1:14:42 They do mention it! Shar wanted a selunite and commanded Viconia to “find the chosen one” and Shadowheart was picked due to her hair being “the color of darkest night” or something to that affect which drives in the importance of that apppearance change she gets :D
Astarion has so many hilarious bits that are so easy to miss, he’s a GOLDMINE of content. And I love how you treat him as basically your bestie even though you’re not romancing him. He deserves a friend like your Tavs.
Jennifer did such a good job with the acting in this. Shadowheart is probably the most engaging NPC ever created. The vibes that she puts out are truly visceral. You did an amazing jobs with the editing Kay. I can't wait for the goblin camp 😁
SHADOWHEART ROMANCE INCOMING?? Ive played this game over ten times and I've romanced Shadowheart every single time so if u end up going for Shadowheart U WILL NOT REGRET IT TRUST ME :D so excited to watch this video!!
I don't know how far along you are in act 1 but I suggest you should try to save Minthara and recruit her in act 2. She gives a lot of great insight on the companions. I remember her roasting Sharran worship as "self-indulgent" which is such an apt way to describe all their talk about pain and loss nonesense.
So the reason Shadowheart asks "That didnt hurt, did it?" Was because if you actually break the canera and examine she bites your bottom lip during the kiss.
Nope, it was discovered it's cause of the Sharran wound unfortunately, apparently there is some cut dialogue that explains this. Btw, if you use a free cam mod the mouths don't even make contact during the kiss, which is kinda funny, so no, the lip bite is not real as much as I wish it was.
the depression link to shadowheart's wound is so interesting - i've noticed that her wound always hurts after you do a "good" act, so for her wound to cause her pain not only reinforces the despair that shar desires but also acts as a Pavlovian response; ie she does any good and she'll be punished, maybe (hopefully?) turning her to shar more fully. (i'm so excited for this playthrough!)
i’m semi with you on the whole showing not telling thing, but i think it works well for bg3 specifically because it emulates d&d. kinda makes it feel like you’re at the table getting a description from the dm
you should totally save her parents if you decide to romance Shart, the epilogue is so cute if you go down that path 1:20:15 I didnt even know it was possible to fail that insight roll lmao, must've rolled a nat 1 or something
So excited for this playthrough! I had a big cheesy smile seeing my comment on the screen when you were talking about the Sharran wound. Your character resisting Durge plus a Shadowheart romance is going to be brilliant! Also i think i saw someone mention that the reason the kiss may have hurt could be the sharran wound? Not sure but i love the concept. Very Rogue from Xmen.
Gale's comment about Shar and Mystra is pretty funny, because if I remember my lore right, the god of magic before Mystra was basically Shar's daughter. She was created accidentally during the battle between Shar and Selune, and is a sort of mix of both of their powers, but she chose to side with Selune and protect the world from Shar
im currently doing a githyanki playthrough where i romance laezel (after romancing astarion 74838 times) and if he says something akin to a confession imma have the same reaction as you when laezel confessed outta nowhere 😭😭😭 WE SHALL NOT FOLD
Mizora is true to her word regarding killing her. If you think about it, I’m sure you know the one instance in the game where you can kill her. I don’t recommend it though.
"wyll just approves of talking to you" is fucking hilarious LOLLLL

Yeah I'm definitely planning on romancing her this run, her scenes so far are really good so I'm excited to see how her arc is with the added romance

Oh she kinky
Howd you see that?

Ooo that is such a cool was to look at that. Shadowheart's story and the different ways it can be interpreted is such a great part of this game!
Omg you killed Mayrina again 😆 poor girl, she has a whole quest in act 3 if you save her in act 1
Shadowheart is brave wanting to be alone with you at night after what happened to Alfira

Oh yeah this run is aiming for her to live happily ever after with my durge so I'm def looking forward to saving the in laws

Shadowheart always distracts me from doing different romances(by different romances i just mean Minthara XD)
The OG romance will always carry some weight over your heart
@@CuriouslyKay very true 😌
As an Early Access player, I've played through this scene probably 20 times in total and I've only failed that Insight check to kiss her just once.
SH and Durge fit together perfectly. Both of them have lost most of their memories.
Danis and Bex are definitely in act 3!
Rewatching this episode now that i have time to sit and actually watch. I LOVE Mizora!
Hi!! You gotta replay the ending to your first playthrough!!! Patch 6 said it worked on laezel romance arhghghtht

Looking forward every weekend to the playthrough video.
Of course now you have to do a third playthrough to romance Karlach. :P

Just COMPLETELY missing an insight check while talking to a cute girl... The realism in this game is unmatched!
You can actually kill mizora before act 3, but there are consequences to that
Why you skippin' so much dialogue?
Outside of Gale's at the beginning I don't particularly remember when I did that, unless you mean like it being edited out?
