The piano black trim on my bmw's center console is my greatest enemy. I swear it has new scratches everytime I breathe on it. I clean it as little as possible and when I do, I always use wet 70/30 microfiber towels. Still has scratches. They're minor and most people don't notice them, but I do.

Thanks so much for this video! I get my car washed once a week, and the car wash staff do a great job everywhere in my car except for this middle console and infotainment screen. I’m not upset: I think they would rather not really touch it so that nothing gets messed up. So now, I know how to supplement with my own products to clean this section specifically!

Color coding helps me out so much when I'm detailing and it also keeps towels, brushes, etc, neatly organized when I'm not using my detailing tools and equipment. Gyeon Interior Detailer is such a good product, makes the cleaning of gloss black trim child's play! Great informative video Pan, spectacular work as always♥!

Sooo Satisfying...My son and I have done some 'Kindness' Details for Friends and Family and we found when things are really kinda gross, have a small bucket of clean water to rinse the Detail Factory Brushes out as we moved around the interiors. Lots of Towels and our 'go to' is Lithium Inner Space as we finish up. Perfecto'.

I always enjoy watching interior detailing. Driving a clean interior is a must! I usually bring those rubber inserts for the cup holder and cubby inside and give them a good wash in my sink with warm soapy water, just to make sure they are really clean, then dry them with a microfiber towel and put them back. Sadly i have to put my gatorade bottle in my cup holder upside down because the bottle is too wide and the neck is the only thing that fits, so i get leakage sometimes! Drives me nuts! Love your interior videos!

Excellent as always. I love these short and sweet videos. I'm a huge fan of the 303 line of products especially the 303 Protectant. Gives that OEM look but adds the UV protection. For the infotainment and navigation surfaces I like to use a IPA mix at a 1 part isopropyl alcohol to 5 parts distilled water. So far it works like a charm when combined with a short nap microfibre towel.

I guess at this point in my life, I have not had to do a “wet” cleaning to my front interior surfaces. Usually a light mist on a microfiber cloth will do a great job. Exceptions are the rubber inserts in cup holders, etc.. with that said, I ALWAYS get great tips from Pan! Awesome as always!

But the rinse less onr does a great job for everything including glass, mirrors and infotainment screen. Although I don’t have any piano black surfaces in my car

If you are talking about gloss black (piano black) painted trim, you'd use a polish like for paint. If you are talking about all the other plastics, unpainted, there aren't many miracles unfortunately, as you can't bring back missing plastic material.
For light scuff marks on door sills, you can use a bit of APC and a magic eraser, but test on an inconspicuous area first.
I demonstrate this in this video: ruclips.net/video/8QTGLsmGIw8/видео.htmlsi=GqzW7zoumDoUOvlc&t=303

This is maybe a strange question but with the water-based surface protection products, what happens if any water lands on your interior? An umbrella dripped on the trim in my car and when the water dried there was a strange strain left behind (not simply a water stain). The car had been at the dealership for repairs and they cleaned it before returning it. Now it's with me, I'm planning to do its regular clean myself, but I don't want to risk weird stains every time it rains!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  11 месяцев назад +1

For beginners, a good idea is to go with a ceramic spray coating that is a simple spray on, wipe off. Can last 6-12 months. One of the best being Gyeon CanCoat. I have a full series on how to wash, prep and apply it here:
      Part 1 (wash): ruclips.net/video/dwY2m8pOgFE/видео.htmlsi=6fPSwnaGqrdRcv9R
      Part 2 (application): ruclips.net/video/VnE0b0nsiMU/видео.htmlsi=A-HAptchaKD6xCaX
      Part 3 (maintenance): ruclips.net/video/NDJG17gzwhM/видео.htmlsi=VBtdy16lQIlzwS6e
After that, if you want more durability in terms of years, you'd apply a full blown coating, the ones in a glass bottle. For beginners, here are a few great options:
DIY Detail 3 year graphene coating: bit.ly/43HLlxs
CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 (2 year coating): bit.ly/42LA5RR
Gyeon One EVO (2 year coating): bit.ly/3uFdVnA
All three are top tier brands and super easy to apply. I hope this helps.
