damaged color receptors, just like a prism can filter light into a rainbow that lets you see the colors of the light ray.
james friel he didn’t even know how to describe the real color of blue or purple and shades of green and brown he’d never seen before😢😭Its such a joy to se him looking at things. I caught him looking at a box of marbles like a little boy and it did my heart good! He’d never seen my hazel eyes before and started to cry when he saw the true colors in my eyes. It was awesome!
Funny how the families always seem to expect the person to react strongly to the balloons but they don't......it's natures colors that gets them the most.
That's because nature is the most spectacular of all!!
Yes the balloons are overrated.
"That jacket is crazy"
@@joshpd8090 Well, he was color blind when he bought it. LOL
I think they react to nature and other things because they are better able to compare how they see them now to how they have seen them in the past.
Wow. So ein schönes Moment. Wie schön ist eure Familie. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie ist es farbenblind zu sein. Gottes Segen! Greetings from Germany, God bless you all, thanks for sharing. 🎉🎈
He is adorable. Glad he can see the full world, now.
I still consider these glasses both a miracle and advancement in science.
yet there's still no cure for tinnitus (ears)
100 percent

He's really handsome and those glasses look really good on him. So happy for him!

These make me tear up since they live their lives not knowing what they are missing
And when they finally get to see color they seem overwhelmed
I love watching these. There always seems to be a silent pause right after they put the glasses on. It’s like some sense of awe comes over each person.
It takes that long for the mind to adjust to them, I believe.
Such a nice family! Happy for this young man. He is Loved!
So delighted for you Garrett what a great family you have, you have touched an Irish celts heart ❤♣️
I'm happy for him, and please let him know that he's beyond gorgeous!!!

The family provided before the Lord. See this family made dreams come true. It's the small things that count..And impacts another's life abundantly 👍

It’s hard to watch men cry but it’s so great that they can see colors now 🙏🙏🙏🙏and bless the person who invented them for these folks💕⭐️
He is beautiful.
He cant help commenting the bright yellow jacket. LOVE IT
What a nice guy.
Thank you for sharing that. I wish my late husband had a chance to get a pair. I always feel good when I watch these videos.
I am so sorry for your loss...

If it is true, your husband has Technicolour vision on another plane!
Who knows!!!
Take care!!!
Aww I'm sorry but I bet he is seeing colors now that we've never seen. I just saw the previous message. Yep! Agreed!
so touching! Thank you for letting us participate.
He is so cute and nice. I’m so glad this happened for him.
If he were homely, he wouldn't even deserve to see color. Lol
@@MrCrowebobby He’s a precious person.

I'm happy for him. I partially colorblind my self but I got to see all colors before it happens so.. I'm happy already
The poor thing doesn't live in a very colorful neighborhood... Of course it looks like it's winter time too.
He's hot.
SUCKRPUNCHED and you’re mean. Why would you say that?
@SUCKRPUNCHED lol 😂🤣
@SUCKRPUNCHED fat shaming, huh? What do you look like?
Putting the weight of the OP aside, what does the young man's looks have to do with the miracle of enchroma's glasses?
*fat shaming??? what about hot shaming?!? That should be a thing! :P jk, love you all.
Great
What a great gift... I'm sure everything is overwhelming at first.
Congratulations Garrett. :)))

I have an idea what happens if they can make it into contact lens
@@millenniumman75 gud idea
Or even prescription-grade lenses - covering nearsightedness and colorblindness at the same time.
