The more I watch KG's talk shows the more I like him. As a Spurs fan, my first memories of Garnett were his early matchups against Tim Duncan, and those were some epic battles! Garnett was so damn athletic, and so emotional - he was the anti-Duncan! Every bit as good as TD in my humble opinion, but Tim was a little more mature when they were young and was on a better overall team. I kind of lost track of KG after a few years and then he went to Boston and dominated. So glad he got a ring.

LeBron has also looked pretty disinterested in defense and taking care of the ball the back 9 of his career. Maybe he should’ve taken a break?

    • @yesyes1842

I think Jordan taking 2 years off makes his case stronger and not weaker. It's hard to take 2 years off from professional sports and come back as the same player in the 90s. Had he not taken off, how many rings would we have? How can a man take 2 years off his prime and still be in the goat debate, what if he didn't take 2 years off, would there even be a debate? We also make it seem like he tapped out by taking 2 years off, thats revisionist history because he told you why. His father died... His father wanted him to play baseball... Listen to what he's saying as the reason why he did it. It wasn't about basketball at all...

You had 21 seasons to prove you're better and we're still debating with majority view in MJ's camp. That's crazy...How amazing is this man MJ for people to feel this way 25+ years later still? He didn't have to convince people this hard...He slept for 2 years in his 20s and gave you 6 rings and 25+ years later we're obsessively debating if someone is finally better than him with many saying no... Pierce made a great point. Steph is so influential not only because of his greatness but what he is great at and what makes him great is more attainable than lets say a LeBron or a Shaq. Like yea you can work on watching and studying plays to try and be as smart as LeBron or you can work on jump hooks and fighting for positioning deep in the paint before you even touch the ball like Shaq but they pair their work ethic with their freakish bodies that most normal people cannot ever wish to have. And i'm not saying everyone is going to be able to shoot just like Steph or work as hard but it is more attainable for the average person to emulate his game. You can work on your shooting, you can work on your movement off the ball. He is 6'3 which isn't as far off form the average height of a male. He is someone you can actually realistically emulate fully. People like LeBron or Shaq or KD are just built different. Harder to try to emulate their game

Derrick Henry didn’t just work like crazy to be 6’2 225lbs while running a 4.4/4.5 in Highschool. 85% of that is god given natural talent and his genetics.
Obviously in the pro’s where everyone was the top tier athlete growing up (for the most part) hard working and dedicated individuals will stand out but it’s definitely not as important at the middle/high school levels. @29mailliw 4 месяца назад +3

@@micapalma9532first off your wrong and you regurgitating the sentiments of Stephen A Smith talking about Jason terry. That's a false narrative and if you go back and look at the series which we all saw LeBron didnt choke . You didn't see the multiple schemes that Dallas put together. Not only did they not play man to man they zoned up on LeBron and it was not Jason terry for most of the finals they had the matrix Shawn Marion especially when they were in Dallas. Y'all so focused on one man . Basketball is a team sport and the one thing you forget in all this which I don't see none of you so called fans talk about only until the Golden State series is that Curry etc etc shot the lights out. Well dwade said it himself they couldn't stop jj barea kidd was shooting lights out Jason terry shooting lights out deshawn Stevenson shooting lights out Shawn Marion causing havoc and of course dirk. Heat had better talent Dallas had the better team. Dallas maximize their efforts to make sure they won the heat didn't make adjustments accordingly period. To say LeBron choked that finals is all based on the world being in absolute horror because he went there to Miami and many wanted him to lose because the balance of the east had shifted. Losing a championship is a big deal but the fact that he still since then played at a all-time level even now what I don't hear is y'all adding to his already impressive resume . There is no one that we will see in the next five to ten years do what he is doing period . Now if you want Jordan to be your ace cool but to call him leflop at this point is ridiculous. LeBron talked about the flopping even on his show on how it started because he is big and the refs wasn't calling fouls that he should get so he said himself well maybe he should start just to get more freethrow attempts .it's just as when Shaq felt he should be getting foul calls and he went to the league office and talked with stern about fouls and stern said your complaining about fouls when we got 29 teams complaining about you. And as big as LeBron is it's reasonable to assume many fouls won't go in his favor because yeah he does get fouled but the league is like oh well play through it. But when Jordan complained and Phil Jackson complained just like wilt Chamberlain told him years ago when they debated at halftime In Cleveland at the top 50 and he said Mike don't forget they changed the game to make it harder for me they changed the game to make it easier for you. And it's no question Everytime you got close to Michael especially late in games Mike was going to be at the foul line. Now Mike playing weight his heaviest at 215 now add another 50 lbs to that Mike would get the same treatment LeBron and wilt got. So cut it out with the le flop .and obviously you don't watch basketball go back and watch that whole series with Dallas and you will clearly see Jason terry was not on him Especially most of the time . Oh but I forgot you only watch one man LeBron just as u only probably saw only Jordan and think he won six chips by himself . And I saw both of their careers the better basketball player is LeBron now if you want to say Jordan is the better winner in terms of championships cool but he don't got more than bill Russell. And arguably playing against fewer teams but playing them 10 times plus playoffs could also be argued that it's far more hard to win in a era like that than in 30 teams because let's be honest you can rack up wins against teams that is not playoff or even championship contenders . You put that same bulls team in a league with the 96 teams who all made the playoffs they not beating the New York Knicks ten straight times in a regular season they not beating the sonics jazz magic rockets etc etc 10 straight times they damn sure ain't winning 70 games . Yeah it can be done in a 30 team but in a 8 team or 16 team league that's absurd to think such. Even before Mike won and they choked 3 straight years since you talking about choking now I was just being funny but imagine an 8 team league and Detroit is one of them at that time ten games in a regular season not including playoffs they was already getting wupped just playing Detroit 6 times ,yeah they snuck a few games but they sure as hell got it handed to em. And be honest nobody never called LeBron a flopper until he did that vs the bulls in the playoffs when he was with Miami so all them years before he wasn't a flopper so what's with all the name calling and hate yet he continues to dominate. Look at Kevin Durant he stole two championships but now he in trouble in Phoenix because he can't lead he has no excuses Jamal Murray played great lost to LeBron in the west finals in the bubble came back after an injury for two years now they on top we haven't heard from Durant since he was with the warriors so that speaks on how great LeBron is even at age 39 . Finally the fact that doc Rivers kg and Paul saying what they knew about LeBron speaks volumes and because he is unselfish let's keep it real the one game or better yet two games showed that if LeBron wanted to pass up Mike he could but he rather play a team game is the game 5 in Detroit and game 6 in Boston and if he wanted everybody knew what we all saw the whole league would be in trouble . Dwade said it and everyone knew it. That LeBron if he wanted could destroy teams even better than Mike. Just listen to his peers who talked about LeBron and how hard it was for them instead of buying into the skip Bayless Stephen a Smith of the world . Maybe you should go watch when Mark cuban destroyed skip argument and Stephen a couldn't say a word because the truth was said only until this year did you hear that crap about Jason terry guarded LeBron as if it was the whole game when that was a lie.

Steph transformed the game more than Bron for sure. But he is no where near LeBron’s level in terms of skill and dominance. I think Steph gets too little credit for his influence and too much credit for his dominance, since he has been on one of the most stacked rosters ever. Like KD was better than him for 2 of his chips. You can’t say that about LeBron, MJ, etc

shaq was the best player during their threepeat but that aint taking anything over kobes greatness, why should it take stephs? and no, steph was always the bus driver of the golden state as its best player, KD only benefited off of HIS team which is STEPHS team while kobe benefited off of shaq, shaq was a veteran, it was his team and he was the best player so one could argue steph was the MAN for all his rings and theres legitimate proof, KD cant won anything even though he had just as much as star caliber teammates all his teaming up failed while steph contends and won one, so it was his dynasty all along he was always the best player in his team

How LJ is still appearing to play well:
    1) Has played his whole career in the most diluted defensive era of basketball. He’s avg 25ppg now, that’s 19ppg in 2001.
    2) Hasn’t played close to a full season in 5 years. He’s missed nearly 2 seasons worth of games in those 5 years
    3) Slacks on defense and is a liability
    4) He spends millions each season on his body to stay in healthy enough shape to keep playing.
    5) Thus, his longevity is overrated

Until someone transcends the game like MJ does playing offense and defense as a smaller guy... 2 separate three peats. Dominance... and if you never saw MJ play live.. i can guarantee you are a Lebron fan... becuz you dont know and didnt see MJ

Those 3 peats only price how ASS the trans as a whole were. Too many good players to 3 peats and any real basketball fan knows that. He didn't transcend the game on defense, he just didn't have to guard real ball handlers for real and was obviously bigger than the guys he faced. Iverson proved that his rookie year cruising him up stupid. LeBron is the reason all of these big men and big guards don't the league with their playmaking ability which has nothing to do with MJ. Y'all dudes really act like y'all can't see. That man guarded a bunch of no handle nobody's yet only only has a couple hundred more steals and 200 less blocks than LeBron but let y'all tell it, LeBron has never played any defense. Name 5 people MJ HAD to guard that were tough if you can even think of 3.
