Having a little fantasy right now of maybe 4, 5 select friends of mine having a loud jam session/choir practice right in the middle of the end of the culdesac we live on just to freak all these super humorless neighbors of mine out. I'd say in a couple years all the kids therein would in fact be old enough for this kind of humor if only they'd been brought up with any humor at all .... saaad! 😢
Such a masterful performer that Chuck Berry ....

When I was growing up, my uncle would come over to the house to play guitar with my dad. There are so many songs that I forgot I even knew. This brought back so many fond memories. They would sit up all night getting drunk, playing guitars and singing. I miss being a kid and listening to them.

It was fun but now I’m in my 60s and slowly dying from ALS, it’s long over due but I have repented my Sins and Believe in the lord Jesus as my savior and so should you. The rapture is coming. My parents thought I was crazy when I told them the words - We all had a good laugh. To happen to have a little budgie now and we have songs recorded for him. Little guy loves certain songs and THIS is one of them. He goes to town when this plays. My grandchildren all get a good laugh when they hear the song. I’m so sorry. I hope he has a lucid moment for you. Hold his hand, squeeze it. My daddy was in a two week coma after a heart attack earlier this year. He thankfully came out of it. He told me he couldn’t hear us, but when we touched him or held his hand, he felt that. He said his coma was one big vivid dream. He lived a whole other life in there. Maybe that’s why some won’t come around. The dream is too good, and no one holds their hands. So, squeeze them hands honey. Kiss his cheeks. Remind his body he needs to be here, he has a reason to be. Sending my love from California to wherever you are.

How the heck do you know all the words.. unless your grandpappy or some other person sang it to you in your young youth. My grandpappy sang jimmy cracked corn and some other hen house things to me.. but Chuck Berry has been my idol not just as a musician etc.. cause other than his extreme musical talent, I've lived in St. Louis and been to his club on the 'loop' - Blue Berryhill - enough times that besides the food, location, or shitty as fuck comedy/bandstand in the basement.. that location is a landmark. And by god Chuck Berry has always been and will always be a musical genius.

We sang this at the VFW in Orem/Provo Utah in 1986, my dad would entertain by playing his six string acoustic guitar and singing this there I was his back up singer. It was so hard not to laugh while singing.🤣🤣🤣

I don't know how I never saw this video of him. I LOVE Chuck Berry. Such a great entertainer and I'm pretty sure most people have no idea that song is even older than he was at that time. There's another song I think about the same time as the original. "Shaving cream. Be nice and clean. Shave every day and you'll always be keen" lol Even that song gets a bit dirty.

I was a young toddler when this song aired on radio station. I never forgot this song. Went to school and sang it then other students joined and we had a nice chorus until the teacher ordered us to tune it off. 😂 But we saw that she had a smirk on her face choking back her laughing. ❤❤❤

Oh ,this song brings back so many wonderful memories😂😅.We got our behinds " whipped" everyday , but we didn't care , we sang as loud as we could ( it drove all the grown-ups nuts !!) We were forbidden, but we walked around the house saying" ding -a- ling/ding-a-ling. Poor babies, we just didn't have no sense ❗️
