Fun fact: Mordin's facial wrinkles and squinting were made after Clint Eastwood to give him a more "experienced" appearance compared to the other Salarians.

Um Illusive Man is clearly modeled after a younger Martin Sheen. (who also does the voice)

I just watched Apocalypse now... yes, there's a resemblance, but the skull shape and bone structure are clearly different between Sheen and Illusive Man. It's clear he's made to look like Sheen, but he wasn't sculpted from his face, just styled after him.

Got the chance to meet Mark Meer at a con a few years ago. He's genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. He gave the guy infront of me in line a new ringtone: "I'm commander Shepard and this is my favorite ringtone on the Citadel". His Shepard cosplay was also fantastic!

The unknown for Zaeed looks really spot on. I know Robin Sachs voiced him but I thought he was the character model too. Robin passed in 2013. At the time one of the Facebook Mass Effect Multiplayer groups held a tribute for him was a helluva good time. We ran gold and platinum levels with just 'Jessie' and incendiaries was crazy fun.

@@argosbrave6415 I'm not unaware of the "complexities" of Jack's character. Every villain/arsehole ever has those, whether you learn them or not. That doesn't excuse them from judgement. My verdict on Jack, all things considered, is still "genocidal idiot".

Seth Green and Yvonne Strahoski are the only models/actors I knew from other works before playing Mass Effect.
While I immediately recognized Yvonne Strahoski the first time I saw Miranda I have never guessed Jeff was modeled after Seth Green until I saw this video.

Yvonne (Miranda) is gorgeous.
Shepard and Samara look so much alike to the original. I know Yvonne Strahovsky was the model for Miranda but they sort of changed her face a bit in the game, broader for the most part than Yvonne's face.

Is there no face model for Ashley, you mean they made her from scratch. If that's the case, seems she was designed to be perfect. Some fans hated that she let her hair down in the third game because Jack grows out her hair nobody bats an eye, but Ashley let's her hair down & everyone loses their mind

No one, that's why she changed so much in ME3
She has a generic appearence like regular NPCs in ME series. She just has a unique voice but the actor plays another female with a name on Feros.

ME3 she looks completely different but it's still her and same voice actor.

Mass effect is a very good saga, with all these faces shown from the second game they should try to make a movie with the real people maybe showing some acting skills if they don't know and it sure would be a success, Shepard vs the illusive man :-).
But EA ruined the saga.

Fun fact: in the character creator, last two facial shapes for FemShep (called "race" in save) are race_Liara and race_Ashley, most popular eye shape is also Liara's, so you can create their features for Shepard.
I'm pretty sure Ash was modeled after Erica Cerra. More specifically, her character, Jo Lupo, from Eureka.

There are tons of actors who play extras and little background roles in movies, TV, commercials etc., it's a wonder we don't find more unnamed models/actors characters are based off.
