I love Dr Fry, to bad they did such a poor job on the audio,
i agree about the audio, too soft
They don't capitalize on her voice well enough. This purr of an accent she has can't really be enjoyed if she isn't talking clearly.
This was a nice topic. Good enough to make up for the audio. Great job.
Fantastic! These videos inspire young people to study math.
More videos with Hannah please! :-)
Thx man
I love how you talk with your hands
HANNAH FRY IS FIT
I'd love to see a remix video featuring your "Driving Down the Motorway Dance" at 1:00 looped over and over.
turn the volume up
I came here to oogle at hanna Fry and came away with a better understanding of soccer. I am so confused.
I think Vsauce did a video on this. It's green because green light reflects the best in a mirror. This is why there is always a green tint when you're in an elevator with mirrors on all sides.
Its times like these, when I feel glad that I have got a sound amplifier...
i liked the video a lot, it made me think on interesting stuff.
A little constructive criticism for the channel is to try increase the volume when you have people talking like this lovely lady
she's kinda gorgeous.. and clever
Go watch the video where she's talking about monopoly strategy. Holy hell
That's DOCTOR Hanna Fry.
Some people here don't seem to know where their volume buttons are. Because of that, I was able to hear Hannah just fine.
waaaaaaaaaw I enjoyed the FCB part alot. lets see what will pep do with Bayern.
Yes.
So if slowing down can cause traffic jams, why do they have lower speed limits when there is heavy traffic on the motorways? Surely they should up the limit to 100 so that everyone can breeze through, rather than bunching up and going slower?
... 1 month ago I learned about the avalance effect. Has James May addressed this ever( Tg, ML, etc ) ?
interesting
I have every volume level maxed with my headphones in, and I can't hear her. The title has me piqued, though. Can it be remastered?
I usually listen to her videos like that. This voice is something else.
my pc comes fully equipped with a volume button. You must have been shortchanged.
Maths! (E=ˠM˳C²)∞ the Lorentz contraction of space and time is between the energy and mass. The greater the energy the greater the contraction of space and the slower time will run. Mass will increase relative to this and each ref-frame can be seen as a vortex in space formed by the rate that time flows. C² is light radiating out in all directions forming a sphere that can be squared to form the future probability. The brackets represent the boundary condition of the ref-frame within infinity
Before more people embarrass themselves trying to be clever, Maths is a proper British pronunciation of what Americans refer as Math.
Is that because maths is an abbreviation of mathematics, which is plural?
The fish thing is like walking with a friend both are following each other you end up turning
holy hell its Dr Hannah Fry O.O
Have you seen the math/maths episode? Even they say they shouldn't say maths its just habbit.
Please elaborate
Barcelona style is boring, having possession of the ball through out most of the game doesn't mean they play beautiful football all the time. Plus that rule of keep on passing and being patient only works beautifully if the the opponent was unintelligent enough to fall into that trap and move around Barcelona players and give them the gap they need, other opponents can just give a solid defensive performance and stick to their position giving Barcelona no gap at all, then take advantages of counter attacks, and that's how the game would be more likely to be boring and end up with a draw.
I'll take a draw over a loss any day.
This is also only the first evolution of the strategy. Like all strategy, there must be offensive and defensive variations.
Damn. I love her voice!
So wait till a good number of people have guessed the number of sweets in a jar, average it and take that as your guess? The more people who have guessed before you, the more accurate your answer would be?
The "Avalanche Effect" has nothing to do with what causes the first car in the sequence to decelerate, because one car's deceleration does not constitute a "jam." It still holds true.
If you have no incentive to guess correctly this means other people don't either. You will say 100trillion billion million sweets and maybe another would say -100trillion billion million. Obviously the experiment is made with people that actually do want to guess right, but the no-incentive experiment might be interesting too.
Here's a question for you Head Squeeze: What colour does a mirror have?. Please answer this . Thanks
That is because 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything
4:50 james may facepalm
it sounds okay on a stationary pc in a semi quiet room but on mobile devices where there is a lot of outside noise i can't hear her properly =/
Sound is really low on this video.
At full volume and still can't hear loud enough.
Liked it just couldnt hear it evan on full volume
Basics, sort the low audio. Otherwise, fantastic as usual.
That could be the glass.
audio is a little low
It sounds as if Barcelona has invented a new sport, completely consistent with the rules of football but rejecting many of its traditions, and a team playing the new sport tends to beat teams that are playing the old sport.
Can't watch it .it doesn't load
Ahh, Hannah Fry, the one that got away.
I like how she says Twitter.
sometime ago i felt better when my friends realized that i was smarter than them
The audio budget:
Headsqueeze, mind a reupload with improved audio?
The defending philosophy is not true, Barcelona defend with a zone-based defence at the back and a more man marking system in the midfield. Their tactic is to force opposition attackers back by dropping the deep holding midfielder usually Busquets or Song to enable time for the further players to press either Iniesta, Fabregas, Xavi, Messi. If the opposition player is wide then the emphasis is placed on Barcelona's winger to pull back and negate the backwards option to strand the player.
WIth headphones, she's loud and clear. I blame the overabundance of ambient noise near most computers.
i can hear it just fine ?
I have trouble concentrating on the words coming out of that pretty face because of the preoccupation on admiring the beauty
Say motorway again, please...
If any team defended like that they would get destroyed, all the player would have to do is chip the ball over the surrounding Barca players to one of his teammates and he can go one on one practically because everyone is way out of position!
Once again you've created a really informative and interesting video, Head Squeeze! :) Also, if you want to study the topic of simple-minded creatures unknowingly working together to accomplish fascinating stuff further, Google "swarm intelligence".
I need the maths on my chances of marrying Hannah.
I know this is commenting late, but I just realized that she was referring to American soccer.
+Eliran Sobel Football. The game that is played with a ball and your feet. :P
+Yndostrui I agree, but my dialect calls it soccer. I *wish* we called it football, since it *does* make more sense...
Well, guess what, the word "soccer" comes from the England anyway. It comes from the word "Association" as in "Association Football". It means the same goddamn thing as "Football". The UK just made it a big issue because the High Class made the Working Class use "soccer" in the 70's, and they didn't like being told to use the "Queen's English".
You can hear her fine, it's just that she's whispering that makes you think that she's hard to hear. It instinctively makes you want to turn the volume up or something. However it is her fault, she shouldn't be using her whispering voice.
I can't hear you on max volume.
win
I don't have Vulcan hearing...please reupload with better audio.
A LITTLE?!
I can't hear it!!!
volume is super low
i can hear her just perfectly...
works well with political systems and the press
*why are we whispering?* lol jk just teasing.
i had to go in to my audio deck and crank my vol to 150% to hear this. plz fix your audio
Dat "Everything about her"
Eventually Barca (or any rational agent) will adapt.
Eventually: Team A knows that Team B knows that Team A knows that Team B ....
How can you upload something without listening to is yourself?
Pretty, smart, redhead and understands football.
I can't hear!!!!
great video but can you speak a little louder next time :)
Couldn't hear half of what was said, such a shame.
Not even watchable, audio is so quiet I can't hear it, and I'm not maxing out the volume of everything on my computer just to watch one video.
Math not maths! Lol
... never cared for soccer .. "football" ... Hannah makes it interesting though...
way too quiet. What?
wait why is she suing MILES per hour not kilometers?
The UK still uses Miles for road distances.
Well, KM has such a good lawyer, she wouldn't get _anywhere_ with _her_.
Are you offended?
It's justa hunch but it might have something to do with her being British...
Could you not fix the video and reupload it? Making each viewer do the work isn't exactly the way to go on a big channel.
Nope, it doesn't work like that. That are more people who make an honest guess than people giving BS answers on purpose. In much the same way, so is why Wikipedia and other wikis work so well.
No, maths. I suppose you'll be saying soccer not football next!
Is the volume low for anybody else?
Benedikt Danting lol me too
headset max, windows sound max, youtube player max - still cannot understand her properly.
Accelerating and decelerating because the car in front is doing the same doesn't cause traffic Jams. This is a prime example of the logical fallacy known as "Post hoc ergo propter hoc" The car at the front of the Jam has slowed down or stopped for another reason, e.g: Poor city planning, Horrible accident, Breakdown, Roadworks or something entirely different. The traffic jams are caused by a bottleneck it has nothing to do with an avalanche effect!
Or because it is a stupid caravan...
SPEAK LOUDER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else struggling to hear her voice?
Why the heck is she whispering?
My god you're so quiet.
I can't hear you! Speak up please!
Why is she whispering?
why are you whispering?
u deaf bro?
you're too quiet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could she be slightly more silent? She's way too loud.
