They need to include torque specs with their literature. How else do we compare performance? . Just an arbitrary snow throwing distance. Doesn’t tell me much. The seem to hide the details. How many watts/amps is the charger? How long to fully charge the 2 7.5’s when they’re exhausted?

The bottom line is there actually smart batteries if they’re gonna sit around, I would probably just leave them at 50%
But even if you made the mistake and left them fully charged you, will Ashley watch them discharge and turn red at time so don’t worry they’re very smart batteries.
Hi myself like to stop using them a little past when they go to the last bar and it turns red I don’t like draining them 100%. That’s just me. Definitely keep them inside. Don’t keep them in a cold or hot garage or shed. This will damage the batteries for sure.
I keep them in my insulated basement .
      I hope that helped

Finally got to use my EGO Auger Propelled snowblower yesterday after almost no snow in SE Massachusetts for the past year and a half!
The auger really does move this quite well.
You have to adjust the auger because it can almost go too fast lol. We 4 inches of heavy snow and it only got clogged once with some heavy slush.
The heated handles were a nice touch and it did a great job getting down to the bare pavement.
I'd say it threw the heavy stuff about 25-30 ft which was not too bad. Overall I would highly recommend this snowblower

Interesting timing. I really needed one of these last winter when everything was sold out. 22 years without a blower but last year was off the charts and this year is supposed to be too. Just bought the v2 on Monday instead of the 2 stage, and was changing my mind this morning when I realised the 2 stage included self-propulsion. I think for the small difference in price between the v3 and the 2 stage it's probably still better to go big.

I’m picking up my auger propelled on Friday from Ace in Peru Illinois. I was considering buying the beast and then I seen they had a new auger propelled. I have been using my Toro auger propelled for quite a few years and I’m hoping that it works as well as the Toro. Auger propelled is the way to go but you just have to let the auger do the work. In other words don’t try to do the pushing let it do the work.

The problem is that no single stage blower has a self propelled function in anything less than ideal conditions. I'd like to think eventually someone would add powered wheels in the back or some kind of pusher addon that would attach to the blower but that steps into the 2 stage realm a little more. Not too sure of why Ego added heated handgrips other than marketing since you're already wearing gloves.

One of the reasons I didn't pick up the Gen 2 single stage model is because I found the handle to be a little low for me (6'5"). I contacted Ego to see if there were plans to be able to adjust the angle of the handle to accommodate the tall folks, similar to their lawnmowers (not in the plans apparently). Ego has a picture on their website of this Gen 3 model showing how it's propelled, and the overlay looks to show that the angle of the entire snowblower changes when it's being auger propelled. I'm interested in seeing if this is the case during use or not, as I'd be quite interested if it does indeed change the handle angle and height. Currently, the only models where the handle height adjusts are the 2-stage models.

I have a lot of EGO products including Gen 1 of the snow blower. I wish EGO would address what I consider two areas needing improvement. 1. The plastic scrape bar on the bottom. It is always hitting every bump and crack in my concrete driveway and chipping the bar while the handle hits me in the stomach. I had to replace it after only 5-6 uses. Guessing Gen 2 has the same bar set up? 2. The fact that it doesn't fold and stand on end for storage (like their mower does) I'm sure they could design that improvement and it would be a good one.

Any idea how the rubber auger will do on the wet/hard snow left after they plow the streets? Was going to get the steel auger model for that reason but I'd like to have the auger propelled model.

i am in the same boat. even willing to spring for the 2 stage because it is self propelled (plus other obvious benefits), but if the rubber blades can handle “end of driveway” plow leftovers, i would just as soon save the extra $500+... my 6-car driveway is smooth as liza minnelli’s forehead, not a single crack to speak of. the 2-stage feels like overkill for my iowa winter needs, but it is also quite alluring & sooner or later we will get a deep heavy snowfall that would sorta justify the big beast. still, i would love if someone talked me off that ledge and could vouch for the SNT2125ap a bit more. alas, only time will tell with this model, and i’ll be making my purchase in the next 4 weeks at most. why can’t Brooklyn just open her mouth and tell me what i need to know???? 😂

this will be my first ever snowblower, and i know very little. will the 2-stage be appropriate for modest snows of maybe 2-4 inches? i don’t want to bring a sword to a fruit fight, so to speak. i guess if i’m only going to buy one snowblower to last several years, the SNT2405 with the add-on metal skids is the way to go.

@@ebrown112 same here - first time getting a snowblower. I don't want overkill - I'm in NJ and we don't get a lot of big storms (I'm talking over 10in). I'm 56yo and don't want to count on being able to push a single stage. Also don't want to have to shovel the end of driveway because the snow blower can't handle it. The SNT2405 is considerably more $. Just can't decide . . .

The "safety button" stays stuck (in the down position) when I press it to start & the temperature is below 30 degrees. It does eventually pop back after I bring it in the house where it's 70 degrees. I would expect the "safety button" to pop up and down properly even in cold weather b/c it's a snow blower. Is this by design? or is this a bad button? I'll also be calling EGO, if anyone else has this issue LMK TX

I have had two egos now and neither one will run longer than 15-20 minutes if it’s below 30 degrees out. Was borrowing my neighbors gas powered blower to finish until I finally gave in and bought a new gas powered. Didn’t even try for a warranty the second time. Waste of time. This electric crap is a scam.

You're Backwards on your timelines. Steel auger was first on single. Steel auger is the worst. Rubber edged steel is what's been used on every single gas model since they came out on the 80's. It's where they all should've started as the steel only is useless
