I picked up a Husqvarna zero turn a few weeks ago that would not start or even turn over with the key. Lets take a look at what needs to be repaired on this lawnmower and get it back running good again.

I have a 5424 zr. identical with a 24 hp Kohler. Great machine. I paid $1200.00 with 181 hours on the mower and less on the engine. Former owner ran it out of oil. Best mower that I've ever owned.
Heck yea. So far it seems like a great mower. I think the kohler twins are great as well with proper maintenance. Thank you for the support 😎🇺🇸

I actually learned some things. Excellent. The original oil level looked too low to even try running it, but the engine sounded good.

Alex i think a zero turn as nice as that is would easily bring $1500 in today's inflated market. That is less than half of a new one and the hours are not that high. Fully serviced and ready to go, i would think some landscaper would pay that with the Kawasaki engine as a selling point as well! Goodluck Alex. ✌🇺🇸

$200 - what an amazing deal! I’m seeing beat up ZT’s in my area asking $300-500. I haven’t worked on one yet but that’s my next step up.
I got the Topdon BT100 battery load tester and have never looked back. Small, easy to use, fast and does everything I would want it to do at a reasonable price when I bought it a couple years ago. The printed instructions aren't all that great, so I pretty much figured it out by doing, and it's not that difficult, even for me (who had never used a battery load tester before). I highly recommend this one. By the way, I found out about it on Jeremy's MowerMedic1 channel.
Great mower turned out great and the good was it wasn't too bad to get working nice job u can make a good profit for your time

I have always had good luck with Kawasaki. Strong reliable engines with maintenance.

love the vids! quick question, recently painted the back wheels on my mower and i put them back on and now when i spin one back wheel the other spins the opposite way. what did i do wrong?
Thank you. I wonder if when you put the wheels back on they axle key fell out? That would be the only thing I can think of.

I do feel blessed. I check the marketplace regularly, and have to move fast if anything comes up.
Could you have just done the bypass with the battery instead of the jumper pack?
Was that a solid wire (as opposed to stranded) that you used to backprobe the starter solenoid connector to start the machine?
Why did the brake safety switch fall out (besides the jolt the deck took) - was the locking tab worn or some other reason? Could you modify it to prevent that from happening again?
I would paint faded with blk paint and touch up the orange paint

How do you find these deals man?! I'm trying to find a fixer-upper and I can't find one for less than $500 near me. Teach us how you sourced so many machines!
I could really use that mower because mine is just old and falling apart. I not only mow my small yard but my neighbors yards as well. And to bad you are so far away. Man I could do a lot of good with that machine.
I have a 15hp twin and it starts as easy or easier than that one. even after sitting for winter. (Of course I dain the fuel from it but you know...)

I agree. I don’t usually like having them like that and I want to see if I can find a set. The only upside to having the guards off is that the grass won’t collect in there, but yes it’s a hazard.
What did you use on the grey plastics?
I cleaned them with dawn and a scotch brite pad. After drying I used a vinyl/plastic restore spray.

What is a brand you recommend for zero turns? I’ve been debating between JD, bad boy and toro. I’ll be using it to cut 1-5 acres regularly. Thank you in advance!
I had a gravely ztx 42. Its was a great homeowner zero turn.
