I actually cried when I had to kill zeke and in the good ending i cried when i had to kill off cole. It is like as men in black 3 said where there is death there will always be death.
The Evil Karma ending is so lame. The Beast/John is extremely powerful, and more knowledgeable than Cole. Its pathetically obvious they made John give his powers to Cole just for the sake of Cole staying the man character. John: Cole I can't do this anymore, I'm tired Cole: But John, after you destroyed New Empire City, traveled all this way to find me, and killed millions in the process, you're just NOW saying you can't do this anymore? John: I said I'm tired
+Cody_Diamond Confirmed by sucker punch team: John was a pussy. Damn u can confirm that in infamous1 aswell. he was tired of killing people and shit, infamous1 and comics shows that John is a pacifist. FIST!
Zeke wasn't a Conduit, yet he stood by Cole throughout all his decisions, good or bad. Friendship is important, but come on. Millions of people. And he personally made a final goodbye, even choking up at the end. Nix and Kuo both also made the right choice in the end. Zeke didn't even want Cole to know he had the plague, thinking it would only bother and distract him
Amechi Smallwood john only became the beast literally with the help of cole defeating all those conduits to get to the ray sphere. we all know cole i.e kessler in the original timeline fled. i dont understand how or why john would be the original beast in kesslers timeline
What if they created a new infamous game with an evil delsin being the main antagonist and Cole is revived by a conduit with healing abilities because Cole is the only conduit powerful enough to stop delsin
It was almost gonna go that route actually. Sucker Punch almost made infamous 3 where the bad ending was the canon one, but they noticed how many people got thr good ending to where they made that the canon ending.
Honestly this is still the rational ending. We have no idea of the RFI will cure the Plague, it's speculation. The Beast's method is FOR. SURE. I mean if I was a human I wouldn't go without a fight, as little as it would matter, but I'd understand.
i actually love this ending because it makes you choose between a way that has a small percent to work but save millions, or a way that will work put can only save thousands
I actually want a sequel to the evil ending of this game. Imagine watching Cole’s rampage as The Beast as a game. Players could learn to develop his Beast powers and watch him mo down humanity’s armies and bring a new change to humankind.
Second Son was originally supposed to feature the evil ending. They changed it. However, since we know timelines and stuff exist in this universe it is possible that they could make a game featuring this ending.
This is still the best ending to any game that I have played yet. The feels when I first saw it! It was so nice to see something different. The endings where the hero wins, sacrifices himself for the good of others, and we all live happily ever after, has become so cleche I wonder how people have not gotten bored of it yet.
The choice screen is a bit blunt. “Betray humanity” as Cole said, it’s not that they wanted people to die, but they had a guaranteed way of curing the plague, whereas he’d been set up to kill all conduits including himself, and risk the fate of humanity on the RFI, which could kill even dormant conduits . If anything, the “good” choice here seems just as cold. The idea is minimising casualties, but with no guarentee of success, while also knowing that its activation would wipe out a sizeable number of people. The “evil” choice would do the same, with larger casualties in the short term, but was shown to work.
I still prefer this ending. It is a more realist ending. Even if you want to save as many people as possible, this ending is one you already know works. Plus you don't have to die for it
Becoming a demigod and hanging with my evil ice princess partner as I usher in a new age for humanity. Magneto WISHES he could get this kind of ending for his life story.
I love that in this mission with the power cut off you just fly through the city with John and are basically an unstoppable force. Also love the detail that John says I know if I give you the ability to do this you’ll get it done. Like he knows how strong cole is and how determined which is just crazy when you realize he’s going to destroy whats left of humanity now.
If you actually think about it, the bad part is actually good and the good part is actually bad. The bad part is you trying to save as many as you can by turning them into conduits, the good part is you killing the beast but also all the other people who are conduits. I've never actually realized that until now. Or I'm just making assumptions idk
@RubyHonorWay At the point they were talking, they had no idea whether or not the RFI would really cure the plague, it was an unproven theory with the only fact being that it would kill off every Conduit (thousands of people). Sure, in the end it did cure the plague and saved everyone, but if the RFI ended up not curing the plague, every human and conduit on earth would be eradicated, either by the plague or the RFI. John's plan doesn't solve the millions who would die due to the plague, which is unfortunate, but he could at least get those Conduits active so that some of humanity can survive, and people can recover. And it's a proven, tested method. As far as I'm concerned, that Evil Ending is the good ending. At least you can say for certain through your own eyes that your saving some lives. Not all, but some.
Thats why I really like the story telling in this game. Its not truly good or evil and/or cut and dry situation. It's more on a point of view rather than stereotypical villain or hero status. Both parties think they are doing the right thing and its not over done that one has become obviously villainous and the other heroic. Hope that makes sense.
This ending still upsets me. Not only because cole is right with his logic that its better to trust a method that does save people over hoping that one that will kill people will turn out to save more people eventually but because also John was never really "the beast" as Kessler knew him.
Honestly looking back on it now the devs should have stuck to their guns and made the evil ending with cole it would have been great to play as a beast empowered cole like they intended it would have met a lot of controversy with it being canon that cole murdered his best friend but the game is called infamous for a reason. Plus unlike the other games infamous 2 gives a good reason why cole becomes "evil"
Man i remember playing this the same day i bought my ps3 with my own money it took a couple weeks but i finally got enough money to buy a ps3 at the time ps4 was already out like what maybe two years after its release i want to buy a ps4 but i was thinking to myself ( i could be missing out on some amazing games on the ps3 so) i bought the ps3 and it so happens it came with one game of my choice so i look around game stop rip and this game immediately caught my eye so i pick up and look at it after idk maybe 3 minutes i picked infamous2 not having played the first one but idc i pick it up went home and played it and man let me tell u i played this for two days straight and after completing both endings i just sat there amazed at the character the powers and the story and i was amazed of how much i was inside the world of infamous and how much i was invested in but man killing zeke was one if not one of the hardest things i had to do and this was after completing the good ending when the litte (press R1) came up i couldn't i literally put my controller down and i walked out of my room because i just couldn't but after many hours of thinking about it. ik i had to do it so i pick up my controller unpaused it and i hit R1 he would take a hit then i would he would get back up and hit me again i would hit back but once the cutsence happened and ik i killed zeke i cried. This is why for me infamous2 will always be my first game of all time and my favorite one of all time. Half as long... Twice as bright Zeke and cole😢
It all makes sense Kessler, went back in time in the first game to tell himself to be good so he wouldn't become the beast. That's why Kessler, didn't know about John, being the beast, cause John, gave his powers to Cole. So after Cole, became the beast that's when Kessler, decided to go back into time to rewrite history. :) This game is amazing!
Vloopy No, that's not what happened. Kessler IS Cole, he says so in the first game. Watch a video on the end of 1, Cole got his powers naturally in Kessler's time frame and he married Trish and all. Everything was fine, then randomly the Beast came and destroyed everything and Cole ran but he eventually found them. He went back in time, because someone needed to stop the Beast from killing everything hence why he was cold hearted. The Beast killed his family and he killed Trish when he went back in time.
6:49 pulling the trigger for Zeke must have been heartbreaking for him. Having to try and kill your best friend because they are now too far gone to be saved. He knew he really couldn’t stop Cole but that “I gotta try” says everything.
After the friendship that was presented to us in the first 2 games plus Zeke's quote "I don't call you "brother" 'cause I like the way it sounds" you get emotionally attached to them, seeing him die by the hands of his best friend is just heartbreaking. The last sentence they said together was: "Half as long, Twice as bright" makes that even worse. Thanks, SuckerPunch
I wish infamous followed that ending. I think this is one of the best endings in playstation history in general. So freaking loved it. Nate Fox what have you done!
Ok this makes no sense. I know there is two endings but in second son in Cole's legacy zeke is alive and cole isn't so the only way coles legacy would make sense is if you chose the heroic ending in Infamous 2.
I'm pretty sure infamous 3 would of had you play as the main character in infamous second son and you would be fighting against cole but since more people chose the good ending the developers scraped their idea for that and then created second son
i think Cole was meant to become the beast he was activating conduits even though it would get some people killed but if he didn't NO ONE would survive but what if he went too far and then that's when they could have introduced delsin
It's not my fault the "dark side" is impractical and stupid. Evil should let you take the easy way out at the cost of someone else's pain. My dark side would look like a super-powered mob boss, not some explosion-happy edgy prick. Most of the "evil" choices in InFamous are just evil for the sake of it. If you've got two options on how to do something, one being safe for everyone around and the other killing a bunch of innocents in the process, but both are on the same level of difficulty to perform, then what's the point of the evil choice that kills people?
It's InFAMOUS Not infamous The name of the video game series already references the Karma function in the game. So no we don't HAVE to choose evil karma.
I just wanted Zeke to kill me. This ending seriously broke me. I never want to do anything evil again after this ending. Killing my friends was the hardest thing to do.

I think the saddest moment ever in my entire career as a gamer is when I had to kill Zeke. I let him shoot me a few times until I was almost dead, and I still could barely get myself to do it. He did nothing but help the entire series, and he's not doing it to save himself because he's doomed anyway as he has the plague.
He did redeemed himself throughout the game but because he betrayed Cole in the first game I don’t feel as bad as I would have had he stuck with Cole the whole way. An eye for an eye I guess.

I felt like zeke acted like a bit of a prick in the evil ending
Psycho1324 Why? he was just trying to do what cole was supposed to.
mineraftguy123 Well he tries to shoot you mid sentence and also crushes it with the amp after you made your choice, He acts like he is has more power of the choices then you.
When I did it I let Zeke shoot me as much as possible.
I actually cried when I had to kill zeke and in the good ending i cried when i had to kill off cole. It is like as men in black 3 said where there is death there will always be death.
yeah man...sure it is
Me 2
but hey,at least you get to see some booty at 7:44
jesus christ I'm glad i chose the good ending lol
me too! lol
yeah but Cole dies nooooooooooo still i chosed good one
I did both endings
😔
gameralfa095 both endings we're sad when could died I couldn't stop crying but when zeke died I couldn't also couldn't stop crying
I know right
The Evil Karma ending is so lame. The Beast/John is extremely powerful, and more knowledgeable than Cole. Its pathetically obvious they made John give his powers to Cole just for the sake of Cole staying the man character.
John: Cole I can't do this anymore, I'm tired
Cole: But John, after you destroyed New Empire City, traveled all this way to find me, and killed millions in the process, you're just NOW saying you can't do this anymore?
John: I said I'm tired
Yeah that twist was dumb as hell.
Yeah, it was, but actually Cole had more experience in all that power stuff.
Mobile gaming and other things How?
+Mobile gaming 284 hahahaha I get it!
+Cody_Diamond Confirmed by sucker punch team: John was a pussy.
Damn u can confirm that in infamous1 aswell. he was tired of killing people and shit, infamous1 and comics shows that John is a pacifist. FIST!
6:36 this part man...it still breaks me nearly 11 years later, it's tough to kill him because you know he can't do much against you
The only game that actually made me cry I swear...this ending was too much for me
Killing Zeke still friggin hurts.
Xandersama I know it got me emotional
same
Welp, see you guys in another 8 years when this gets recommended again
Eh, it's only been about a year, so its fine
Well see you when this comment doesn't get copied and pasted
I just done this game, can't imagine if i play this game as a child without knowing what they are talking about, bcs my country don't speak english
I think this game have the best story conpared to the other games i ever played
Infamous doesnt get the recognition it deserves
They really should re-introduce this series or remaster the entire series because this game is really special
I haven't played this game in maybe 15 years, but that showdown with Zeke still hurts...
Half as long...twice as bright. RIP Zeke
Zeke wasn't a Conduit, yet he stood by Cole throughout all his decisions, good or bad. Friendship is important, but come on. Millions of people. And he personally made a final goodbye, even choking up at the end. Nix and Kuo both also made the right choice in the end. Zeke didn't even want Cole to know he had the plague, thinking it would only bother and distract him
guys if john is the beast in coles timeline then who the hell was the original beast in kesslers timeline?
Zeke :)
Hopoy no no.
+keveydaking
I imagine it would still be john. What do you think?
Cole was the beast in kesslers timeline
Amechi Smallwood john only became the beast literally with the help of cole defeating all those conduits to get to the ray sphere. we all know cole i.e kessler in the original timeline fled. i dont understand how or why john would be the original beast in kesslers timeline
1 in a 1,000 odds. So out of 7 billion, only 7 million people with powers and no plague remain? What a crazy tradeoff.
Cole didnt want to become evil. He had to become evil.
you either die a Hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the Villain.
What if they created a new infamous game with an evil delsin being the main antagonist and Cole is revived by a conduit with healing abilities because Cole is the only conduit powerful enough to stop delsin
well from what ive seen cole is the most powerful conduit delsin is strong but not too strong kuo or nix could probably defeat delsin
J031 ho-ly shattner Infamous: Second Son. Rebirth of the Demon.
ya know cuz he's called the "Demon of Empire City"
Jesus Vasquez
you are now my friend
J031 X3
Jesus Vasquez
well he's also the saint of new marais
It was hard killing zeke he was such a good friend
The little boy in me thought this was the most badass superhero style story ever lmao. Loved every second of it.
It would be cool if they make a game where it follows the evil ending from infamous 2 but delsin could be the protagonist, and cole is the antagonist
It was almost gonna go that route actually. Sucker Punch almost made infamous 3 where the bad ending was the canon one, but they noticed how many people got thr good ending to where they made that the canon ending.
@@s3t3n98 indeed they did. Fucking bastards I've wanted the evil ending to be canon
Why would Cole be the villain though?
alex alvarez honestly, that could of worked for DLC for second son title “the beast returns” or something, kind of like a “what could of been”
Why the fuck would I wanna play as Delsin when I could play as the fucking beast
Honestly this is still the rational ending. We have no idea of the RFI will cure the Plague, it's speculation. The Beast's method is FOR. SURE. I mean if I was a human I wouldn't go without a fight, as little as it would matter, but I'd understand.
That "I know" had so much meaning it made me cry, the whole moment did
I hope they remaster and re-release both games together. One of my all time favorite game series.
4:48 I was watching this and my mom walked in and thought it was porn LMAO
JoshsJoshua 😂😂😂
i actually love this ending because it makes you choose between a way that has a small percent to work but save millions, or a way that will work put can only save thousands
as time passes on im even more convinced this was the right choice then wen i was 14 the fact that white shirt cole is in the ending proves it
Zeke’s “fight” really hammers home the tone of this choice.
You are left with this feeling of “Was all this really worth it?”
Sad part is in this ending nobody was the bad guy except for cole
This is the comment I respect, and everyone need to be better like this
Fuck Undertale this is the only game to kick me in the feels.
All infamous games are the best, they really touch my feelings. Agree?
They both hit me in the feels(weird how in both games,no matter ending you get, theres feels)
oh shut up
Me too
True. I love Undertale (I prefer Infamous though) but This one emotionally destroyed me.
"Half as long, twice as bright", goddamn it's been 8 years and that still hurts
So glad there's a new infamous game. If the franchise ended like this I don't know what to do.
There was actually gonna be an inFAMOUS 3 following this ending. It wasn't really the finale of the franchise.
6:44 if you want to cry ;_;
I've never laughed and shouted "YES KILL HIM KILL HIM" so much iml
I still prefer this ending. It is a more realist ending. Even if you want to save as many people as possible, this ending is one you already know works. Plus you don't have to die for it
sounds edgy people preferred the good ending tho
Thats exactly why i love this ending, and should of been the continuation of the franchise.
Becoming a demigod and hanging with my evil ice princess partner as I usher in a new age for humanity. Magneto WISHES he could get this kind of ending for his life story.
Man I almost cried when he kept shooting seek down
i legitimately cried when cole killed zeek
Writers: Evil Ending is canon…you are the beast.
Fans: NO! COLE IS GOOD BOI!
It leads up to Evil Cole Becomes Future Cole.
"I cant believe he didnt cry during the titanic"
"Do men even have feelings?"
men:
logical morality > emotional morality
God the backround music is so nostalgic
If you actually think about it, the bad part is actually good and the good part is actually bad. The bad part is you trying to save as many as you can by turning them into conduits, the good part is you killing the beast but also all the other people who are conduits. I've never actually realized that until now. Or I'm just making assumptions idk
Dank Ainsley Considering that there are far more normal humans than conduits that isn’t an accurate statement.
Not all, but some.
i think that since they didnt know if the RFI would cure the plague they're both good endings in a way
Thats why I really like the story telling in this game. Its not truly good or evil and/or cut and dry situation. It's more on a point of view rather than stereotypical villain or hero status. Both parties think they are doing the right thing and its not over done that one has become obviously villainous and the other heroic. Hope that makes sense.
Way better than the Hero ending. At least Cole is still alive in this ending and he got new powars
1:35 Zeke is like "Fuck this shit! Not again!"
The music that plays when you are killing zeeke always gives me the goosebumps
I like how in this game both choices are equally justified
6:47 you know zeke could have just used a water gun on him.
It takes large amounts of water for cole to be in real danger. If not then rain or even drinking liquids would have killed him already
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was scrolling and I seen this , 🤣 this comment deserves more likes
@@finnheisenheim8274 big water gun, not a water pistol. Also I think that rain actually is one of his major weaknesses
@@finnheisenheim8274 Have you ever seen Cole out in the rain? Nope. My guess is it can kill him, so he actively avoids going out when it rains.
@@eddydiaz2609 so rain is his biggest weakness wow that’s a little sad
06:35-07:15
Among the 3 saddest moments I have ever experienced in a game.
Plus unlike the other games infamous 2 gives a good reason why cole becomes "evil"
fans dont believe in being edgelords
Twice as bright
Zeke and cole😢
Have you ever heard of punctuation?
Pancake Lord That's exactly what I mean. xD
Vloopy Oh sorry haha. I read it wrong then.
so basically Kessler is the beast but went back in time to tell cole not to do that
I know I'm trying not to confuse people who don't know that
I started to cry when he kept shooting Zeke
I can’t believe this is a story game. It’s so well driven like a Hollywood movie
"Half As Long, Twice As Bright"
"Half as long, twice as bright."
;_;
I wish infamous followed that ending. I think this is one of the best endings in playstation history in general. So freaking loved it. Nate Fox what have you done!
are you on drugs people prefer the good ending
@@TheSoCalledZoner1 get out normie Idgaf about what people prefer.
Ok this makes no sense. I know there is two endings but in second son in Cole's legacy zeke is alive and cole isn't so the only way coles legacy would make sense is if you chose the heroic ending in Infamous 2.
There were 2 endings and only one was canonical. it does make sense, you just explained it to yourself.
This is because the game wants and expects you to chose the good ending over the bad
its because 80% of people chose the good ending which made them start a new person, if it was fairly even, there would have been infamous 3
Well, yeah, but usually game makers want you to be good, so that's probably why.
I'm pretty sure infamous 3 would of had you play as the main character in infamous second son and you would be fighting against cole but since more people chose the good ending the developers scraped their idea for that and then created second son
Zeke: "I gotta try."
Cole: "I know."
i think Cole was meant to become the beast he was activating conduits even though it would get some people killed but if he didn't NO ONE would survive but what if he went too far and then that's when they could have introduced delsin
Zeke's death broke my heart
Ugh the game is not called fking 'Famous' guys. Indulge on your dark side and lets get a evil karma canon for once.
It's InFAMOUS
Not infamous
The name of the video game series already references the Karma function in the game. So no we don't HAVE to choose evil karma.
This game was so good. I would kill to play it again.
@@OckhamAsylumthat’s a dumb statement

@@FatalHog ye def the rest of the bad karma is just him being an asshole with freaky nix lmao
He's annoying as hell in infamous 1
He did redeemed himself throughout the game but because he betrayed Cole in the first game I don’t feel as bad as I would have had he stuck with Cole the whole way. An eye for an eye I guess.
