The Asari are an Alien race that consist entirely of females. They can take the genetic information from any organic being and use it to give birth to new Asari. Liara T'Soni is the child of an Asari who took the genetic information from another Asari, therefore, her "father" is technically female. Hope that clears things up.
Her voice is so soothing. Love just listening to it. As Lightning, her voice really fit the character.

i didnt know cause i play the games in japanese and watch the anime in japanese with english subs like it was surposed to be watch and played. naruto dub voice acting is the worst i have ever watched.

I actually think Ali Hillis fits pretty well for the voice of Black Cat...0_o
Liara and Lightning....bet no other VA could have made them more iconic. ^_^ And every time I play the original Kid Icarus and get to the end scene, it's like hearing Ali speak when Paluntena's text-only line pops up.
She fits Lightning the best! She brings Lightning alive! Nobody can replace that.
One of the only few English voice actresses that is perfect for anime dubs.
For me the best are Palutena, Liara and Lightning.

What a pity that Ali HilIis didn't came back for voicing Palutena but Brandy Kopp did a very good job in both Super Smash Bros For Wii U & 3DS.

Ali is the only Palutena.
Ali pulled off some amazing dialects and managed to be amazing in most of her career. You can occasionally hear Liara shine through, it seems to be her 'I don't know on certain inflections' default. Minor at best. She is an amazing voice actor and respect is due. You try to talk in 12 different voices (personas) and NOT let something of yourself through; it's damn hard.

I gotta an idea for 1 of Ali's future video game roles:she voices a hot dangerous armed beauty around her 20s like 24 or 25, she resembles the famous Michiko Malandro of Michiko e Hatchin as an inspiration in the second game(hopefully rated teen) of Knuckles The Echidna (anyone heard of or remember Knuckles Chaotix for the 32X in '95?) & the two allies would be like little echidna brother figure & protective big human sister figure for each other & while in Japanese, Ali's future Sonic role could be done by Akemi Okamura who is famous for voicing Nami of One Piece.
So what do you Sega fans think of that idea for Ali Hillis? Also just imagine a funny cutscene of hearing Ali(Akemi in Japanese) yelling at Sonic when playing "Michiko" after kicking him in between his legs.

In FF13- 2 and Lightning Returns. she makes lighting sound like a robot. If Lightning is on some divine mission, wouldnt you think she should sound more passionate and zealous? Or perhaps, sounding like a mindless robot makes more sense in that scenario.
In Lightning Returns, Bhunivelze got rid of her emotions which is why she acts that way.

william sullivan No actually, in reality, Lightning made herself that way to coup with the fact that her parents died (revealing in FFXIII-1) and she alone was looking after serah growing up. She convinced herself with logic and felt that her youth with making her weak. Play Lighting Returns til the end and you'll understand.
