I picked up this crusty zero turn a little while ago along with another lawn mower. it was $200 for the pair. Lets take a look what's wrong with this Poulan pro zero turn, and have some fun.
That's awesome, a $100 for a zero turn that only needed a fuze to get it running? Your gonna make bank on this unit. Great vid as always
Thank you so much. Yea the guy had no idea what was wrong with it and was moving. He just wanted stuff out of his yard.
Alex, you struck gold on that machine. A 50 cent fuse and its running. That engine sounds like new. I dont know what it brings for money in your area, but i see hundred dollars bills in your future. I hope the John Deere works out the same way .✌💲💲🇺🇸
I still can’t believe it with the fuse, but I’ll get some parts together so we can get this machine up and going like it’s supposed to. I would guess this would be close to $1000 in my area all cleaned up and running good. Fingered crossed in the Deere as well Roger. Thank you as always for the amazing support.
@@freedommowers640 No problem Alex, this a amazing channel and i can see your channel gaining alot of support in the near future brother! ✌😎🇺🇸
Nice little zero turn mower
Alex I could see that guy pop up and so “No wayyyy!” Lol
Right!! Still not sure as to what caused it to blow that fuse but it’s been good ever since. Thank you for stopping by 😎
Wow that is an Awesome find!!!!
I’m really excited to hear that engine purring.
It don't get any better than that man yeh buddy 👍
Yea I can’t believe how well this machine runs for how bad it looked picking it up. Going to see how well we can get it fixed and cleaned up. Thank you for stopping by.
you came out good on that one.
Fingers crossed the hydros work well after being warmed up. Thank you for stopping in :)
Wish i could come across one like that. Wow
I’m always searching the market for stuff but I certainly come across a lot of stuff that just isn’t worth fixing either. I just hope for the best and try to make a good choice when buying a non running machine.
Yeah me too
Nice job Alex, you lucked up on this one brother. Every time I work on anything with hydros on it I always forget to disengage the release when I try to pull it out. 🤣👍
I like those racing slicks on the rear end. LoL!!
Right!! Those levers get me every time. I’ve got a new mini tire changer to try out hopefully get these drag slicks changed out on the rear. I think this mower just needs a lot of little small things to get it squared away, but so far I can’t get over how good it runs. Thanks for coming by brother.
Anytime brother, hey I have one of the HF mower tire changers and love it, it does a great job of it.
Good deal on the Poulan Pro, welcome back.
Thank you. I had a big fail last year with a hydro walk behind that the pump went out on, so I’ll take this one as a win so far. Thank you so much for the support!!!
Great buy for sure 😊
Good luck with it
Thank you so much. Keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out good in the end and get a nice functional machine for the next owner.
LOL 😂 Alex a blown fuse
You should make real good money on that one. Great video my friend 🔧👍
I couldn’t believe it Artie. I’m super excited to see how this one is going to turn out.
That poor little machine wants to live.
Just found your channel. Looking forward to more
Welcome aboard!
That briggs looks just like my Kohler 22 on my zt 50 cub zero..Had to replace the cooling fans on mine.I also pulled both hydros and replaced fluid..Been running good for 7yrs are better..You did good on that unit..Thanks for sharing..❤
Bummer, Alex! I recently became interested in ZT and was hoping for a part 2. That’s ok - I understand. I suspected you got it cleaned up and someone made you an offer.
I would have thought you could sell it all restored for $1200-$1500 and double what you had into it, including a day’s labor.
Even though there’s no Part 2, I came away with a great algorithm for assessing the starting electrics on a new machine. Thx! 🔧👍
Awesome fix sir
Thank you 🙏
You should make a video on everything you own. Would love to see all those tractors
I might make a video soon just showing the mower graveyard out here. I have a lot to bring back to life for sure haha.
You cant believe what Alex has for projects! Thanks for watching and stay tuned.

You got a good deal for $200 even for parts
That looks to have the same Hydro Gear sealed drive hydro motors as my Gravley ZT XL 18-40. I would like to find a video or literature where it shows the exact amount of oil my sealed hydros use because I want to change the oil in them. Great score on that zero turn.
I’m going to try and find out some info on what these units take. I’m sure they could use some fresh fluid. Thank you so much for stopping by the channel 🙏
Most manufacturers wont tell you what they take in ounces but will tell you how much below what the fluid level is from the top of the vent tube. Its like its a big secret.👍🇺🇸
Thank you for the video
Thank you for the support 🙏🙏😎
New subscriber and going back and catching up on the vids you have made. Great work from a fellow tarheel!! I live near Hickory NC in western foothills.
Thank you so much for the support. That’s awesome to have a fellow tarheel. 😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
A great deal right there alex glad it was only the fuse that caused it . But i wonder what popped it another good upload brother 👍 🇺🇸
I'm wondering that as well, but so far it seems to be working just fine. I'm wondering if someone was working on it and just shorted it out. thank you for stopping by!!!
@@freedommowers640 your welcome. I know the ignition switch is working on that one you have but with my personal riding mower I picked up free a couple years ago back it kept popping the fuse because it was the wrong ignition switch on there and the tabs to plug into didn't line up to what they were supposed to go to had to get a new one and solved that problem, but it's a mystery on that one but hey it works now 😎
check the switches on the brakes
Tires are shot too!
it looks similar to my Husqvarna CZ4817
AYP made husqvarna and Poulan pro. They are most likely the same machine just different color and name. Thank you very much for sharing.
Hey friend, your videos are not loud enough. I don't know if you have the volume turned down on your mikes or what. Thank you.
Thank you. I’ll try and work with the audio in future videos.
Just got this exact mower for free if you still have it is there anyway possible you could share a picture of the wiring around the machine that would be so helpful for me lol
I wish I had it still around. It sold a while back.
When will we see part 2?
Sadly I had someone that I know come and pick it up the way it was. They wanted to fix it on their own. I have a couple more zero turns that will be coming up in the future though.
SCORE!!!!
Right!!! Thank you!!!
Im Sorry BUT that 7.5 with corrosion all in it should have been replaced too! HOLY HELL OCD TRIGGER WARNING! I get youre just flipping it But come on man do IT PROPERLY. i always replace things like that cause its a liability on you if that corrosion is whats making that 7.5a into a 50a fuse and it BURNS, ESP since you posted this video online showing this repair. Also youre right theres no way it was just a fuse, they dont pop for no reason! work it out a bit i promise you'll find a reason for it to have popped lol
I agree 100%. I should have shown it getting changed out and what I had found. I am still learning, and I wanted to show what I did to correct the issue, but I had someone else that wanted it, and said they would take on the issues it had. I did find a positive wire that had a small bare spot that had contacted the frame. I corrected the issue with heat shrink, and replaced the fuse with a new one as well as put electrical grease in the contacts to the fuse holder. I appreciate you watching and I will continue to try and improve my troubleshooting as well as showing things more in depth.
@@freedommowers640 I actually do the same thing thats why I got on you and I appreciate you taking my feedback positively instead of as an attack! You've got me seriously thinking about starting my own channel on this kind of thing even if it doesn't pay out I can at least help more people learn to maintain, and repair their own machines.
