Everything about this woman...her presence, her voice, her talent, her style, her beauty, her modesty, her affect on her colleagues AND the audience, her authenticity, and her grace...just shines...even more than that Oscar does. Brava.
I hope at least she got her nomination. It still a long way to end this year and so many actresses' works have not been discovered, plus genre movies like horror are difficult to get academy recognition.
It would have to be a leading nomination and it’s also the horror/thriller genre so that’s going to be tough but then again very possible movies this year are not cutting it

Anthony Quinn was the first.
Agreed. But I think at that same Oscars, Alfonso Cuarón won for Best Director, the first Mexican to do so.
Lupita identifies herself as Kenyan- Mexican ....so feel proud to claim and accept her as one of our own because she herself identifies as one of us.
She is what Maya Angelou meant when she said “I come as 1, but stand as 10,000”
that was so beautiful. Thank you for your kind words.
@@joaoa9668 Maya's words.
Ahhh she's so pretty!
GohModley what the fuck is wrong with you
She ugly af...
GohModley so you think shes ugly too? Thank you
GohModley no and she ugly af. I would MIND waking up seeing her face
Her haircut kind of turns me down.
Her complexion is amazing
Yes,,she is cute and she looks little bit like a actress from a new movie MAN CALLED DOG, adventure in African Jungle,,but body of that actress is so nice
She needs to drop her skincare routine wow
Good genes and eats right
She going in spa tretmans. Other People are doing skin care not her at home.
Maybe she look good on Camera with All those lights but When you see her live she look different and probably scary when you see her on night.

Ha
She looks like Tiana from "The princess and the Frog"
Lara Darwish they should cast her of if make a live action version .
Too dark, no? Her skin is beautiful but tiana is lighter
Eliana Dobbs doesnt really matter to me honestly. dark skinned women should have the same chance to play tiana as light skins.
I don’t see how?

What accent?
James Johnson omg it is kind of sad you don't have anything else to do with your life, like the fuck do something more productive with your time. Honestly what did she do to you, other than making unbelievably rubbish comments on her because your jealous of her success maybe work on your own life, possibly move out you moms basement, go back to school and learn common sense, get a job instead of putting other people down to make your self better about your sad life ok, have a nice day ❤️
She deserves an Oscar for this moving speech alone, beautiful actress
What a beautiful woman. Her spirit and soul are as beautiful as her smile.
"When I look down at this golden statue, may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you're from, your dreams are valid"
What a beautiful speech:)
It made me cry!
that is easy to say when your family is rich as hell
"no matter where you stand your dreams are valid" Lupita Nyong'o
Anyone who has watched that film will know how genuinely deserving this lady is. 12 Years a slave is shocking and incredible work of cinema.
Thanks for telling the truth.
True.

So, ten years rewatching it. And ten years crying. Every time. Lupita is pure gold. 👑❤
her speech was so beautiful
She's a real princess!!
hello
That was one of the most moving and genuine speeches I have ever heard from an Oscar Winner, and what a popular winner, the moment her name was said the whole room just erupted. I felt there was none of the falseness after some awards are announced, when the audience feel they have to clap just in order to look good.
3:26 "No matter where you're from. Your dreams are valid"
¡ ¡ ¡ THAT'S FACT ! ! !

Lupita is so beautiful, she’s a role model.
If Cinderella was black she would look like that
well, she is Tiana :D
Gracia María Fe Espinoza Padrón tiana is played by anika nani rose
Tammy Lewis ohhh. I did not know that
Gracia María Fe Espinoza Padrón I didn't know at first either until I heard her sing.
Νικολίνα Ευ I thought she'd look like Brandy lol
Everything about this woman...her presence, her voice, her talent, her style, her beauty, her modesty, her affect on her colleagues AND the audience, her authenticity, and her grace...just shines...even more than that Oscar does. Brava.
Beautiful voice
can't help but smile. what a beautiful, intelligent and poised young woman. i hope her career is long and succesful
She made me cry twice, in the movie and in this speech, and I don't cry easily. Such a shining spirit, full of humanity and art.
shes gonna get another oscar for "us" movie. Im calling
I hope at least she got her nomination. It still a long way to end this year and so many actresses' works have not been discovered, plus genre movies like horror are difficult to get academy recognition.
@@rayhanihsannasution4199 tea
It would have to be a leading nomination and it’s also the horror/thriller genre so that’s going to be tough but then again very possible movies this year are not cutting it
