I heard Ronnie say in an interview she kept Phil Spector's last name because that was how the public knew her, and all of her records and bookings were in that name. Her father's name was Bennet, and she said if she suddenly appeared as Ronnie Bennet that no one would know her. Her name as Spector had become a brand by the time of the divorce in 1974..

I know this might be hard for many, but, I only JUST found out this amazing singer, Ms Spector passed away over year ago.
Not only that, but, I knew her former husband (Mr Spector) since the mid/late 70s, as well as the immensely talented Ms Darlene Love.
I only say this, because it was a dream of mine to 'one day' meet her, and sadly, that never was to be.
Thank goodness her voice lives on, as part of some of THE BEST rock and roll EVER recorded. 💐🎙️

Being born in 1961, seeing all these amazing artists passing just keeps getting harder and harder... I grew up with a huge crush on Nedra. They were so talented. My older sister had their hair for a while.. RIP Ronnie..Hope you and Eddy are rocking till the morning light.. When we learned that George Harrison and Keith Richards were dating them, we said..Really? Ok time to learn a instrument..For me it was the drums..Had so much fun in the late 70's into the 80s!

The Ronettes are an awesome talent. I've always heard this song on oldies stations and this is the 1st time I've heard and seen them performing. Sha Na Na always had great talent on their show. It's great to hear something that's awesome and from Memory Lane. Especially girl groups that reigned supreme at one time.
