Bombardier built a beast of a shortfield plane with a long list of special flight capabilities. The A220 has oversized state-of-the-art wings and engines as big as the RB211-535's on a 757. It is a unique and very powerful aircraft intended to accelerate and jump from short runways then clear tall obstacles while carrying transcontinental fuel and a heavy payload. Ask Delta pilots if the A220 can outfly and outclimb the 757 on takeoff... Then ride it doing full throttle from John Wayne, London City or on a rainy day, and you'll feel it.
