    That Kemp dunk and the Pippen over Ewing dunk were 2 of my favorite NBA dunks of all time. But the Vince Carter "Dunk of Death" in the 2000 Olympics is the sickest dunk in the history of mankind.

      I definitely have to see the Vince Carter dunk of death! The thing that I noticed about his overall athleticism is, the players can’t read the mathematics of his movements. Forget about if he chooses to switch up or add something into his angle of getting to the basket at the last moment. He literally handicaps them. #temporarily

    scottie pippen's dunk is very sensational and the subsequent events are hilarious, pippen dunks in Ewing's face, Ewing falls, pippen steps over him, ewing tries to push pippen and pick a fight, pippen turns away and immediately starts to talk trash to Spike lee in the stands.

I did some digging on that and apparently Weiss had signed with a Euro-league for much more $$ than NY was offering him. Which makes sense, because what team is going to not sign someone because they got dunked on? That would be dumb from a management perspective lol.     I knew the 97 dunk of MJ on Mutumbo was going to win that year. I remember watching it during the 96-97 playoffs. Mutumbo was talking about how Jordan never dunked on him and then it happened and Jordan did Mutumbo's signature finger wave back at him. He got whistled for a technical foul after waving his finger at him, but MJ knew he would and it was worth it. It was epic Jordan.

Caris levert knew something nasty was about to happen he just sat back straight and clutched at his knee, trevor booker jolted with excitement, randy foye had to be held down by Dinwiddie to stop from jumping up and celebrating. Scola also went from hunching forward to sitting all the way back in amazement lool.     I still recall that Baron Davis dunk on Andre Kirilenko like it was yesterday. The build up to that moment was intense considering The Warriors should have never been there in the first place. The Mavs sat Dirk Nowitzki in the last series of the regular season to let the warriors bump up to 8th seed because they were deemed as the weaker team, and the Mavs were number 1. 8th seed Warriors knocked the Mavs out. Then this dunk came in the second round and really made the fans feel like it was in the bag. It was the absolute pinnacle of the pre Steph era. I think the season before they went less than 20 wins but they still sold out. Just a fun group to watch win or lose.

    it's cool seeing a timeline like this, you can see how much the game has changed.
    The old dunks seem a lot more exciting and deserving of all of those replays since there's a crowd around and people are actually dunking on defenders, puts a lot more emphasis on the dunk. The last few dunks don't seem even a little disrespectful, they're docile fast break dunks with lots of open space and one defender that's seeing if they can maybe draw a charge, no attempted defense.

      @@emteebee1872 Kemp and Dominque are 2 of my favorite in game dunkers… Vince and McGrady also had some nice dunks. Also Tom Chambers had some really good in games… for a white dude lol. He would do a lot of reverse slams coming down the baseline and reversing it under the basket. And of course he had that dunk on Mark Jackson.

      Agree , 80's and 90's we're the best for me , it's way to weak now , I stopped watching the NBA after 2002 , I tried to get back in it around 2011 and gave up on it like in 2015 . It's just not the same anymore

    That Baron Davis dunk on Kirilenko in the playoffs after YEARS of the GSWs being at the bottom of the league was something extra special...... I remember watching it on live TV and losing my mind.

    Tom Chambers had an incredible dunk on a fast break… Giannis has a few worth mentioning, Vince was insane, John Starks has a great one against the Bulls, Kevin Johnson also. Difficult task to select one from each year. For me, Jordan had some of the best in traffic. Great job man!

    Shaq dunking over David Robinson was brutal. You ain't blocking Shaq once he's going up to the rim to dunk it. He was an unstoppable force in the 90s.

    John Starks' dunk over both Horace Grant AND Jordan was the greatest dunk of 93.
    And Giannis jumping over Hardaway Jr. in 2018 was probably one of the best dunks of this century. Probably ever.
