My pleasure. Your performance at Woodstock still stands as one of the most iconic moments in TV/music history. My brother Brian came back from Canada in 1971 with a copy of "Rock n Roll is Here To Stay" and it blew my mind. Still one of my favourite albums of all time., the song choice, the vocals, the running order, the Alan Freed snippets all make it the perfect album. If Brian had still been with us, he would have been blown away by you getting in touch. You all brought a lot of joy and pleasure to music lovers from all corners of the globe. You should be very proud. All the best, Donny.
@@LenVacantVision, in raw showbiz terms our first album was unsuccessful. The buzz got to be that we'd cleaned the rough edges off the old songs too much and "sanitized" them or (worse yet) "sterilized" them. What we were most definitely was theatrical, unusual among "big music stars" of that day.
I was at Woodstock for 6 years. Woodstock Elementary School. A little 6 room farm school, with about 100 students. As to the famous Woodstock, I was also in Vietnam.
The lyrics weren't bad. The music wasn't bad. But forcing the two together was painful. Those lyrics dont come close to matching the rhythm they were crammed into.
I was too young for Woodstock. But grew up on the TV show. 👍
What a discovery! Nice of yooz to bother recording and uploading this! 😎

"Sha Na Na". The Godfathers of Boy Bands!
Very good work
thanks, Anna.
This is the most together syncopated unison singing I've ever heard.
Loved this and ShaNaNa.
thanks, Barbara. They were something else.
Sha Na Na was the headliner, everyone else were the opening acts.
Nobody stayed to see the cleanup bands that followed
HAHA !!!
That one guy "Hendrix" as a forgotten clean-up band. Hilarious. 🤣
@@benjerman4438 and maybe even Santana
still love doo wop and sha na na moreso than 2023 top 40

The "STARS" of the show at Woodstock were Sly and the Family Stone.
If you were there....you'd know.
I thought everyone who was there couldn't actually remember.
Yeah, they were hitting on all cylinders! Just a helluva performance!
