I thought you were kidding but good for you for discovering in your mature years an adapter that has been around for at least 60 years

Thanks for telling people who are looking for this. Yes, the adapter has been around for as long as presta valves exist. But even knowing what a
    presta/sclaverand/french valve, ... a dunlop/blitz/woods/english/german/dutch/alligator valve, ..., an italian/regina, ... or a schrader/american/automobile valve
is can be a hurdle to many people who should be cycling but are using automobile cars instead.

Thanks for the comment, it's surprising how many folks struggle with this. 🚴🚴

if you have a bike with large diameter tires, shraeder valves are easier to use and probably a good idea. If you like to ride fast and have skinny tires that need high pressure, you will need presta valves. They operate better at high pressures and can be locked to prevent leakage.

Think so, for sure. Keep pedalling 🚴🚴

Do you suggest leaving the presta valve unscrewed, with the adaptor mounted? Or just tightening back up and replacing the cap with the adaptor, for handy placement?

Better to tighten back up. Thanks for the comment 🚴
