Leader class premium Megatron(2007)
My favorite transformer I had as a kid was my battle blade bumblebee, have you made a video on this one yet?
The ROTF and MPM figures may be better in terms of screen accuracy, engineering, and display, but the older figures still possess a nice playability not seen in years apart from the occasional new releases for the simpler lines.

My childhood Optimus Prime toy right here. I played with this so much that the smokestacks, weapon and fingers all snapped off. But the toy still looks and poses great today. And miraculously, the electronics still work.

This was one of my dream figures when I was a kid. Couldn't afford it back then but luckily I managed to get the reissue. It stands proudly on my shelf :)
Man it amazes me to this day that this figure is still holding up to today's standards of transformers!!!

To this very day it's still is a kickass figure and one of the most imposing Optimus there are, also it still is my favorite Optimus prime and the first transformer figure I got when I was 4
This Optimus came in a “Premium” edition back on 2007 which came with a closer movie-accurate head with pointy ears. Love the chrome on this version too.
Regardless of how good the studio series and masterpiece figures are, I still hold the 07 figures deer to me including that terrible Barricade toy. This Optimus was one I miss out on, this and the voyager one looks interesting

My elder brother had this figure and surprisingly its elecrronics still work just bought the mpm optimus a few days ago and kept both the figures side by side prooves how takara and hasbro's engineering evolved

I had the Nightwatch Optimus Prime repaint , unfortunately it broke but it gives me so much memory and hopefully I’ll get this mold again but very expensive right now at Ebay
I used to have this toy, absolutely loved it but gave it to some younger family members. This is staggeringly nostalgic for me, I miss the big lug.
Another solid review, PVP! :D It’s such a shame I never picked this guy up back in the day as I really do miss how plastic toys felt way back in the day; strong, and sturdy with amazing, thick, heavy, ratcheting joints, and absolutely satisfying, snapping parts (honestly those are some of my favorite sounds of all time! I could listen to them for hours), and I’m glad to see that this Optimus Prime has hold up really well ever after almost 1-1/2 decades later! I think the only thing I don’t like about this figure other than it not being not quite film accurate is the auto-morph gimmick for revealing the head, and that’s mainly because I hate the gear mechanism when the head lifts up, or down, it sounds godawful to me, and I do worry about it wearing down overtime (that, and I think the figure is a bit too kibble-y, and could use just a bit more articulation, but that’s okay), other than that, this is truly a fantastic, well-built figure, and the Vehicle Mode is where this guy really shines! Even though I never got this guy when he first came out, he is still one of my favorite Optimus Prime figures of all time! Oh, and I think I’m fine with figures having playable gimmicks as long as they don’t hamper said figures’ articulations too, terribly much (of course, any toy that has electronics should always have an on/off switch). ;)
It was Christmas of 2009 I was 10 years old when I opened up my Christmas present revealing the revenge of the fallen Optimus prime leader class figure. Ever since the first movie came out I wanted a leader class figure of Optimus prime and I got one and man I fell in love with that toy not only was it Optimus prime but to me it was the most movie accurate toy I’ve ever had. I played with that toy for years, I’m 25 years old and still have him. I did buy the ufo annular trailer when I was 17 or 18, for my figure to have the dark of the moon feels. Still have that to and it looks fantastic with my figure. I still love my leader class figure and will keep him for many more years.
Duuuude! I could only ever thirst for this figure when I was younger, I really wanted him! Managed to get a second hand version missing parts about a decade later, and then I bought another one that had some parts I needed and merged the two together to have a near complete version. Such a fun figure, I miss having such well built, well designed figures for such a good price.
I did the same, I'm only missing the missile!
Geez, what a throw-back.. The one I have is literally from 2007, a month or so before the live-action movie actually came out. Thanks to a friend of mine I got this figure from Bot-Con along with the protoform Prime & Starscream figures. I'll be happy to mess with my figure when it's sent to me in the mail from my mum~ lol

Ah yes, brings me so much nostalgia. I do own all of the og 2007 toys, only those that appear in the movie. I do miss the gimmicks of light and sound, it brings a unique feel to the toyline.

Ah I fondly remember getting this guy as a birthday present back in the day. Made a little cardboard version of his energon blade.
Had this figure since release, only bayformer optimus ive bought, and it still looks good on the shelf with his brethren 15 years later.

I remember having this guy and the Megatron that came out with him, coolest toys I ever had.
this is transformers that transition from blocky g1 and armada to more humanoid and sentient..so respect given to predecessor

I have a ROTF leader Optimus Prime which is the most accurate out of the Bayverse “True” Leader class Primes. I don’t think the electronics works anymore since it aged but still in fair condition.
NightSlash2020 was the reason I bought this figure back in the day.

When I was a kid, I couldn't afford this figure. But I had a knockoff version without electronics but the has the same Automorph feature.

i enjoyed the original a ton and i gave it to my little brother to wnjoy aswell over the years i had lost the shoulder pieces the gun and my figure had always had a defect where the toes literally would not stay in place i also for some reason put pineapple stickers on the sides of the truck mode but i loved it and so does my lil brother what a fun figure

This was the figure that started it all for me. I had a few toys before but this was what got me into collecting and I felt like I just had to get the other characters to accompany him. But I've since sold him and has been replaced with the MPM.
I remember this version of Peterbilt 379 Optimus Prime. It was an okay figure, but he didn't look movie model-accurate in both truck and robot modes.
I feel really lucky to have snatched this for $20 online. 🤣

The 07 Movie Voyager was also a good figure. Much more streamlined than this version, at the cost of wearing the entire hood on his back.

The best Optimus Prime figures are the rotf Leader & Hunt for Decepticons Voyager Optimus. But this is also their best because it had a great transformation.
Still have the original. It’s missing the main cannon, a smoke stack and the toes/ heel refuse to stay in the correct spot but it’s still one of my favorite figs I have.
Prime! I wished i picked this up, i had no idea there was a reissue. 😭😭 i remember my cousin had the nightwitch version of this toy back in 07 and i always wanted it for myself in this color scheme.
The only thing that shocked me is.. hasbro actually have found the way to flip out the hands without having hollow parts on the arms

The night watch version was and still is on of my earliest memories of a toy and pure joy from plastic lol and like the other guy said I never set this thing down so the smokestacks and weapon have absolutely vanished 😢
I picked it out of our basement the other day and the lights still work 😂 I also realized I never transformed him fully all those years, after probably 100+ times of forcing the toes out I slid that foot and saw almost 2 decades of dust in that mechanism 😂😂

i actually just got this figures older counterpart the original leader optimus and i have to say its one of the best figures in my collection allthough one of his smokestacks did come of but i put it back on with a bit of glue and its a treat to have
sadly though my figure doesnt have his blaster but honestly im happy with or without the blaster its still a good figure in my eyes

What makes this my favorite Movie Optimus figure is the fun and NOT headache-inducing transformation.
That little part where you went on about how you don't really see spring loading on transformers anymore just made me realize that Transformers nowadays are just glorified action figures. They aren't toys anymore. Look at the past few toylines: WFC, Combiner Wars, and Titans Return, no real play features to them. But look back a few years at the Animated and Movie toylines, you had Mechtech, Automorph, and(dare I mention it) Human Alliance figures. Almost every figure back then had some kind of play feature to them. Nowadays it's just: They transform, that's it oh and you get some accessories

I miss fun gimmicks on figures too, honestly. I didn't have many as a kid but I had Vector Prime and Starscream from Cybertron, and Energon Optimus. I still regret getting rid of those figures, and I got the two Cyberverse Officer-Class figures to compensate. And while the voice features on those figures aren't great, they still have fun auto-morph gimmicks for their weapons and Optimus's armour looks fantastic. I do hope that maybe we can see more stuff like that in the main line in the future, maybe if the Beast Wars re-issues are received well so we can at least see missile launching gimmicks? Eh.

I had that one optimus prime where you press a button and a shitload of weapons pop out. I don’t think it transformed but I loved that thing.
