    All I have to say is that i'm 42 years old and when Lebron came into the league I was in my early 20s. Me and my Brother saw his 1st game. Right away we knew that he was special. The fact he played for this long and hes still that good, is mind blowing. My 20s were hard times. Don't know how I even survived. I would watch every game he played. It took my mind of the struggle I was going threw as a young Man. So I'm thankful 🙏🏽 to Lebron for that. I needed it, so I stuck with him threw his career and watched every game I could. Still to this day. I grew up watching Jordan play, he was unreal, but as the years went on and I got older, Lebron became my favorite player, and watching both Jordan.and Lebron play in their prime. I got Lebron as the GOAT. Long Live King James 👑
    I make sure I'm gonna watch as many of his games before he retires. Which hes getting close too. Everybody better watch because you're never going to see anything like him again!

      Bro, now that you're 42, and I'm going to assume you were an athlete, have you noticed that even though you believe you feel the same, you've got about ¼ of the athleticism you had in your 20s? Haha, a few weeks ago, I was playing soccer with my kids and some of the high schoolers as well as a few parents, I went to take off running and it's like my brain was saying "shit bro, you're still just as fast as when you were 20" so I take off and it's like in my mind my legs were going to be jist fuckin moving at light speed like they used to, and I feel flat on my mf face! For NO other reason than I tried to move my legs faster than what they were capable of going anymore. Shit had me fucked up. I've been spending 2 hours a day in the gym ever since, haha.

Extreme speed, extension, and can get across the court in 12 to 14 steps. All at 6’9 250+ lbs. He's already not doing this often. Lakers LBJ doesn't dunk a lot, and when he does it is mostly uncontested dunks. Still, these dunks when he was with the Cavs, they really were something else. There's not much of body contact, but that's more due to his athleticism than the lack of defensive contest

    • @anopoabednego6173
      @anopoabednego6173 10 месяцев назад +1

      @LeongGunners False, actually. LeBron has averaged 2 dunks per game throughout his entire career. In 03-04 as a rookie, he went almost 30 games with zero dunks. Last season he dunked in 76% of games compared to 66% his rookie season and this season he has dunked in 86% of game amd is averaging 1.8 per game. So he really hasn't slowed on the dunks as some would have you believing. The guy may not be dunking from the free-throw line with such ease anymore, but look at his best dunks from this season and last season and they look every bit as ferocious as any other season. Obviously the most powerful throw-downs were the Miami days. But his dunks are still some of the meanest in the NBA. And the craziest shit is, he is STILL clearing the entire length of the court in just nine strides, the fewest in the NBA. These are all facts you can easily look up if you're interested in fact checking.

    When LeBron was younger he would not only get his head above the rim, sometimes his chest would be at the rim. His vertical was crazy when he was in his late teens and early 20s. He can still get his head above the rim at 39, but when he was younger, his jumping ability was a sight to see. He did not want to do slam dunk contests, because he prefers to do his dunking in games.

    I went to see Lebron in detroit in 2016 with the sole purpose of seeing him dunk in person in a game. Well he had only one chance and was all alone on a breakaway and missed the dunk somehow smh… fast forward to just the other night against the pistons in 2023 , I knew time may be running out to see him again while he’s still able to dunk. Although he’s not dunking as frequently as he used to I still had hope to see at least one. And he had 3 absolutely beautiful dunks. One was a monster 2 handed slam from the side where he slapped the backboard, and the next one was almost identical except he had to double clutch it in mid air, and his final dunk was his signature tomahawk slam on a breakaway! Also AD had about 5 dunks as well and 3 crazy blocks… The night could not have been any better, and it was worth every penny! I encourage anyone that loves basketball and hasn’t seen him play in person yet, to do so soon. Don’t be like me and regret never seeing MJ play in person.

    What most people don’t talk about enough is, Lebron is the pinnacle of inside the paint player. He had beaten all the interior defensive schemes. Unfortunately, we have this 3 shooting era that waters down his dominance. I have been watching the NBA since the late 80’s and I can imagine how Lebron would have destroyed all those sluggish big defenders back then with his knowledge of the game, speed and athleticism. I’m not taking anything away from great defenders back then because they didn’t have to face any one like Lebron and it was a different era but I really can’t think of many guys who could slow Lebron down in the paint. Maybe peaked David Robinson or Hakeem were the only two who had a little chance.
