@@Dr.SyedSaifAbbasNaqvi Yeach ,She deserve for the devil wears prada, not the iron lady
remembering that Meryl couldn't either. I believe her reaction revealed the Academy messed that one up (again)
Viola should has been in the leading category. Why on earth is she in supporting category and yes she totally deserves to win and what a great speech.
Depending on who the woman are in the main category, the studio may put them in supporting if they feel she has a better chance of winning.
Just finished reading her memoir and to see her speech now…. I’m just at a loss for words. Viola you deserve this and more! I’m so happy to see her success and I pray that she continues to share us with her talent on television.
Viola needs to do something as a narrator, I coud hear her speak for hours.
She's an absolute legend
"The profession that celebrates what it means to live a life" how beautiful. I adore Viola Davis.
She's just one of the best of all time. I love you, Viola Davis.
2:03 Look at Emma Stone
GeniusDolphin she was so happy for her. That speech changed my life
They worked together on The Help. And everyone loves Viola.
I know, they are both leads in The Help
Along with Octavia Spencer
She was totally uncomfortable ha ha
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many tears in the audience for an acceptance speech. She is truly an amazing artist.
I will first acknowledge her eloquence, her passion and her mighty spirit. There is no way those things cannot be recognized and respected.
However, can a moment be taken for this woman's amazingly toned and beautifully hued physique. She is a goddess... an absolute reflection of divine creation ..from her appearance to her soul. Thank you Viola for simply radiating the power and strength of women...
One of the best speeches. Every time a person of colorful gets the Academy Award, she or he is telling little brown or Hispanic kids, you can achieve anything you want.
Viola is representing Black people, especially African Americans. She is not up there representing people of color, nor little brown or Hispanic kids (the ones who are racist against Blacks like Viola). Stop trying to create a fairy tale to make yourself feel better. Hispanics, for the most part, are racist & colorist.
@@ExquisiteKinkyCoils I dont know what you mean by Hispanic, but there are black hispanics as well, as white hispanics, as well as indigenous hispanics, or even hispanics with asian feature. So is kinda of weird and oversimplyfing the concept of being hispanic that USA citizens use.
@@alejandropradilladuarte3407 lets not play games, ok? By default, white Hispanics are the ones I'm taking about. Since when are indigenous Hispanics & Black Hispanics every mentioned in the media by white Hispanics? Hardly ever. The colorism & racism with Hispanics is an utter mess. Let this be the last time you assume to have an upper hand.
@@ExquisiteKinkyCoils yeah sure i mean i live in Colombia and im Colombian , and im pretty sure we are not as racists as you say we are... But sure I guess you know more about being a latino than me. Just Please stop oversimplyfing, latinoamérica is pretty big and have a lot of countries in it, it is annoying as hell when we are threated as an homogenous group, for example in Brazil they dont even speak spanish, in Aruba they speak papiamento... So we are not all the same. And im sorry, but im pretty sure that racism between white hispanics and black people is not the main problem to solve regarding racism in USA.
@@alejandropradilladuarte3407 if you're going to have a thin-skin, then don't engaged in a debate. Truth is, Hispanic America, good Lord, have terrible racism, & you can't even be honest about it when attempting to respond. I know about Latin America, & will speak on it. Hispanic & Latin American's messy history & current state of racism & colorism is not hidden, except by people like you. My goodness, fix your own messy backyards before posting to me, hypocrite.
Notice they didn't play her off. I LOVE it!!! Her speech was so perfect that no one would dare try. The most overdue award ever! Our EGOT queen!!
I sometimes come back here to hear this speech. Best Oscar acceptance ever.
The most georgous woman on the planet. What a spirit she s got omg!
She never disappoints in anything she acts in 🧡
No matter how much I watch this I cry every time.
she should play Mrs. Obama
And Will Smith should play Mr Obama.
Yes
I can see that
Damn you predicted it
WELL DAMN SHE IS!!!!
She deserves an Oscar for her Oscar speech! Absolutely adore her, incredibly talented.
4:09 "Thank you for putting two entities in the driving seat. August. And God." Felt that.
I have never believed that an actress like Viola Davis will have a strong and positive influence over me. But i will never forget the first when i saw her in "Doubt" and "The Help", but this time in "Fences" this is the role of a lifetime that blow me away. Yet, at the moment she was giving her acceptance award, i was absolutely speechless. I stand in respect for her and i wish him the best in her career.
Well now... that was just about the most heart-felt, beautiful acceptance speech I've heard. She really is a breathtaking human being.
I live for her speeches.
Most emotional speech ever. I admire her.
this probably is the most beautiful Oscar speech I've heard.
Her capability to connect with the soul of the universe, to translate love into words, vibration into manifestation, is astounding. Thanks a lot Viola!
Dark skin is so beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
zyaire leslie All skin color is
john jeffries yeah we get it you feel left out.. I didn't ask for your opinion.
john jeffries You're probably one of those All Lives Matter kind of people, yeah just take it somewhere else...
zyaire leslie Then don't comment 😉
john jeffries Good Bye take your un-seasoned conversation somewhere else.
Viola: "To my husband and my daughter"
The camera: *shows her husband and Emma Stone*
I was confused too. Had to google to make sure I didn't miss the adoption of Emma Stone by Viola and Julius. You never know, hollywood is crazy if you don't keep up with the everyday hustle bustle.
Lmao!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@pavelmedbery3055 😂😂😂😂
I was already tearing but then burst into laughter on this part 😅😂
I just can't imagine how wonderful her presence is...I can feel her totally... Go Viola Go... Long
This speech and every acceptance speech she has ever made deserve awards in themselves!!!!!! Legend! Queen! Inspiration!
Her and Emma sharing that little moment at 1:48 after BOTH of their incredible performances on The Help, I’m HERE for it!!
This woman knows how to tap into to your soul with her words she earned that reward no doubt
You can see how emotional Meryl was after giving her a kiss ...such a good friendship
Oh Viola Viola Viola....what a wonderful speach, full of love and truth. We can sense the love right out of you hear!. We love you.
Meryl Streep was good in Iron Lady but no denying she stole it from Viola for The Help that year.
Dancerama6 Well that is your opinion. You can't put "no denying" on opinions.
MrAsteris4ever umm have you seen Iron Lady? Okay movie and good performance but was not the rightful winner that year. Haha
Dancerama6 The ultimate irony with The Iron Lady was Thatcher’s children hated the film saying it was a “fairy tale”
AMen... i saw both the movie n viola deserved it....
Tat gave to meryl just because the whole movie was riding on her sholder unlike help which had may pivotal characters with lot of importance
Hell yeah she did.
Who’s still watching this in 2021 ?? I still come back here to cry often.. she’s so immaculate.
Great speech. Look how happy Denzel was for her success. He was grinning from ear to ear.
Mark Rylance did a very good opening speech and Viola Davis did one of the best acceptance speeches in the history of The Academy, it was so honest, real, humble and emotional, I love them both, they are the best.
4:20....cap and natasha watching for bad guys as viola makes her beautiful speech...so sweet
I’m here 5 years later to celebrate this amazing woman and role AGAIN! Wow! Well deserved QUEEN ❤
