Same with me. All that aside, it really was a pleasure. Hopefully we can get the chapter finished tomorrow if not, next weekend. Either way, you do you on what you want to do with the next stream.
Arthur's talk to Sister Calderón at the train station is honestly a very impactful scene to me. He's changed so much since the beginning of the game. The sadness, fear, and even some form of acceptance are so apparent in his eyes when he says, "I'm afraid." Roger Clark absolutely nails his performance as Arthur Morgan
And it's all optional. You could be talking to the Reverend instead. "I ain't changed. I'm still a bad man..." and with it, a pervasive sense of hopelessness that follows with a haunting version of "That's The Way It Is" a few missions later.
It would be a great scene if Rockstar didn't cuck out and allowed the nun to mention God. Instead she essentially says, "It's ok, Mr. Morgan. Life, laugh, love!" to a man that has murdered innocents and feels regret.
Funny thing is when i played for the first time i got illness and literally had been made me coughing for months (includes during my gameplay) and it really made me relate with arthurs ilness and everytime arthur coughed i felt it :(

As enjoyable as it is to watch these I kinda feel bad for him having to experience the game for the first time like this, basically just binging the main story with a few stranger missions and random encounters sprinkled in between map markers, dude better replay the game and really take his time to explore and soak it in, took me 120 hours to beat the game for the first time and every minute of it was spectacular
Buddy after 1000 hours im gonna have to say thats your own fault 80% of the maps are earned by exploring an area you should've been at for other reasons
The scene with Sister is maybe the best in the game. Just the overall vulnerability of Arthur is something we don’t see with protagonists as tough as him. He says the one phrase most men won’t admit with “I’m afraid”. The voice acting in it with Roger Clark’s delivery is just as perfect as can be. So happy to see him finally hit that scene
The callbacks to rdr 1 work so good. They make it seem like the characters were reminiscing their past when they said those particular lines. Jack was probably remembering Arthur's line when he said "dont look back" to jack and abigail in the final mission. And dutch was probably reminiscing his time with arthur when he gave that monologue before death in rdr1. Like he was remembering this mission where he jumped into river.
Hey Act man! I hope you're well. Normally I'm a completely silent viewer, but I wanted to say I'm loving your red Dead 2 playthrough. I've loved your reviews for years, and I'm super excited for you to finish the game. At the same time, I don't want it to end. Overall, keep up the good work!
The scene where Arthur admits to Sister that he’s afraid is probably the one of if not the best scene of any piece of media for me. That scene has so much impact for me.
This play through just shows the depth of this game. Act hasn't done any of the challenges, hunting, finding plants, finding the dream catchers, etc. and he has put so many hours into this game. Love RDR2!!

@@davidstinger1134 I think it’s all the same. Save for the epilogue or play as Arthur, it’s still the same number of missions. I think it’s odd to play the last mission with Hamish as John as you don’t have that same relationship with him as you do with Arthur having spent more time with him. It also depends on the player and what they want out of the game. Clearly ActMan doesn’t like to explore (most the map perimeter is still fogged), doesn’t like to hunt, doesn’t like to fish, doesn’t like to do challenges, doesn’t like to go for achievements…so he’s not going to get the same experience out of the game as other folks. I'm not sure if anybody has noticed that the music that starts playing during the scene at 05:58:28 sounds much like the Gaptooth Breach combat music from rdr1.
Act Man: "I stopped antagonizing people" This is where I started antagonizing Micah and the RDR1 gang survivors. The dialogue was fitting too because Arthur kept calling Micah a snake, and he kept saying Javier and Bill were blind.
Yeah. Was thinking that during the last couple streams tbh. Starting to make me wonder if he even likes the game. First few streams were fun because he did everything that came his way. Now it's like he's just tired/bored with it. Fast travels everywhere. Gets annoyed/frustrated with seeing more stranger missions pop up, saying he "can't possibly do them all" as if he's on a time limit or something. Sees it might be a stealth mission, and expresses frustration with that "hope it's not another stealth mission". Says stuff like "better not be another huge gunfight". Constantly wants to walk faster, ride faster, run faster. Doesn't explore, ignores random encounters, seems impatient with everything. Feels like the novelty/fun has worn off for him and he just wants it to be over/move on.
I love how Arthur is usually unsure that he's doing good and hates doing what he does, but while he's helping the natives he seems 100% sure he's doing the right thing. like look at how he hesitates and questions himself most missions, compared to the instant "let's go" attitude he has during the native missions. I really love that he has almost no doubts about helping the people at Wapiti after he knows their struggles. (except for that one out of character moment at 5:10:30. he's been so sure with helping them before this. I'm pretty sure is one of the first times you help the natives IF you DONT help them before so maybe that's why. if not then i have no idea why he acts like it's not his business after all he's done for them.) EDIT: ALSO, when he helps captain Monroe and rains fall, he has NO problems shooting at soldiers or risking his life. He gladly went and retrieved the chanupa, and gladly saved Monroe from being arrested with 0 hesitation. However, when he's "helping" them when its Dutch's idea, he doesn't want to mess with the army and constantly tells them it's a bad idea like at 5:49:43, 5:51:26 and most importantly 5:53:52
I also don't understand moments like these. Other weird moment is that time he refused to help the German Family when they were looking for the second camp spot, even Charles says to him that its not normal. My best guess is that Rockstar still wanted to show Arthur hesitant and not perfectly moral yet, or to make low honor Arthur less weird
The music you wanted is not "Our Best Selves", it is "The Delights of Van Horn". "Our Best Selves" is an alternate version of that music that we can hear in another mission.
This man been playing the game for a million hours by now and I swear watching him struggle with the most basic control things is one of the funniest parts to me. Like during the Monroe mission where all he has to do is press x to climb onto the wagon like he's climbed a thousand walls, fences, rocks, crates, ledges before and he's just there circling the wagon cluelessly for 5 minutes has me rolling every time. 😂
When you're on the edge of that cliff and Dutch is giving his gravity speech (again) I tried to kill all those soldiers. I had every one shot with dead eye and it still makes you die if you shoot at them..
act man has such bad ptsd from sean getting shot in rhoades that everytime he walks down a street during a mission he gets scared a character will die 🤣🤣
whats hilarious is that when the Train was coming, Arthur was under the bridge and John couldve either went under with Arthur or he couldve ran off the track but he called Arthur to come help him get off with that SLOW kart that moves near almost a walking pace. just shows why Arthur keeps calling John dumb in Chapter 1
I have been looking forward to and watching all of these streams! I can say that if you played red dead 1 right after this it would be both awesome and the story would be in the correct order!
Arthur: I'm dying... His friends: wait, let me pick up ginseng! Arthur: I'm dying... His friends: wait, my train's here! John: Arthur...he's.. His friends: not now, my trolley's here!
The worst part of bill bad mouthing Arthur was that Arthur has gone out of his way to defend bill before, chapter 6 is where Bill turns into a real bastard

I'm not sure if anybody has noticed that the music that starts playing during the scene at 05:58:28 sounds much like the Gaptooth Breach combat music from rdr1.
Great stuff ActMan! Can't wait for next episode
Act Man: "I stopped antagonizing people"
This is where I started antagonizing Micah and the RDR1 gang survivors. The dialogue was fitting too because Arthur kept calling Micah a snake, and he kept saying Javier and Bill were blind.
Watching you play this series is the most viewing fun I've had on RUclips in a long time. Keep up the good work.
If both Arthur and John get killed in "The bridge to nowhere" mission the story will end and RDR1 will vanish from the stores. 😂
Gotta love how Act Man calls Jack the rat while Jack is looking for his dead dog that Micah killed lol
Im hard coping but I expect he will do a surprise stream at night, that would be perfect
We should be 12 minutes into the stream as I'm writing this comment...and nothing 😔
@@John_Matt2707he doesn’t do all of his streams at 2
I have never seen someone want to run through a game faster
@@ardillachica9037 I did this in my first playthrough, minus the fast travel, now I want to go back to the days where I had new content to explore.
If I had a nickel for every time Dutch jumped off a cliff, I’d have two, but it’s weird it happened twice
You're a good man @TheActMan . A good man
I love how Arthur is usually unsure that he's doing good and hates doing what he does, but while he's helping the natives he seems 100% sure he's doing the right thing. like look at how he hesitates and questions himself most missions, compared to the instant "let's go" attitude he has during the native missions. I really love that he has almost no doubts about helping the people at Wapiti after he knows their struggles. (except for that one out of character moment at 5:10:30. he's been so sure with helping them before this. I'm pretty sure is one of the first times you help the natives IF you DONT help them before so maybe that's why. if not then i have no idea why he acts like it's not his business after all he's done for them.)
EDIT: ALSO, when he helps captain Monroe and rains fall, he has NO problems shooting at soldiers or risking his life.
@@BackupRealyeah it's clear a lot of Arthurs responses to characters is ambiguous to make both high and low rep Arthur work somewhat with the lines
The music you wanted is not "Our Best Selves", it is "The Delights of Van Horn".
"Our Best Selves" is an alternate version of that music that we can hear in another mission.
"there's a spider on your mic" 😂 that's a great lie, I Iike that
Sounds like Act Man got a touch of LUNGbago.
"I got a plan.... this is a good one."
As a wise man once said:
You should do a loving act now!!!!
2:40:50 No Act Man that was the hot air balloon mission but they both start in that bar
When you're on the edge of that cliff and Dutch is giving his gravity speech (again) I tried to kill all those soldiers. I had every one shot with dead eye and it still makes you die if you shoot at them..
no thumbnail = no stream .Praise be
Sadie doesn't have that cake, she has the whole bakery! 😋
I´m afraid this is the best game ever
Low honor arthur would be like "im not afraid"
can't wait for the sady missions next time!
So much smoke and noise… NOISE AND SMOKE!! LOTS OF SMOKEY NOISE!!
act man has such bad ptsd from sean getting shot in rhoades that everytime he walks down a street during a mission he gets scared a character will die 🤣🤣
I guess he cant find Thumbnail
THE ONIONS GOT HIM. WE WIN BOYS :')
57:29 act man when he sees sadie
2:53:08 Dutch gets his back blown out
For fishing, I changed settings to hold button instead of rotate. Practically makes it a non issue
It’s not an issue period. If you’re not raising and lowering your rod you’re just fishing wrong lol
whats hilarious is that when the Train was coming, Arthur was under the bridge and John couldve either went under with Arthur or he couldve ran off the track but he called Arthur to come help him get off with that SLOW kart that moves near almost a walking pace. just shows why Arthur keeps calling John dumb in Chapter 1
I can’t believe I didn’t question this 😂. Just goes to show how invested I was
RIP chad arthur , never forget
Can’t wait for next stream
Your Arthur "look out!" keeps cracking me up 😂
I have been looking forward to and watching all of these streams!
You're not stupid or re***ded, You're an awesome dude with great content and streams 👍.
Praise be, Arthur Mustard.
Love the streams, itll be a bum when theyre over.
Same.
5:40:36 it's all fun and games until you have a yapping contest with Ulysses. (Goat character tho, bro makes alot of good points"
“Did I fuck something up” nah man sometimes people just fall apart.
Arthur is at stage 5 terminal lumbago 😔
Does Act Man know you can shoot upwards, duck on horse, take cover etc. Love these streams
Duck on horse? That is the first time I hear that...how do you do it?
@@hoseinmz645it's only in online
Yeah explain the duck on horse things you're talking about because I haven't seen anyone do that before, let alone do it myself.
@ConnorEduard I wasn't talking about that specificly, but yeah I swear you can by pressing the dive controls if I remember right
@@111CC that button is to ride sideways if your bond is high enough level?
The worst part of bill bad mouthing Arthur was that Arthur has gone out of his way to defend bill before, chapter 6 is where Bill turns into a real bastard
